  • Get a HD PVR and shut up about how much a dazzle sucks :D

  • i dont see a difference

  • s-video is the best right?

  • It's too hard and expensive. Simplify things and just buy a fucking roxio or HD PVR. I searched everywhere and no what your recording with or on the dazzle is ok. People don't want to watch videos with ok quality, it needs to get good-perfect quality for people to show interest. Just saying the extra money you shell out maybe 20-40 bucks will be worth it in the long run, hopefully.

  • @Zoidberg815 js dazles are 40 bucks and hd pvrs are 200 and up -_-

  • @SerpexaFlexa I bought my Roxio and now plan to do some video walkthroughs and commentaries on this channel with it. Peep out my channnel it's not perfect but it's better than this. I got for 60 bucks btw.

  • @Zoidberg815 people watch because they are interested in the subject matter. Ive seen plenty of 1080p videos that suck ass. video quality hellps yes but its not everything

  • S-video is better

  • s video is better, wanna tut for dazzle?

    youtube.com/watch?v=LqQI_0wUGLA

  • You fail with the sniper xD

  • well, S video definitely looks beter.

I have no way to actually use any S video plugins, so there goes the S video option for me XD

I can just edit the video to make it look like it came from the S video. it amazes me how adjusting the brightness and contrast improves the look of the video dramatically

  • S-Video is liitle bit better if you look good

  • @TheBikerboi12 Yes, if you already have the dazzle. But I assume you would also need the splitter, or your TV will also need the S-video output. Look to the related videos (on the right) for "How to record from your video game system" for more help.

  • get a hd pvr way better.Im going with the s-video

  • s video has more color than composite /c\learer

  • You can't tell in the video, but S-Video is a LOT better than Composite. I know from experience about this, too. You may not see a huge difference on the TV screen, but the final video will be much better when you use an S-Video cable. Even EasyCAPs (what I have) look amazing when you use an S-Video cable.

  • the only difference i see is that the s-video one looks slightly darker

  • Ugly. Check out my quality its alot clearer on rust. I will be posting a tutorial after 50-100 subs so yea.

  • Composite looks better to be honest :D

  • i recommend watchin my vid, i use a easycap D60+ and its better quality then a dazzle trust me, and i play in HDMI while recording

  • s video is better

  • What the difference between the Dazzle video creator platinum and Dazzle video creator ??

  • so which one has better quality i cant tell

  • You can just use Composite and render it on Sony vegas,

  • @MegaXboxGuides it's still not hd and looks the same noob.

  • @yore5 .... S-video isnt hd on a Dazzle noob..

    Dazzle DVC cant record hd.

  • @MegaXboxGuides im not saying s video is hd. it is the same as composite but handles a richer video stream. i was referring to hd as better picture quality. sony vegas wont do much to better your clips rather than color correction, maybe.

  • s video

  • oh god this was my favorite halo 3 map when i used to have an xbox. ill buy one again someday! whats this map called?

  • @mattehISme isolatiion :D

  • @FoeVcodezZ mmm delicious

  • I though svideo was better guess not

  • okay i have a dazzle the white one it was 40$ and it gives shit quality! go look! why the hell am im not atleast getting what th componate cabble is getting? please answer!

  • @capturedHD Component Cables are HD, and the Dazzle doesn't support HD. This is why I suggest getting the HD PVR, which is $150, and you don't need all the other wires to set it up like you do with the dazzle.

For your quality, I can suggest finding some widescreen settings to maybe increase the quality (rendering in 1080 and stretching the SD video usually isn't good). For the text being unreadable, Its a fairly common problem that you can find a solution to by searching youtube or google.

  • @BlindFireSniper or, you know, you can crack sony vegas and get it for free, and then after you capture your video, you can render the entire video, into beautiful 1080p quality, thus saving you about $150, but i do think getting a HD pvr and cracking Sony Vegas would be smarter, so.... YA!

  • @capturedHD check out quality on my channel.. you can get that quality easily with a dazzle, almost looks like pvr

  • @capturedHD ok im watching this in 2012 and now your a machinama director

  • i dont have ANY "TV outputs" on my TV, is there a way i can still record? PLEASE EXPLAIN!!

  • @SwordSlice73 Yes, you need a splitter. Look on the related videos to the right for the video called "How to record from your video game system". This is the video i first used to set mine up. Your going to need the option with the splitter.

  • Hey guys I've got some really good Dazzle Quality, have a look

  • @KourindoNguyen97 That's most likely an S-Video input, unless it says output or Monitor Out. Input is what you would plug the xbox into, output would be from the TV to the Dazzle. If you don't have any outputs then you have to buy a splitter.

  • Sick Headshot Dude!

  • S-Video is better

  • You can use RGB HD cables. The RGB HD cables that could with the xbox should have the Red/white/yellow cabes on them aswel. And you can play in 480p. It actually costs less than a normal set up because you dont need the extra splitter.

Search: How to play in hd and record with a dazzle

Youre not actually playing in HD but its slightly better quality than just the normal cables.

  • @IxTeejxI Nope, that wont work because you need the splitter in order to play on the TV and record at the same time. You can't just plug the wires into the dazzle from the xbox because you will get a lag between your controller and the preview screen on the PC. And you can't use the RGB cables, but you can use the Xbox one that has both, as long as your using the Composite side.

  • @BlindFireSniper @BlindFireSniper I know. I did mention about the splitters. Its cheaper than the normal set up because you only need 2 splitters not 3. Plus it would just be sound that doesnt come through your telly, because you havent got the red and white plugged in.

It works, trust me, thats how I record.

  • I understand that the dazzle has an S-Video port, but where do I plug the other end of the s-video cable? Please explain!

  • @KU0R Into your splitter. If you are using an older TV, you can find the "Monitor Output" on the back. If there is an S-Video out you can use that to go from the TV to the Dazzle. Basicly, it would look like Xbox -> TV -> Dazzle; instead of the normal Xbox -> Splitter -> TV and Dazzle. To use the Splitter and S-Video, you will need a S-Video Xbox Cable.

  • @BlindFireSniper I find the complicated because I dont use splitters. What I do is plug my game cables into my vcr in port. then plug 1 side of a double ended rca cable into the vcr out, and then plug the other end into the dazzle. I still cant figure out how to use an s-video cable though. And plus, i dont use xbox so i dont have an svdieo xbox cable.

  • @0301103 you need to get amcap and set the capture filter to secam b

  • MY OPINION IS S-VIDEO

  • 0:10 is a good comparison, if you pause it there and watch in 1080p.

  • i use component cable with 360 like blur green n red and put it on hd , can i plug the dvc in there cause i dont wana loose the hd.

  • @whererent Nope, you have to play in SD or buy an expensive work around. For as much as all that costs you could get an HD Capture Card.

  • @0301103 I'm not to sure, check Google. I don't use a dazzle anymore but i remember having that problem. Make sure in the options for video you have it set to S-Video or Composite, depending on what your using. Should be on the lower half of the capture screen.

  • i have to use the red white blue green and another red cables for my tv so how do i get it to connect to my dazzle?

  • @DatGuyWhoSnipes

You can't. You have to either use the composite (red/white/yellow) or buy an HD Capture card. There is most likely other ways to do it but they are going to end up costing you the same amount as an HD capture card.

  • S-Video is suppose to have a better video quality than Composite, although ironically they look very much the same.

  • Composite delivers better quality. If you'd like to hook up S-Video you'd need an S-Video cable.

  • get easy cap cheaper

  • @snapplejacksabc yea but the interlace lines are horrific, but yes, it is cheaper, and worth the money

  • @snapplejacksabc sucks

  • @snapplejacksabc but lesser quality in most cases

  • @snapplejacksabc Easy Cap Is Shit

  • @megarandomdude100 i use easycap and i get good quality out of mine

  • Dazzle doesn't support HD dipshit...

  • @ssjcmc82 You can render it in HD just can't record it in HD. Not disagreeing with you, just saying for others. :P

  • Composite can actually look pretty good if you use a new cable.

  • if you cant see a difference then check out comparisons on mw2 you can see clearly that s-video is better :) hope it helped lol

  • Where and what i need to record with S-video? please respond

    im using a ps3

  • @DudesTime You need an S-video xbox cable, usually sold at Radio Shack for $30. Then you need a splitter like the one in the related video called "How to record from your video game system". That video should help alot.

  • @BlindFireSniper

ok, i were looking hours ago there but i dont found the S-video cable for ps3 :(

  • @BlindFireSniper My s-video cable was only $7?

  • @EcHoxProduction Not an SVideo cable, a SVideo XBOX cable. So the wire coming out of the Xbox is Svideo.

  • @BlindFireSniper Ya my bad I figured that out the second after i posted my last comment

  • @BlindFireSniper is it the Xbox 360 S-Video AV Cable?

  • @ScriptHD Yes

  • @BlindFireSniper got one in wallmart:)

  • STOP BEING POOR AND GO BUY A FUCKING HD PVR, ALONG WITH A HD TV, no I'm jk, if we could we would, but here they look the same...

  • WAT THE DIFFERENCE ?

  • @thelagoonie1 S-Video quality is generally better.

  • What are your dazzle settings? And did you use Sony Vegas Pro?

  • lol i cant tell which one is better

  • rofl I know right? XD

  • The showing is much better on the left

  • aww man... kk well Ima use s-video form My G-card so Ill be recording my Games from my Desktop to a Smaller leptop, and I gues sIll lose quality, but they say that S-video is standard definition with the 4 pin s-video, but with 7-pin and 9-pin it will be HD... so it will really depend.....

  • my friend just bought a s-video, still trying 2 get his dazzle 2 work but tbh i think were going 2 go with composite, because i dont know how with S-Video or i do i dont really know but yea if any1 can really help please reply

  • Hey BlindFire, I was wondering if you could answer my question, it would be a huge help.

I'm going to buy an S-Video cable. As of now I'm using a composite cable to record from my HD TV. However, whenever I record video, the text in the video is somewhat unreadable.

Any reason as to why it might turn out that way?

  • Your XBOX has to be set to record with your computer, and not to play from your T.V.

Make sure your computer is recording NTSC, 1080 / 720 (Depending on what you choose), and widescreen or normal. All these settings have to be alligned with your XBOX for the text to be readable.

  • Alright thanks dude.

I'm playing SD Widescreen on my 52" TV, so my recording dimensions should be 1080/720, right?

  • lol is it worth it to buy the s video becuase its better but not by a lot. and can someone tell me wheats th diffrence between the red, white, and black dazzle?

  • can you do a tutorial on what you do?? i cant get good quality at all!!! :(

  • Minor diff, i'm sure if you did s-video vs HDMI or component cables you would see a HUGE difference

  • Yes, but no cap cards are compatible with them yet.

a component capcard was released by samsung not long ago though, but many people had troubles using it at anything above 480i

  • They look almost identical except they are both several shades darker or lighter than each other.

  • Which program do you record on your computer with?

  • He probably uses the software that came with his Dazzle, I think its Pinnacle Studio.

  • Yup ur correct

  • s-video. Not my much but it's a little better I think.

  • how do u get it with s-video?? , im using composite right now

  • On my Dazzle (I think im using the 170), there is a Yellow, White, and Red input. Then there is the S-Video input that looks nothing like that rest. In order for me to capture it with the S-Video, i CANNOT run it through my TV first, like i can with composite. I have a wire for the Xbox that comes out S-Video instead of HD and Composite. I just plugged that straight into the Dazzle.

  • If youcan get a XBOX 360 using PAL,you can likely get 576i out of it,be sure to deinterlace.

  • s-video
