Shoenfeld used to get his ass kicked by Trottier when Jim played for the Sabres. Always a blowhard, but when Gillies stepped to him he got real quiet. The only one he would fight without hesitation was Gary Howatt.

This was one of my favorite playoff series of all time, had so much drama, pittsburgh losing the first 2 at home, winning the next 2 at washington, including the 4ot game, which included lemieux getting tossed, a stopped penalty shot in 2ot and the fight between trot and schoenfield in game 5. The series had everything
