  • Thanks for the video. I also have the Lone Star and the Flag Council Bluffs. Love them great models. Those are the first 2 i have bought from Overland and must say OMI does a great job. i am glad I saw your video. i had some questions about the DCC in the cars. Do you have video of the cars functioning with DCC. Thanks B

  • how much is each locomotive?

  • James, where did u find a UP 7400 Pink Ribbon unit? I'd love to get one

  • @CPELVIRA yeah i put it up on ebay but then i ended the auction and kept it.

  • i am not selling my bsa unit on ebay that is someone else i also bought the overland pink ribbon unit again

  • OMI are king. I have 8 myself with 12 slated for 2012-13 delivery.

  • Do you have the pink ribbon unit?

  • @nyc3001 I had it and sold it because I am having a custom plastic one made.

  • great collection you have there, that UP 2010 unit is amazing

  • Not sure if you got my msg earlier cuz monsterrailroad is on his page tryin to act like his little 200 dollar engine is rarer than your overland boy scout hes so damn stupid your brass is worth a shitload more than a crap dash loco i just wiped a booger on my sw1500 does that mean it's rare? lol its one of a kind.....so that means its better than your brass and his weathered loco lol that mug al mayo is mad jealous and it eats him alive

  • Damn the UP engine is an expensive glass of tea. LOL I willbe honest though, I liked the smaller wind farms better because they did not overwhelm the layout as those new ones do. I use forced prospective on my wind turbines by placing them high up on my mountain. If I went to scale Size some of mine would hit my basement ceiling. It is just my opinion though and does not really matter. Nice ass Evo though

  • @MonsterRailroad yeah it's those licensing fees that killed the price on the Boy scout unit,. Yeah I see what you mean by the windmills. I liked them at first, but now they're just huge ass propellers on my layout. I'll still probably keep them because I don't fill like doing a whole new idea for a layout I've got to move every 2 years or so. That forces me to keep my layout simple because I don't feel like disconnecting and disassembling tons of stuff. Peace out!

  • @MonsterRailroad thats not what you said on your page u said that your custom dash is rarer than his brass jealousy doesnt look good on you

  • 15? WHY ON EARTH did they only make 15? like DAMN surely they know more then 15 people want that loco. urrg. But any way, very very very nice Brass collection!

  • @drewzdrew27 they only made 15 because the licensing fees were so astronomical. They knew alot of people wouldn't pay an absolutely huge amount for these locos. If anyone backed out, Overland Models would be stuck with the left behind models so they decided not to offer them to the public.

  • @jlwii2000 yeah, i knew why. BTW I was wondering if you could do me a favor. I have this plan to buy an intermountain ES44AC, and decal it to UP 2010, see as that NO manufacturer is wanting to deal with national and all there BS. would it be possible for you take a bunch of close up photos of the UP 2010 model, paying close attention to the decals. and provide some useful measurements as far as the decals are concerned? Being an Eagle Scout myself it would mean a lot to have UP 2010.

  • @drewzdrew27 sure PM me for my when my schedule will permit for measurements and photos

  • How did you get the 2010 why did Overland pick you little confused?

  • @NorfolkSoutherncats I'm not exactly sure.

  • very nice evo man i have one to but its a custom painted CSX yn3 but i love that up nice!!!!!!!!!!

  • it sould be dcc ready all you need to do is put a decoder in it.

overland models have dcc quick plugs installed.

  • @elr2141979 yeah I would want sound too, that I dont want to mess with by myself. Not for a locomotive that rare and expensive

  • awesome locomotive! It looks very sharp!

  • That UP 2010 is awesome. I think Im gonna get one.

  • Wow awesome brass trains, do you plan to run them on your layout soon all together?

  • @Tcostello105 I already have at my other channel modelrrtesttrack

  • Congrats man!! How can I get one of those? That engine is out of this world! Make a video of it running and upclose shot please!!

  • @retrainrun I did the runby video but I put it on my other channel modelrrtesttrack so go check it out there.

  • Outstanding!!!!! I love top of the line models! Congratulations!

  • WOW! Overland is the king!!

  • That Boy Scout Gevo is simply beautiful!

  • Nice but that boy scout locomotive is not worth that price.

  • @elr2141979 worth is an individual preference. Some people wouldn't pay $100 for this, while some people have already emailed me offering almost $3,000.

  • Great, like I really can afford something like that, heck everytime I try to bid on some brass, I get outbid so you can see I don't have the kind of budjet.

  • Verrrrrrrrry nice, John. I'm no diesel fan but you can't go against the beauty of that thing! Overland has outdone themselves.

  • that was fantastic the detail in those are amazing, would love to see a running video of the train, i bet that is kept under lock and key . Great clip ..

  • Great video

  • Oh my! I'm not in to model railroading but let me tell you: I find the quality, detail and crispness of these model absolutely breathtaking... But the prices are just insane, although I know that it's worth it seen the time, effort and material that has been used to fabricate these.

Thanks for the vid, is there a possibility for you to make a couple of vids running these? =)

  • @bazZy33K I did the runby video but I put it on my other channel modelrrtesttrack so go check it out there.

  • congrats on getting the boy scout engine!

  • was that BSA over 5 grand?

  • WOW I love that BSA locomotive it will hold its value very well!! I also like all the brass passenger cars, they all look amazing! I'm looking forward to seeing a running video!

  • Nice stuff you have there James. Brian is a cool dude to do business with and looks like you go the full hook up from him. Get it to Ligar and show that C45AC loc running around your layout..

  • Do you know how heavy brass locos is compared to die-cast & plastic locos? Will brass run good?

  • What does Ligar charge to convert a brass car from DC to DCC? I have a few surfliner's I'd like to get done.

  • If it wasn't canary yellow I could model it. I'm still keen on Scarlet and Gray.

  • is this 0 gauge or 0 scale as you may call it ? thx i model ho/00

  • @pyronathanpyro this is ho scale

  • @jlwii2000 wow it looks so much bigger this guy i knwo has a huge o scale one in his basement it has sound and smoke it looks good and i do like you layout

  • simply amazing

  • I SO WANT ONE!!

  • Champion update, gotta love Carltons work. You need them in a run-by shot all lit up :)

Sending down a few passenger cars of my own to Ligar for an offical DCC pimp my train update.

How do you find the Brass loco's run? I've heard mixed reviews?

  • I was wondering if any manufacture would make UP 2010. Nice collection!

  • Are you a dealer or a modeler?

  • @dbdrdbag modeler

  • very nice set! ver rare - take great care of it man!

  • Wow like $2,700 on that loco

  • Wow, that's an impressive collection. I was glad I was sitting down when you started quoting the MSRPs. I hope it gives you years of enjoyment. Thanks for sharing.

  • HOLY CRAP AND I MEAN HOLY CRAP lots of brass lots of money in to that

  • how do you get all that money??? (no need to answer)

  • looks good man. overland models a lister? you can take that to the bank.

  • I saw the UP boy scout loco last year in reality, nice model!

  • dang .

  • Amazing stuff. The sheer price of brass and the fact that it's non dcc friendly is why I stay away from it. Still, it's extremely cool.

  • Just really nice. Can you add me as frIend.

  • Great review man, It's shocking how fast the Overland Models UP cars come and go with in a short time.

  • Those are simply beautiful. Each is like a work of art. Brass is an excellent investment.
