Also, there is very small "truths" to your method. Your method is based off of anecdotal evidence and is opinionated. There is very little "truth" to what you're saying. "It worked for me, it'll work for you!!" is not truth - it is opinion. You do have some points, but again this is not even remotely anything new, and everything I just watched I have read about years ago from PUA books.

Of course, they offer and suggest the usage of scripts, which is completely fine for beginners. Beginners need some motivation to get out on the field. The scripts build confidence. In the end, it's all about building confidence, and once you have that confidence, the scripts become meaningless. They are there to help you find your way, just as you are doing now. There's really no need to attack them because what you're preaching is straight out of the books.

But that's just about your method. I can definitely understand where you're coming from but your method of going about it sucks. On top of that, you're creating a competition vs. actual PUA books - why? It's clear that you're a PUA and what you're saying is literally straight from the books. So why build the unnecessary competition? The PUA "manuals" don't exist for you to follow a script. They exist to get you on your path, so that you can build your own script. Any artist will tell you this.

Think about how long a week is. We're talking 7 days here. Seven. That's a long time to not talk to anyone, or to not approach anyone at all. See, our brain works with the law of "use it or lose it": when we don't use something often, the skill we have with it shrinks. Of course, we can build that skill back up, but it still shrinks temporarily. Now apply that to not talking to people for a week. It's very likely that you'll build up an amount of anxiety towards using that method.

Your method, the one you brought up that involves being silent for a week, makes sense on paper. You stay silent for a week, write down whatever you see, and through that method, you become more observant and in-the-moment. It makes sense because it allows you to play situational openers more often because you're observing them for a week. However, the flaw lies in the silence of the activity because by keeping your mouth shut for a week, you are going to lower your own communication skill.
