i dont get it.. i have like a very good pc (hd 6950 2gb, intel i5 750, 4gb ram)

but every game still lags like hell and many have texture bugs..

i have the pcsx2 0.9.8

u should buy and alien ware..if u want to play ps2....or buy an ps2 for 70 bucks...

@ronignino The problem is your cpu, it's too weak, I think for those 70 bucks you can actually upgrade to something better, able to play this game full speed (and at higher resolutions) if you live in the US...and that graphics card might not cut it either, a GTS 450 would do and it's cheap.

@LaBotellona08 Emulation isn't GPU intensive. Almsost any GPU will do just fine, provided you have a monster CPU. But by a monster CPU, I really mean a monster CPU.

@alkafrazin I have a Phenom II 955 stock settings and a GTS 250 512MB (which is basically a 9800GTX+) and I can run this game on 60fps constant and my CPU most definitely isn't a "monster" cpu, it's powerful but not a monster...

You need a "monster" cpu for this emulator, and specially the FF games...a good Core2Duo would do just fine if not better than my phenom for this purpose...

I can't run Gran Turismo 4 at full speed for example, or Mortal Kombat Armageddon or Street Fighter EX3 (which during gameplay dips down to 52fps).

@alkafrazin Not every single game is affected by the SSE4.1 support or the PCSX2 benchmark, some games are more demanding than others or less demanding...

GT4 is very demanding for example, and probably runs better on intel cpus than on AMD...

Wait vsync, Alpha Correction & Logarithmic Z turned on. Resolution: Your native Resolution (1680x1050 for me); Renderer: Direct 3D9 for XP, Direct 3D10 for Vista. Shader: Pixel Shader 3.0, Interlacing: None, Ratio: you decide, D3D Internal Res: Also use your native resolution (for best results. Lower it if slow).

have a quad core amd with HD3600 graphics, i can get the game to run well enuff, but i cant get it to stop crashing when i come back out of the menu, or try to return to the game from a save. I have tried the f1 method to save, but i cant see how il get through the game without being able to get through any of the men lol. could u help... please?

You should be able to run it like a dream provided you have the right settings in PCSX2. Any Core 2 Duo or Quad will run the emulator well with 3.0GHz or over. The emulator is more CPU dependant but having a good GPU is great also and yours is so I see no problems in you running this.

lol play it with the plugins that use directx not the opengl ones that suck,thats why its so hard for you to reach good fps and u get glitches,i had no graphic glitches,well except for one little dungeon the whole game

U dont need a high end Graphics card, but a good CPU.

nVidia 8800 or higher should be enough...

Core2 Duo 3 GHz is a minimum to get smooth FPS.

In future versions, 4 cores will be supported and 64 Bit
