halo 1 is the best multiplayer and campaign. Most will argue that halo 1 cannot qualify for multiplayer because it was not supported by live. However, xbox connect was the shit and did the job.
halo 1 was definetly my favorite campaign and halo 2 is probably my favorite multi cause u could just get in a game with a bunch of randoms and then go play tower of power on ascension for like 2 hours straight. Also all the fun ass glitches like superjumps and butterflying. There was just so much stuff that kept live fun in halo 2.

the reason why ODST wasnt so great was because bungie released it while MAKING HALO REACH. It was meant to be a DLC, but as it had firefight, campaign and multiplayer maps, bungie released it as a full game, and sort of Halo 3.5
Halo 2 was my favorite campaign, and multiplayer, I loved Halo 3 for all the new stuff, like forge, threatre, and the great graphics. Reach will have everything and more

Halo 2 was by far the best Halo game all around. With ODST and Combat Evolved as a tie (Firefight and moderately great story ties it up with an epic story), and lastly Halo 3.
fave game, thats a tough one... i got into the CoD franchise before Halo when i got CoD3 for my PS2. and i got Halo 3 about a month after getting my 360 last year... i've only recently started playing Halo 1 and 2 so i dont really hav an opinion on them yet... hmm... ok my top 3 games are Halo 3 for its insane story and cinematics, CoD4 for its multi and, this is an odd one, Unreal Tournament 2004 for the PC, i dno why but when i play it i cant put it down til im asleep at my keyboard.

@Mezecs That was somewhat how they wanted it to look. This isn't like the normal Halo Trilogy, there is very little saving humanity heroics in this game, it is about humanity fighting for their right to survive against the force that is known as the Covenant, which was pretty much unstoppable with the Elites as the main force. They wanted it to be darker, grittier, more war-like is the jits of it. Depressing much as humanity's main force, Reach, is took out.

cod is so fake warfare cant break sheet metal with a grenade but halo would make sense they could have developed a stronger wall and stuff but halo is my personnal favorite when i firstp layed halo 1 i was 4 i loved it was a little hard to play{really small hands and big controllers on xbox} but i enjoyed it then i loved the multiplayer on halo 2 and 3.

I liked ODST because the atmosphere was really good in that game with the music, though the gameplay wasn't too much of a different. Reach will be amazing.

@Mezecs That was somewhat how they wanted it to look. This isn't like the normal Halo Trilogy, there is very little saving humanity heroics in this game, it is about humanity fighting for their right to survive against the force that is known as the Covenant, which was pretty much unstoppable with the Elites as the main force. They wanted it to be darker, grittier, more war-like is the jits of it. Depressing much as humanity's main force, Reach, is took out.
