This is an open guard posture control, I saw this on Nogueira's dvd. Not to say that this is only Nogueira's technique, I am just saying i have seen this on his dvd....it seems to be an efficient posture control.

The first is called the triangle choke, the second is called the omoplata, check out eddie bravo's book, jiu jitsu unleashed, it has many helpful moves inside... if your interested.

Omoplata is a slightly diferent than that tecnique, what he was doing was demenstrating a hold he likes to use to hold the opponent in place and from there demonstrated a kimura.
