@Momentum139 saw it too and will add english one soon, but i wish they kept the original greed or made him sound like the japanese version, then it would be epic
@superchou50, meh, I did notice that Greedling was supposed to sound like the original, but I prefer how the new Greed has this really cocky voice compared to the stuffy one the old one had, even though ironically the first Greed is/was my favorite Homunculus in the whole story.
But hey, he can't sound like the Japanese version, because frankly, a Japanese accent doesn't work for a character who is ethnically Chinese.
@nickoking, well, not precisely you, but when I hear that the original is automatically better when I distinctly feel its not (perhaps even obviously), I feel its because many automatically think the canon/original is better. And I will say its better, because a Japanese accent does not fit a Russian/Chinese character in most cases. (Ling/The Brigg Army).
@Momentum139, but I suppose it could just be because I get a better grasp of the emotions in each character, because rather than looking down at the screen to read what's going on I'm following their voices and actions as they are moving along and keeping up with the story. The dubbed voicing allows for me to process the action and dialogue a lot faster than reading subtitles, its also less distracting. That's probably why anyone like me would think it's better.
@Momentum139 and an american accent does ? the original is better because the voice actors do a higher quality and more believable job in portraying the emotions of their character
@nickoking, they attempt. Saying the original is better due to "higher quality and more believable job portraying emotions"? Funny how that's what every "sub-only" person tells me and they leave it at that. That's solely an opinion, an interpretation, and that reduces everything else to a fallacy you bastard. Don't take this personally, but telling me it "portrays emotions better" when you're reading text at the bottom of a screen and probably don't understand the language fails to convince -_-
When I was younger I might have bought the "emotions r more clear" lulz from sub people. But I read about the director of Cowboy Bebop, Shinichiro Watanabe, himself admitting that the english dub sounded better, and I think most of the English-speaking crowd can agree. Just saying it portrays emotions better in a language one does not comprehend, to me, that just sounds ridiculous to me. Or maybe I'm wrong - maybe you are a native/fluent Japanese speaker?
@Momentum139 you think the dub does? iunno i think the japanese are better cause they have people who spacifically do anime wheres over here they dont they have voice actors ...but its better to watch not read i guess

@superchou50. Just watched it, and it was FREAKING AWESOME.
Ling's English VA is ironically superb. The dub towers over the original japanese man, its great!

@Momentum139 ill admit that as dubs go fma is pretty good, but to say that it is better than the original is just plain wrong
