Hi my name is Shea(pronounced shay) , I danced in the opening ceremoonies for the paralympics this year and I got to meet all the paralympians back stage(even rick hansen!!!) it was so amazing to see how much courage and inthousiam they had, it was really inspiaring and will be something i will never forget... and i hope to be on the womens olympic hockey team when im older!!! :)
This is awesome... I'm in Vancouver and went to a few Olympic events and also this week saw my first Paralympic sledge hockey game.... Was unbelievable to see.... Hope they show more coverage of the games on TV since they are pretty inspiring. Vancouver is doing a great job in attendance to these events. Also, noticed large groups of people with disabilities in the crowd and can see that they were just loving the events. Gave me goosegumps!
Hello. My name is Michael and I am a 12 year old who had a birth defect leading to a spinal cord, physical disability called "Spina Bifida". I find it really sad how lots of "regular" people think that the paralympics are not fun to watch, that sadly leaves the TV broadcasters to fail in widely broadcasting all of the wonderful events.
I hope this time will be different.
Someday I want to compete in the winter paralympics part of the Men's Downhill.
Just found that German telly will be broadcasting around 21 hours from this year's games. That's nearly double of what they did from Turin 2006. Slowly we're getting somewhere.
this is unbelievable...
