So December 2010 it Snowed heavily in NYC. July 2011 they had an heat wave, hot summer in NYC and in Winter 2011 to February 2012, its an mild Winter. NYC is amazing, the weather is different each season, Real Cold in winter and Mega hot in Summer
@westsidejatt2 Once in ten years new york see anything of a dump of snow that resembles what we see in this video. This snowstorm also hit new york when it was sleeping obviously. lol
@waveysoap here in vancouver the rains that follow a big dump of snow clear the streets along with salt and mild temperatures.....we don't and never will have to call in the national quard to help mother nature do what comes naturally!! Yes we've had dmps od snow inescess of a foot, a number of times, the most recent being christmas 2008...and again no national quard or army to help us clean up the mess, my god already!
@positiveworldtravel well today were getting 3 inches but i miss last winter. It was crazy and amazing at the same time. These warm ups we keep getting sucks though I mean we had 60+ Inches of snow last year and this year we barely have an inch but will have 3 inches or so from whatever comes from this storm. But i'm a blizzard person. Not a light snow storm person lol Anything below a foot and half is not good snow
This is the only way that I like NYC when is under heavy Snow Storm!!! By the way at 3:25 ultra mega fail, jajaja, you will need a Mitsubishi Montero, or Pajero or Triton, or L200(new ones), to get you out of there!!!
This is Kamchatka !!! - Сказал циклон и высыпал over 9000 тонн снега на NYC ! ( This is Kamchatka ! - Said cyclone and poured over 9000 tons of snow on NYC ! (Google Translator))
I visited New York once. It was hot and smoggy. The pavements were overcrowded with angry people. I was warned not to travel on the subway. The streets were filthy & crammed with homeless. All the shops are very expensive and full of cheap rubbish. The restaurants are dirty & the food is tasteless. The hotdogs are disgusting & taste of vomit. My expensive hotel was infested with bedbugs. I refused to tip & was thrown out of 5 restaurants. I was mugged 3 times. I am never going back.
i live in belgium and the only thing we have is rain, rain and more rain! where is that damn snow?! i bet america stole all the snow! i hate these rainy christmasses!
@checkoutmrpushypants We are now back in Australia and it was great to experience a white Christmas. Looking forward to a hot Aussie summer this year though!
@positiveworldtravel yeah Miami is not only hot all year round but in summer is unberable so much that i have friends that go to Canada every summer I love New york i been 4 times there but always in october or november never been in summer or full winter My question is if in such conditions people still go to work and stuff
yeah it snows a couple times a month. sometime you get huge ass snow storms like this one or and sometimes you get just coatings. but we usually get like 1 or 2 blizzards like this every year some times more
@93joeanthony In the way you said it ,it doesnt sound terrible only 2 or 3 times ? but then the clean up how long it takes after the storm? What i heard is that when snow is falling is not even cold but the problem turns out next day when snow turnsout into ice right?
yeah always like the next 2 to 3 days it sucks especially if its a blizzard. everything is wet and gross. and then when the streets get cleared you still got piles on the curb and shit for days. and it depends on the weather if it gets icy out. sometimes they have ice warnings when it dont even snow lmaoo
Nothing compared to our ice storm about 3 years ago. So many trees ruined, and we were without heat and electricity for a week, some went for 6 weeks. Hope that never happens again. I always feel the most sorry for the homeless people and homeless animals in the winter. It is horrible what they go through, and many don't make it.
@r26y871 That sounds terrible. Our storm was more fun for us. It is a shame the city doesn't have measures in place to protect people and animals in the winter. Shelters should be set up during these times or is the problem just to big?
@thegodofevil We love the heat and we love the cold. Either way they are both fun. As long as you have water to swim in the heat or a fire for the cold.
Hey this is where I want to go to college; downtown NYC. I'm considering Berk. and Fordham. Are there "nicer" and "newer" colleges than those, downtown?
@xDeaDxLegacY Elise has been to Ireland once before. We plan on coming in the future. We here nothing but great things about the country and the friendly chatty people. Look forward to going eventually.
Here in Michigan, we would give anything for that snow, and there was none at the time this was happening, hopefully it will be more snowy than last year
Love it. Peace from Philly, NYC's 6th Borough. No one love’s NYC like Philly natives, as NYC is made up of people who moved there from Philly, as we are only an hour away via Amtrak train ride. Have you ever heard the saying, Philly trains New York artist? Well, in many instances this is true. We here in Philly would never dar say Philly is even close to being as great and cool as New York, we know our place and respect NYC, for the magic place it is. As Philly does have the spirit of NYC.
@positiveworldtravel No my double post was a mistake on my part. Sorry about the redundancy.

So this is your site, positive travel? Very interesting idea! I also find your underlying philosophy to be interesting.
@positiveworldtravel And of course it’s interesting that due to my, “mistake” in double posting and your commenting on it, I was lead to review your site and watch a few of your travel-food videos. @positiveworldtravel All joking aside, I find what you’re doing intriguing, and interesting. I believe I will even give you a second look next time. Thanks for your energies my friend & enjoy this magnificent day. Peace from Philly.
@positiveworldtravel P.S.: You asked, you like Philly”, well I love where ever I am in this very short life. But I would by all accounts rather be doing whatever I do in NYC. I lived there off & on, like many Philadelphians’ do during the course of our short lives. And yes, I do miss it during this time of the year, especially when everyone else is away on vacation. Until next time.
This is an excellent perceptive of life in New York's busier part of town on the day after being bombarded with an unsurmountable amt of the white stuff. I've never seen it like this in our busy part of Vancouver, be it Granville & Robson or perhaps Davie & Burrard, even the Stanley Park causeway, nope have never seen it looking this good & this quiet, believe me this scene/video is easy on the eyes. I wish I could be there to enjoy this spectable of mother nature looking so refreshing.THX
