@iaminvisibletoo Quick follow up, but check out Wolf Parade (especially "Apologies to Queen Mary" and "expo 86"), if they're not already on the radar. I know their sound isn't that similar, but the mood they put me in is the same.

@SignalCascade Oh yes, I've heard Wolf Parade. They definitely do put me in the same mood mood as Cold War Kids. It must be that blues/jazz influence.

It's really a shame I haven't gotten a chance to see CWK live, though. I've seen some live videos, and Nathan Willett sounds just as great (if not better) live. It's refreshing to see a musician that doesn't rely on auto-tuning or other studio parlor tricks.
