@kirksajerk Don't worry, his Z28 Muscle V8 from 1984 has 114 less hp than this "wimpy" V6 LOL. These guys need to listen to cars that have REAL power. American V8's are great, but listen to a Ferrari with 500+ horsepower with no turbos or supercharger. Does it sound like a "muscle" car? NO. Sounds high-pitched like this. If the American "Muscle" V8's were as advanced as this V6, they'd all have well over 500hp with no turbos or SC's completely stock. Sound doesn't mean shit.

@kirksajerk 2LT is nice...You should find one with the RS package. Really makes it look nice. I don't have any vids but there are a lot of others on here. "InsideLineVideo" on here has the vid that helped me make my decision. They clocked the SS V8 0-60 time of 5.0 seconds, and the RS V6 did 6.0. Only a second slower and costs like $8K less...sounds like a good deal to me! The V6 actually has a shorter stopping distance too from 60-0 mph probably because it's lighter.

@kirksajerk best would be a used 1lt/rs! difference from the 2lt is you will be missing out on leather and the 4guage pack. or u could get a new 2012 2ls m6 for $23k

@kirksajerk i understand completely. so you want iom/iom? you can find a 2lt/rs used with low mileage for about 25k to 27k. go on trucar.com and check/ local craigslist/ or camaro5.com in sale section. i want a fully loaded one too and i'm going to try and find a good deal or settle for a used ss for around 26k but that'll be too much power for me lol.

I'll also keep the Coyote 5.0 in mind. Even the G37s Coupe is a killer ride and the new chally v6 with the penstar & 3.06 gears! Theres a couple out there to choose from

@byronmohawk my z28 is not stock lol dart iron eagle heads, edelbrock 650 carb, edelbrock performer intake, 268/280 xtreme energy cam w/ roller rockers and xtreme energy lifters, trickflow pushrods, hotchkis suspension, rebuilt 700r4 w/vette servo, and borla catback exhaust.

@kirksajerk actually I purchased the car for 1k, and after about 10k in mods I have a car that is significantly better than the 2011 v6 for 1/3 the price, its a great car being nearly 30 years old it has its shakes and rattles here and there but hey its a great car overall.

It will also outrun a '69 SS 396 (Motor Trend tested it). So you're saying you'd rather have a slower car with shitty gas mileage just because of the way it sounds? Hmm. P.S. if you put a $6000 turbo on this V6, it outruns a new SS, which costs $8000 more than a V6 anyway.
