@ArmyMad7 he's right. they should try to knock out there positions with, rockets and flanking maneuvers. i think what would be most effective is hevy fire support, and airesupport. then with minor motar and grenade launcher fire you maneuver around there flanks.

@Miles12345671 Do you have any examples of the US military in the stan retreating? I was in the US Army Infantry for 8 years and I've never heard a unit leaving because it was to hot. I'm not saying the US Army has never had bad days in the stan, but we don't just leave because it's hot or don't have water. This unit is letting the ACF dictate their actions.Granted they are babysiting ANA but when there is a lull in the fighting they should be hitting the enemy and bringing the fight to them.
@thehotshirtguy2008 firstly, i am sorry but i do not know what stan means lol. secondly, i have heard stories of US marines cutting patrols early using their humvees to get back to their FOB quickly for scran, but obviously they wouldn't retreat lol i know that, i don't think anyone would unless they were about to die, it's just whereas the RMC finished the job, the US marines cut it short becasue it was hot and they were hungry. (having said this there was no enemy so they were not retreating!)

The angle of the AK he's holding would make it impossible for a bullet to hit the dust cover. Unless the shooter was directly behind him.
Simple physics, knowledge, experience and eyesight prove this point. Look again.

The top dust cover of the Kalashnikov popped off. NOT THE MAGAZINE!!!!!
The magazine is still intact and the top cover shows no sign of bullet impact!
Causes are most likely a worn dust cover, crappy old or hot reloaded 7.62x39mm ammo, the AK firing slightly out of battery, or all of the above.
The reporter is milking his own ignorance of firearms, and playing off of the ignorance of their UK viewing audience.
