@BlueRice all sorts of things. mostly home manufacturing. i suggest you look into 3d printers like reprap for a better understanding

very nice demo
After the first part, I came up with a optional solution to the burning.
if you use a caustic soda material, it will remove all the carbonization
You may use the material used in carburetors cleaning automatically
In the past I invented an entire system. USP6153034 in which a wire was guided along a 3D path thus creating any model you want
I'd like to have more info and even to be involved in the R&D of this system

Hey there! I'm trying to make one also, i've just bought a TB6560 driver for my 4 axis...
I've got this idea of "shooting" the laser to the "sintering" points with mirrors instead of having a moving head (wich causes vibration)!
The laser diode i'll be using will be a 10w laser...
