  • I love this video

  • I was just wondering, what year is that chevy, I just bought an 84 Shortbed 4X4 and I love the hell out of the ol girl, just sucks she overheats too much. But I'm a DIE HARD Chevy man, so I'll do what I can for a Chevy pickup.

  • Reminds me of the 84 Chevy my grandpa used to own. toughest damn truck I have ever seen, and the toughest damn truck I ever drove. the body was fallin apart but I wouldve trusted that truck to take me from ohio to california with no problem over my 96 chevy. They Do Not make trucks that good anymore.

  • i have that same truck with 195,000 miles on it

  • @alanack67 thats noting for a chevy :)

  • kinda like the k-5 blazer they had at the airport i used to work at. that old truck plowed that airport for 16 years straight. eventually the salt killed it, like everything else in the climate. but it put up a really good fight

  • good video

  • Yes, the 73-87 was by far the best truck ever built. Cheap and ridiculously easy to fix, tough as nails, and reliable as can be. There is a reason there are still so many square bodies like yours still in use in the US military- because there is nothing in modern times that can compare to the 73-87. They had to go straight from these trucks to a Hummer, and by that, I mean a REAL hummer, not a garbage H2.

  • Ah. Ok. That makes sense. I hope you do get your license.

  • Chevy!!

  • I've always loved Chevy trucks, I love GMC trucks. Awesome video!

  • @Seattlecarnut i live near seattle. BTW gmc rules!!

  • @Hummers222 Sweet! Whereabouts? I live in Kirkland.

  • @Seattlecarnut i live in granite falls (small town near the mountain)

  • @Hummers222 I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Granite Falls. I know of the place, I just never visited there.

  • @Seattlecarnut cool, same with me, ive heard of kirkland, but ive never been there :)

  • @Hummers222 One of these days, you'll have to check Kirkland out. Seattle's nice, but it's too big and busy for me. Kirkland is just across Lk Washington from Seattle.

  • @Seattlecarnut maybe one of these days, but it is far from where i live, probably a 1-2 hour drive. I never go in that direction. my dad works in Kent, but if i ever go anywhere it other than where i live, it is usually Everett.

  • @Hummers222 That is a long drive.

  • @Seattlecarnut yeah, i dont have my licence yet either. im only 17. im taking my driving test soon, though :)

  • I LOVE CHEVY TRUCKS! Best on the road, Ford cain't claim to have teh best selling, GM does with the silverado/seirra. Cool

  • NICE video man! looks just like the real commerical on tv! i love the part at the end too, very nice! very nice!

  • this is sad, the chevy truck is now government motor. haven't heard this song since they advertise the 2000 silverado crewcab

  • @sideslide23

Actually, they still kept the song until 2003 or 04'.

  • my 1984 chevy c10 it has a holly for barrel 350

  • Say what you want about how "great" jap crap is, but how many toyotas, hondas etc from this era still not only on the road, but are daily drivers and still working. Love these old box bodies, I have two of this generation Suburbans

  • they are the best trucks. i got a 89' chevrolet cheyenne with a 305 and it has 318k's (kilometers) and its still running without a problem. :) man chevy noes wat theyr doing.

  • yes the 305, like i have in my Caprice 84, only problem now is the rochester quadrajet carbs there are great when new but when they wear out there is no real way of bringing them back to oem, I was quoted $450 to rebuild mine and the numerous mechanics said it still may not solve the problem, so i ripped the smog stuff of and slaped a edelbrock thunder for $300 that was 20K miles later now my sweetie has over 260K no oil leaks and still runs strong, Thanks GM for a strong ass 305

  • @Energi2DmaxX ya man 305's r sweet. my truck was injected but sadly i had to get rid of it. so i gave it to my dad and he says its still worken great. now i rive a 98' sunfire bad choice but ill tell u i miss my truck

  • the company i work for had an '84 silverado plow truck they still used up until last year. still ran great even then :-)

  • chevy r the best trucks...im 14 n i just bought a 79 4x4 k-10 with a 400 small block with about 20,000 miles on it...rebuilt about 2 years ago....set me back 2 grand..worked all summer for it and i t was way worth it :) im saving up now to take off the crappy magnaflow and put on flowmasters

  • u should have dumped that 400 and at least got a 454 i mean ford 400 puts out more hp and thats not even that great of a motor

  • Just like the commercial. LOL! I LOVE Chevy trucks, actually all chevys, too bad this one was sent to the "shit for good cars" program

  • Yeah, I did discover yesterday that they havent blown it up yet, I went up there, and they werent around, and I started it up.

  • To bad you can't get it back

  • @bigguy6100 you A hole the thought of killing such a sweet thing!!!

  • @johnson200gw dont blame it on me it wasnt my idea

  • I love chevrolets, bushings that wear out quickly, lots of oil leaks, crappy fuel pumps... if it wasn't for chevrolet I would be a poor mechanic.

  • thats what make a chevy a chevy

  • you took the words out of my mouth

  • Chevy trucks are the best! I've got two, a 1989 silverado 4x4, with 190k miles on the original TBI 350, and its a manual trans, still runs as strong as the day it rolled off the assembly line! the other is a 1972 Custom 10 2wd work truck, it got t-boned by a ford fairlane station wagon way back in '87 when my dad owned it, he rebuilt the rear suspension and swaped in another rear axle, and kept on driving it. it still runs like a champ to this day! Chevy trucks are the absolute best!!!

  • we have a 1994 chevy camper it has well last time I checked it had 68,000 miles on it chevy like a rock

  • Hell yeah. I've got a '96 extended cab silverado Z71, 4wd, 350 vortec. I just got back from Atlantic City and I averaged 19.5 miles per gallon. Last week I used a yank strap and pulled a few small trees out- had the tires spinning in 4-low and with some finesse it did the job. There was a brand new Dodge "big horn" edition that gave it a try on some other plants and he ripped his hitch right off his frame, the frame literally was torn. Don't make 'em like the used to...

  • That was so damn funny. Love the smoke after the truck climbed up out of that wooded area. The big dent in the driver's door and the missing trim pieces give it character too. Bunch of Red Necks. LMDAO!!!

  • i want one of those but they are expensive cause there so dam good lol

  • sure

  • nice job! I got the same style truck, a GMC though, just a re badged Chevy. What size tires you running on that?

  • Just stock 235 75 R 15s

  • nice vid i want to see that at the superbowl

  • dam that was good

that should be on national TV
