  • or they closed it off for their own safety from radicals that were giving the death threats and vandalizing some of their homes and property

  • Stupid Hippies! !

  • You should have been tazed... following orders whether or not they are "police officers" would be in the best intrest of you and of those officers who are simply protecting their "boss" and doing their jobs. If you call drawing a bunch of police and other law enforcment out side just to deal with you no trouble, you may want to reconsider everything you do

  • Im all for protesting... but do it in an honorable fashion and dont cause "trouble"

  • I'm all for her doing what she is,I slept in the Capitol building and protested for 5 months there, but I can't say enough how well our police force handles things. They should make us proud. Not be chastised for doing their job. Both sides deserve a metal.

  • Sweet pea, if you had been videotaping outside Barack Obama's secured entrance your video would not have lasted 30 seconds.

  • What is your problem?

  • Rebel...love it...but you know folks are not acceptable to disorder...go through the front door?? Not...right

  • This is a Republican Country would look like! WoW Talking about communism, they are hyprocrites.

  • Same players, now in September. Isn't that Walker's car?

  • These guys could be privately hired guards. Like Wackenhut.

  • These are State Police.

  • Telling her, HER! that she has no right to be their or even park their?!! Woman, why didn't you tell the dumb jackass if it wasn't for your tax dollars, that parking place wouldn't exist, and no such place that Tax Payers paid for is Private. Oh, and BTW, An officer MUST show proof when asked by any citizen by law. Man, that guy is a prick! Wish I was their with you that day! :)

  • because Walker harps about public employees earnings but supports corperate spending on elections and tax breaks for the rich.. hes a corperate whore that needs to be recalled..

  • @scorand Walker can't be recalled until January 2012. Many of the GOP senators can be recalled this year. There is an major effort to do so.

  • @delbard1 i would love to see these gop jackasses get the boot.. and yes sadly we have to wait a year for walker.. but it still can be done. and there is a major effort to do this in 2012

  • @scorand I think you can strart the recall petions in December of this year. I learned that there is enough signitures to recall 1 GOP State Senator right now.

  • @delbard1 thats a good start.. do you know who that one is.. or is that up in the air

  • @scorand Check with Ed Shultz, Maddof, you enk shows on MSNBC.

  • dudette why the hate...and whats your point....your lucky it was in madison...other cities would have you locked up in a heart beat.

  • dudette the vietnam war is over....get your degree and grow up

  • Police officers are required to show you their badge as proof they are real police officers if you request it of them and they are trying to use their authority to give you an order. Only after the police officer does this are you required by law to obey their orders. This is a measure to stop people from impersonating a police officer by just putting on a convincing costume uniform.

  • @dunbar9finger yeah they looked like Gangster Disciples to me.

  • these private security groups only have any athourity because the police dont want to protect a republican dicktator

  • So, who are these people?

The Capitol is the house of the people.

  • My husband works in the City County building. Twice during that period when he was a lunch break he described that he saw "hundreds of uniformed state police officers, and tons of men in suits all leaving the Justice Building and heading to the Cap. This was a little before noon, so maybe they are the "reinforcements for lunch." He said he had to wait through three stoplights because there were so many of them it was impossible to cross the street. Multiple days.

  • People who don't identify themselves are private security. these guys were probably given the pins but have nothing to do with said state troopers.

  • This is Capitalism trumping democracy. I can't believe how people can still defend Walker! What's up with that? You tea-baggers out there--you say you're against tyranny. You say you're against communism. This is nuts! You have nothing like this on Obama. You have nothing like this on anybody other than Republican ass-hats like Governor Walker.

  • These men-in-black call themselves police officers..with no identification? Impersonating police officers is a CRIME! They have little red pins that say they are Wisconsin Sate Patrol. Hmmm. WTF!!!!!!!!!

  • @catzbarking They were likely private security temporarily deputized for the day by a state patrol officer who was not there on the scene at the time. That's why they had no credentials to show their status as police but they insisted they were police.

  • @dunbar9finger (continuing my point) And even if they were temporarily deputized, a citizen is not required to obey the orders of a police officer who refuses to provide iD proving they are real police. That ID rule is necessary so that you can't just pretend to be a cop to get other people to do what you tell them.

  • they need to be charged either way:

if they are police officers, they engaging in misconduct by not identifying themselves with badges.

if they are not police officers, they are committing a crime by impersonating them.

  • They should all be charged with impersonating a officer on duty. They clearly are acting as private security. Walker thinks he runs the world. And with his friends, he probably has the power to keep on doing this and other horrible things. What does Obama have to say about this? " Elections have consequences.." what a two faced asshole. He pre election said " if anybody tries to eliminate workers rights to collective bargaining , I'll put on boots and carry a sign in protest with them". Or s

  • Shameful but what can we expect from King Walker? His own jackbooted thugs! Why are State Patrol being abused in this manner?

  • Creepy. This is positively Orwellian. It perfectly compliments the more visible shenanigans at the above ground doors to the Capitol.

  • These people are taught to lie.

  • Comment removed

  • The White House is the people's building as well, but try going into any entrance other than the one used for public tours and see how far you get. You'll have some 'splainin to do to the Secret Service.

  • @cmrsvids I'll say it again - the administration was violating a restraining order and their own stated rules by not allowing the public into the Capitol. I went down there to investigate the rumor that members of the public, who would normally have to come one of the capitols 8 public entrances, were being allowed in. I was not able to identify the woman who was allowed in in this video, but she clearly did not have to use a magnetized key card for access to the locked door.

  • @Graddyooate - Say it as many times as you wish. That's fine. I mean no disrespect here, but why are you choosing this as a battle when there are more important matters at hand? Pick your battles wisely. This just makes you look like a heckler. Why not use the front door and fight the real fight?

  • @cmrsvids Well, I felt that there were plenty of people at the front door on that day, and I felt that this rumor needed investigating. And I don't mind looking like a pest if it contributes to transparency in government, which I feel strongly about.

I prefer to use the 'front door' literally and figuratively. I'm focusing my efforts on recalling the State Senators who voted to strip public employees of collective bargaining rights - who obviously do not listen to their constituents.

  • @Graddyooate : And ... are you then also concerned regarding the transparency, or lack thereof, of President Obama's administration? A promise he hasn't quite accomplished? The transparency, or lack thereof, of President Bush's administration? Of The Doyle Administration? If so, on all counts, I tip my hat.

You mean the constituents that you agree with, right? The state is divided over this very polarizing issue. Are you also leading the recall of the 14 who did not listen to theirs?

  • @cmrsvids Yes, on all counts. In answer to your second question: To my knowledge, none of the Republicans, including Scott Walker, campaigned on a union-busting platform. Therefore they cannot claim a mandate to bust unions. They're clearly working to retain political power for their party, and not to balance the budget or increase jobs, which are the two issues on which people voted for them.

  • @Graddyooate : Thank you for participating in civil discourse, and clear thinking political debate. On whatever issues we may disagree, I will fight for your right to speak out, assemble, and continue to participate in what you believe in. In that promise, people of opposing views may find common ground, which is how things get done.

Pick your battles proudly, but as I stated, pick them wisely. The unions run the risk of shooting themselves in the foot on this one. Best Wishes.

  • @cmrsvids ...and no. I was not there to cause trouble. I was there to get information.

  • @cmrsvids Hmm... is the people's house except for the fact that Walker and his ilk LOCKED us out.

  • @cmrsvids I believe the front door was locked to the people's house.

  • @cmrsvids

She challenged what was before her instead of just being fed what she was told. Have you ever considered doing that yourself? If you don't know already, this is why so many people of Wisconsin are taking Scott Walker on!

  • @SenoritaDarth : You are funny. ... in a pot calling the kettle black sort of way. I have no problem whatsoever with protesting the Governor or being part of the democratic sausage making process. I have spent a good deal of time studying BOTH sides of the issue. Somehow, I have an inkling that you have been the one eating what you have been fed, but one side only. I ate at the buffet ... and had a far more well rounded meal, apparently. Bon appetite.

  • @cmrsvids

Instead of just being passive and eating what she was told, she challenged what was before her. Have you ever considered doing that yourself? In case you may need more examples, you can find that courage and ambition in the protests against Scott Walker.

  • @cmrsvids The front door was locked.

  • @cmrsvids "The front door" s were locked and guarded by armed men even though the a judge ordered that people be allowed in. They would have used the front door if they could have but Walker defied court orders. Walker was sneaking tea baggers in through tunnels so they could stuff the gallery with them so on TV it would look like everyone didn't hate him. So please don't comment on things you have no clue about.

  • @TheMasterTate: Would someone kindly explain to me, if the building was filled with protesters, how they were getting in ... if there was no access to the so-called "front door"? Earth to Tate: it was a metaphor. Assuming you have read my comments in this string, defending her, and thus YOUR right to free speech, I am stunned that you feel it necessary to ask me not to comment, as if I am clueless. Your attitude is part of the problem, not part of the solution, sadly.

  • @cmrsvids they are palace gaurds.. and they are trying to protect a dicktator

  • @scorand why the hate

  • If the man was State Patrol, as his lapel pin may have indicated, it is beyond unprofessional that he would not identify himself by his name and which actual law enforcement agency he was with. He was polite enough under the circumstances, but if he really is a trooper, he might have a few second thoughts as he shaves himself tomorrow, at what a tool of a repressive regime he has been sucked into becoming. I'll bet he didn't get into law enforcement for this! This is a black eye for WStPtrl.

  • Plain clothes WI State troopers who won't identify themselves? WTF? The funny part is that they're still being kind of creepily polite.

  • You would think the fact that these Republicans have to scurry around and crawl through tunnels like vermin, can't show their faces in public, and are being denied service at restaurants would give them a clue that they are not doing the will of the people.

Especially when you consider the fact that the 14 democratic (notice the small d) receive a heroes welcome and can't pay for a meal or a drink because everyone wants to take their tab out of appreciation.

    This isn't over.

  • That dude handled himself pretty professionally for someone carrying out an illegal task for the governor. At least he wasn't a total asshole, and didn't refuse to talk whatsoever...that said, this is pretty disgusting.

  • @suspirio Yeah I agree. For a person committing a crime on video they were pretty chill. I have video where an armed man tried to stop me from filming him and tried to grab my camera.

  • That dude handled himself pretty professionally for someone carrying out an illegal task for the governor. At least he wasn't a total asshole, and didn't refuse to talk whatsoever...

  • So the liberal, loons are offended that the Governor and the legislature is protected by security? Given the mob behavior of the protesters this was perfectly acceptable behavior on the part of the security officers.

  • @dgolombowski I'm not offended that the governor had security. I'm offended that the men in this video claimed to be cops but didn't show any proof of their identity. I'm incensed that the governor and the republicans violated the State Constitution. I'm furious that despite its own stated rules, the Department of Administration, under the Governor's orders, would not let the public into the Capitol.

  • @dgolombowski There were less than 20 arrests in the course of 4 weeks with over 600,000 people passing through the capitol. The only violence perpetrated was when the police attacked a Wisconsin law maker who was trying to get into his office.

There is really no way a reasonable person can defend the behavior of the GOP and the police here. Independents and rational republicans (they are out there) have been appalled by their behavior.

These people WILL be held accountable for their actions.

  • @KRUSE88 I think you are right actually - even if their emblem was still an eagle - it doesn't match the one they were using perfectly anyway - since I was just going on a description - I still think these are some sort of security - it could have been G4S I guess - I still think these guys were not police - otherwise they would have shown ID

  • @lostvirtue There are several different Wackenhut logos. There is one that looks almost exactly like her description. If you go to google and search Wackenhut under images you will see a picture of some jerk ass with a brown trooper style hat. On his hat is an eagle with its wings spread clutching a gold bar.

I have filed a lawsuit but its unfortunate none of the people responsible will be held accountable. The tax payers of Wisconsin are going to be the ones punished.

  • If these men are part of a private security firm that is being paid by tax payer's dollars rather than out of Walker's personal pocket it is very possible that they are breaking union contracts. I don't know the specifics of the capitol police's contracts but usually there are assurances that non-union employees will not be brought in to perform tasks that union workers are available to do. Somebody should file a grievance.

  • Typical statist/government behavior as follows: -Unaccountable to anyone -"Public servants" -Don't identify -Don't answer questions -Give orders and commands without any grounds -Make threats -Make up laws -Look mean -No independent thought or action. Act as though you have no control over the situation and have to contact someone with a fancier title, more pieces of metal pinned to their chest, or with super sekret sekurity clearance to do anything. -Run you in ridiculous verbal circles -Repeat
  • That is not a Wisconsin State Trooper lapel pin! It is Wackenhut A-1 Contract Staffing

  • Dude is too fat to even be a cop.

  • That is not a Wisconsin State Trooper lapel pin!

  • fuck these guys....

  • Scary

  • This video has now been seen by Peg Lautenschlager, who is pursuing the lawsuit about Capitol Access.

  • Sweetie!?! What an ass. Police officers don't identify themselves like this.

  • @badgergoesgrrr I think you misunderstood - he said "sweeeet" in response to my saying that he wasn't wearing a badge, just a "scary eagle pin". I think he liked that I thought it was scary.

Yep, that guy was an ass.

  • @Graddyooate Right! Nice clip, thou. Noo, wait-, K' Sweetie @ 1:47 ? Anyway, I'm not a legal eagle but is it *obstructing justice* to fib about being a police officer? Any law enforcement officer would show a badge to verify when asked. Private hired security, maybe. Ugh. NIcely done.

  • @badgergoesgrrr ...I don't know. I think he was saying something like "K speaking" because he said it again when he turned away. I'll let you know if I ever find out his name - other people are working on that.

  • @badgergoesgrrr No one asked to see the police ID. Too Bad. Also, Never, ever Lie (fib) to a police officer! simply don't answer the question. EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW THIS. You NEVER have to answer their questions. (you do have to show id in certain circumstances.)

  • So, what happened after the video ends? Did you leave?

  • @sierranolan See parts 5-9. We stayed down there for another hour or so after this conversation. Eventually, Walker's wife pulled up and was ushered through the door, and then it was time for his budget address to start. So we went back above-ground to the crowd of protestors, and made as much noise as we could hoping to be heard in the assembly chamber while he gave his address.

  • Isn't a Crime impersonating a law enforcement officer in Wisconsin. Me thinks this is Wackenhut security and not law enforcement

  • These guys are off-duty Wisc State Patrol officers? or field-deputized private security now contracted to the State Patrol? Unclear. The eyeglasses on "Big Dave" suggest he's a rookie in the Log Cabin GOP Patrol.

Stephen Fitzgerald, the father of Wisconsin’s two most powerful state lawmakers, was just picked to lead the Wisconsin State Patrol in February. These dudes are threatening citizens in parking garages, obviously aware that they have no authority to do so.

  • This is how we fight in the New World Order! Code Slicers, Journalists, Gooders Unite!

  • Walkers Rat hole.

  • OK I see now. Yes he arrives @ :30 then again at 6:46. Sorry about my confusion.

  • The Brown Shirts Are Here! Only They're Dressed in Black. Next, Goose Stepping!

  • Of all the video to come out of the Capitol in recent weeks, this is, IMHO, the most troubling. I presume, as taxpayers, we're paying for this kind of jackboot thuggery?

  • This is, IMHO, the most troubling video to come out of the Capitol in recent weeks.

  • OK, what I would like to see in the next installment is the vehicles and license plates. Who belongs to the vehicles? Who is paying for them? Who is this? I definitely believe it is partially State Patrol,. but if it is law enforcement, they MUST identify themselves.

  • WI taxpayer dollars paying for King Walker's security? hiring goons to protect the little tyrant? read up on the Pinkerton goons and thats Wackenhut. XE, any one of these thugs. Wisconsin, kick Walker OUT asap. throw the little tinpot OUT.

  • @mrsbrown333 private security guards were used to brake-up strikes from the Homestead (Pa) strike of 1892

  • Wackenhut...felons who helped him in Milwaukee when he fired security guards that eventually won a lawsuit against him and received back pay..Wackenhut, the sucking vodka out of someone's ass partiers...Wackenhut, the new Gestapo have come to Wisconsin...

  • Well the fact of the matter is that every facet of Wisconsin government has been taken over so there is no one to send this to who would actually do anything as far as enforcing the law or punishing anyone involved.

Really the only hope would be to take it to civil court where you have a chance of getting a judge who is not owned by the string pullers, whoever they are.

Then if you could get it in front of a jury? Forget about it.

Hit them where it hurts, the wallet.

    I am planning the same.

  • @kenb427 shit feel free to come on up for sure! We need more of people like you here in Madison

  • Thank you for having the courage to stay there, and in a civil manner continue to question who these men in suits were. I hope you are able to get the ACLU, DOJ or someone to take this seriously. I wonder who you could contact, either in the press or another local org, such as TAA, WEAC, other union orgs, to get this video and the concerns it raises more media attention.

  • @AnnieK827 Walker has a history of using Wackenhut security and he lost a court battle because he replaced union officers in a Milwaukee public building with Wackenhut. So it's not far fetched.

  • @AnnieK827 - Actually, it's not obvious that those men have any kind of LEGITIMATE authority. Which is why this is a big deal.

  • @AnnieK827

there is no need to "look" for reasons, Walker creates plenty that are well know know to most people.

  • @graddyooate

I read a blog dane101.com. The author stated that he spoke with an Officer Howard Payne of the Madison PD. Payne may be sympathetic and Madison PD is known to be a liberal agency, in law enforcement circles. If no luck with him, I would just start emailing your video to the top dogs at the DOJ, the Sheriff's department and Madison PD. I think you have a legitimate case, at least to be looked into. They should have identified themselves. Good luck.

  • I don't get what the big deal is??? There were threats on his life and they sent security in to protect him. Sounds pretty standard to me.

  • @Bboop4444plus

The threats were ginned up, just like the budget emergency.

  • Has anyone pursued police follow-up? I am a police Sergeant and will push to have this investigated, if someone can provide more detail. I don't have jurisdiction in Madison but can voice my outrage. This would only be a misdemeanor because he wasn't committing another crime. I can only enforce felonies outside of my jurisdiction. My other thought is if the second male is a trooper, he could deputize the first male. It would be good to know more.

  • @biocop Can you tell me who would be the best person to send this to is? I have plenty of details; message me and let me know what you would need to know.

  • It kinda looks like the S.S!!!

  • 323.17 State traffic patrol officers and conservation wardens. If the governor calls out the... call shall have the powers of a law enforcement officer for the duration determined by the governor, except that the officers and wardens may not be used in or take part in any dispute or controversy between an employer and employee concerning wages, hours, labor, or working conditions

    THEY ARE THEIR ILLEGALLY!!!

  • I'm disturbed that nothing happened to these people.

  • Nicely done!!

  • I'd say these are off duty cops hired as security. Next time ask them if they are ON DUTY POLICE OFFICERS

  • @savagemyth Shoulda coulda woulda. Next time I will do just that. Thanks.

  • Overpaid, wasteful rented Wachenhut goons!

  • My guess is Wackenhut. I just saw an eagle emblem for them on Google images.

  • Arrest those people for impersonating police officers.

  • walker's new palace guard are cross dressers and vodka felchers and convicted felons. He tried to replace the Milwaukee county police with them and ended up costing the state wildly.

  • The last part, about "considering anyone a threat", scares me the most. That's the start of a police state. That's what your Patriot Act has done for you America. Innocent until proven guilty has become guilty until proven innocent.

  • I'm not sure how it happened but he comes back through the door at 9:51

I thought I had some footage of him there but must have had a camera misfunction (read I screwed up)when I tried it. I do have some other videos that I just uploaded. I think some of these other guys are in there

  • @PolyTGirl 9:51 is the very end of the video. Are you sure? At the bottom left of the screen it shows the time as #:## / 9:51. It's that first number I'm wondering about.

  • okay, its time for the fed g-men to go to Wisconsin to observe, this Scott Walker character is a loose cannon

  • This tape needs to be referred to the Attorney Generals office. If that guy was a security guard impersonating a police officer that is a felony.

  • @chinacat22 The irony is that the AG's office is directly 10 floors above where this video took place.

  • @chinacat22 Well you would have to find a national agency to persue it because the courts in Wisconsin are being ignored by the republicans.

  • Thank you so much for posting this! You are very brave and determined! Keep fighting the fight sister!

  • Impersonating a police officer? Do the crime do the time!

  • thank you so much for your bravery and determination. Awesome

  • you are very brave, and you have all my support.

  • You are so brave. Thank you for being there and having the guts to do this. I would have been so scared but you just kept at them. You are a HERO TOO!

  • More secret police in America. Wake up.

  • Great video. Thank you for your courage and asking the tough questions and hanging in there. You have done your people proud!

  • I wouldn't be surprised if they ARE Wackenhut... If viewers don't know what that is, this article might be a bit informative:

    from West Orlando News Online:

"If the name Wackenhut sounds familiar, it’s because it is the parent company of the ArmorGroup, the firm hired by the Bush Administration to guard the American Embassy compound in Kabul, Afghanistan with horrible and embarrassing results."

  • Forgot to add that this is creepy and these guys look like something out of X Files.

  • Amazing .

  • Thanks so much for taking and posting this. Freakin'

  • Good video and thank you for standing up to the jerk.

  • Thank you for this video. I was in the capitol at the time it was "locked down" so to speak and it was very confusing as I also saw people come up from those tunnels, then get escorted by police upstairs and then suddenly they would mix and mingle with us downstairs under the pretext of spreading misinformation, I believe. I've spent most of my time outside the capitol occupation trying to understand what happened outside the capitol. Thank you for providing this!

  • The one that pushed past you & later went in but came out & hovered by the door

  • @PolyTGirl Wait, which one now? The guy with the mustache at 0:30? Can you give a time in the video and where he is at that point? This is really interesting.

  • One of the men was on the security detail when Scott Walker had his "Tailgate" party at East Side Club during the Rosebowl.

  • One of the men was on the security detail when Scott Walker had his "Tailgate" party at East Side Club during the Rosebowl.

  • Not sure you can work as state law enforcement, AND as a private security operator. Sounds like the merger of corporate and state, or fascism as it's more widely known. Those guys are small fry.

  • Great job shooting and posting this video. I too have been very curious about these tunnels and who has the privilege of using them. Seems like a no-brainer that if Walker would simply honor our right to accessing the Capitol he and his special guests could sneak around these underground tunnels like criminals undisturbed. I'm super glad to see this video and will spread the word. This video is a perfect example of our new mantra: "Where he goes, we go." SOLIDARITY!

  • I thought that if you ask for ID or a badge number, they have to show it and if they aren't legit, can't they be prosecuted for impersonating an office of the law? I hope your video makes it to the ACLU or law enforcement. Good job BTW. If you aren't a journalist, you probably should consider becoming one.

  • Another great thing about this video is that it puts more pressure on Walker. As we have seen in recent weeks, the more pressure Walker experiences, the more he does dumb things. This is the nature of the criminal mind. "Republicans" in general are experiencing tremendous pressure, and their response is to be aggressive, to show that they are strong and powerful.

And stupid, though that is not their intention. They don't care about the law because they are criminals, their Achilles heel.

  • Nice job. I don't mind if the governor has a restricted parking area, but a private security detail for the governor is a matter of great concern. For one thing, they are paid for by us, the taxpayers. Another factor is that, given the involvement of police in the protests, and Walker's proclivity for privatization (Can I have an amen for proclivity for privatization?) this suggests that there might be a move for privatization of police statewide.

  • Comment removed

  • @lostvirtue I am looking for the Wackenhut logo... The pin he was wearing was a red circle, with a black horizontal bar through the middle, and a golden eagle in front of all that. I haven't found a match, yet, have you?

  • @lostvirtue Actually, as a person who knows much of Wackenhut, I can tell you these guys are not Wackenhut, because they aren't called Wackenhut anymore. As of Jan 1 the company changed to G4S, no longer using the eagle emblem... which they actually stopped using for the most part back in 09 when Wackenhut and G4S combined. And non-uniformed staff are always told to identify themselves as such (especially if they are armed/on duty). Not to mention non-uniformed are rarely used for access control

  • I don't have video of it, but I want to share that when we did decide to leave (after the Governor's wife was ushered through the tunnel door) the officers requested I play my trumpet for them. So I played a rendition of "Saints go marching in" and we all stamped our feet and left on a good note.

  • @BellabelWOWpriest - THanks!

  • @kopenski - Yeah, I think that he was doing his best given the situation, and I respect that tremendously. I assume they were ordered not to identify themselves, and that they were following protocol of some sort. He was in marked contrast to the first guy in the video, who was very dismissive of us.

  • @Graddyooate I can't imagine what benefit they would would have by not identifying themselves. Personally I think they were off duty state patrol, that Scotty Potty has hired as private security.

  • This is a little shady, no doubt. It seems, however, that the gentleman you spoke to towards the end of the video is just trying to doing his job and possibly trying to help.

  • @kopenski - Yeah, I think that he was doing his best given the situation, and I respect that tremendously. I assume they were ordered not to identify themselves, and that they were following protocol of some sort. He was in marked contrast to the first guy in the video, who was very dismissive of us.

  • @Graddyooate "Just following orders" wasn't a defense accepted when the Nazi's did it either, you have to abide by state law. I'm not saying these guys are Nazis at all but this is bad precedent they are setting.

  • Are these guys actually contractors from Wackenhut Corporation? That's who Walker hired in Milwaukee after he illegally fired the County Courthouse guards.

  • @gregbjames

    Yes

  • HEY! Great job! I was wondering about these tunnels and I really think we should lead an angry mob through them!

But I'm interested in what they would say if you allowed yourself to be searched. They wouldn't be able to consider you a threat then and what could they do? I do believe the police are on our side in this one, since this bill affects them as well. But unfortunately they're paid to be Goons. So they'll let us slide with a little cooperation, but they won't just stand aside.

  • @Kkonetzke - Angry mob - no. NOT cool. They didn't ask to search me. But the officer's point was valid - they were obviously posted at that spot to protect specific people coming into of the building - the guy I'll refer to as sideways guy was talking on the phone to someone, saying "yeah, they're here, but we'll bring her in, it's fine", even though it was made very clear by the DOA that the King St. entrance was the only entrance to be used.

  • @Graddyooate I was just upset. The protests there were so peaceful, it was amazing. But It also allowed walker to shrug us off. He saw us and did what he wanted anyway. We promise to recall him, and he's not concerned. He's going to do what he wants anyway, he's getting his name in papers and his money, he won. I'm not for violence or the use of force, but what do you do when peaceful protest isn't listened to? Civil Disobedience. I hope Walker has his day, and we do recall him.
