He visto varios videos de la Serenata de Shubert y es el primero que veo tan excelente, felicitaciones, ha logrado sacar la pieza con la escencia romántica de su originalidad, ponga más videos suyos...Saludos.
FYI: Schubert's Serenade aka ""Standchen" was originally written by Schubert as a song from his song cycle "Schwanengesang". So any Piano arrangement is a transcription by other composers. Most popular is by Liszt (difficult) & Heller (easier). The Heller transcription is I believed played here.
@menancyandsam Great comment. I am currently learning the Liszt piece and did not realise this was different till I read your comments. Is there a right way to cross over the hands in the second part?
I'm working on this song too. Man, I love this song, but the trills kill me. It doesn't help I have an electrical piano that's starting 2 sounds strange :) Anyway, you did a great job! I would be way too nervous to record myself playing.
the trills messed me up too. It helps if you think to yourself " i have to start the trill before i start playing the left hand". I dont know if that makes sense, but it helped me
Beautiful piece. I've been taking piano lessons for about six months and I'm working on this piece. It's really difficult though! The triplets offset the rhythm of the bass clef. But I'll get it eventually! haha :) Great job!
@sakuraraine I think it's good process. It's private lesson?. I'm planning to take private lesson as well. Piano class in community college is slow and boring.
This is the original Schubert version. The more common version played by pianists is the version that Liszt re-arranged. That plays the melody in the bass clef the second time and also has lots of ornamentation.
Cool. I'm playing this song as a duet with a friend playing flute (with me playing the lower part on piano, and him playing the melody). You play this very well.
The tempo is great. Dynamics are absent...even if you add WAY toom any sforzandos (that aren't there). It needs to be a bit more jentle, and less of a booming bass. Keep trying, though...you've got it!
im juz started to play piano ,hahahah, i know, but i still want the music sheet of this serenade. can you plz send it to hongphucvn_2005 at yahoo dot com

at :20-:23 you speed up. Why? The tempo was perfect before then, and then became too fast all of a sudden :-/

I do not play the piano . Just listen and feel. A still lake. A gentle breeze. Sadness. An emptiness inside.

@sakuraraine Did you keep with it? I started this piece after only 6 months of lessons, too. It took me 6 months to master it.

You're right, it depends on the version of serenade that you have..there are too many!

Thanks. This helped me hear the correct way to play the triplets which was tripping me up.

Thank you, it reminds me my father who used to like it very much. Now, he is dead and only this music brings me relief.

fix the mistakes. accompaniement way too loud, overpowers the melody. the melody sounds broken, has to be more legato.
