Obama...helped reform the state death penalty system and create tax breaks for the poor while developing a reputation as someone who would work with critics to build consensus.(source: CBS News).
Some things that Obama did not do:
Make light of a possible war with Iran.
Say we should be in Iraq for 100 more years.
Vote with Bush 90% of the time.
When you have those two choices, it's no contest, nut.

I agree with your last line. No contest. As a life time Democrat and a radical lefty - near socialist - I will almost certainly vote for McCain and be at peace with that choice, as there is no contest.
