this song...its tragically beautiful. Sorrowfully warm. It's so heartbreaking and chilling, and creepy, and blissful all wrapped in one unique song. While I do have difficulties writing with it, it still makes me feel at peace with everything almost. It brings me to life, and brings me to tears. Music....this music is truly food for the soul. Thomas did a great job in inspiring others. in a way reflekt freeloaded the theme,but made it a great dance tune, if not for them I wouid have not heard of Thomas's piece and taken notice of histalent. I wanted to get to the source of the tune..Great Music, you could say is was a simplictic masterpiece.

But, being who I am prefer the fast one, though you still feel it...Reflekt on it

Anybody that saw the film would agree that this is a piece of musical genious. Very touching when he has to kill his own mentor through childish stupidity of his son. Kinda eary like the soundtrack from Shawshank Redemption.

everyone will hate me for saying this but it was "reflekt ft delline bass - need to feel loved" that brought this sample to my attention... and oh my word. i have no idea why those few little strings in the middle effect me so much but they actually make me want to cry!!! so amazing. thomas newman is an absolute godsend. can anyone name some more of his pieces like this one? i've seen his name so many times in films but cant remember them

I've been a fan of Thomas Newman's work for a long time - I won't hate you though! Actually my attention was brought back to this piece cos I heard it in a remix (Joe T. Vannelli - Play With Vannelli feat. Csilla) and I remembered how great it was. I recommend the entire Road to Perdition score, American Beauty, The Green Mile, Pay it Forward, Meet Joe Black, Shawshank. Some better than others, but all quality. Try Mark Isham's Crash score too. All emotive stuff. Let me know what u think.

watch halo 3 teaser trailer. marty o'donnell uses the same 4 chord string progression, but changes the last chord from E to G, i believe. all the best composers imitate each other, there's nothing wrong with it. a moving melody is a moving melody, and deserves to be heard ...
