@GuaranteedSanctuary - those 2 chords are Cm 6/9, and G7#5. The roots are not played, I only played the top 4 strings. Starting on the 4th string and going up to the 1st string, the notes of the chords are: (Cm 6/9): Eb, A, D, G. (G7#5): F, B, D#, G.
@grahambop ALOHA GRAHAM, IN MY YOUTH I USED TO USE (2) PRE-CBS TWINS, WITH HUGE ALTEC LANSING'S & ELECTRA-VOICE - GINORMOUS SPEAKERS, MAGNETS & TRANSFORMERS. MY BOOGIE MARK II IS COMPACT, BUT I ALWAYS HURT MY BACK WHEN I HEFT IT INTO MY CAR....... GOOD TO FIND YOU. THANKS AGAIN, BEAR
very clean & well played! i was thinking the 30 for my peerless monarch, but the word seems to be the 80 is the one. it;s not much larger than the 30, any issues with lugging it around? mahalo, bear
This was recorded using the line output from the Roland Cube. I use the clean channel, all tone controls (bass, middle, treble, presence) set to 12 o'clock (i.e. exactly halfway), and some 'plate' reverb.
The Gibson is on the neck pickup with the tone control just under 2.
@grahambop been using .012 rounds on my Heritage H575 not unlike what you have there but closer to an L4. Been very happy with the tone I am getting. After hearing his video, it really, really pushed me to get one of these amps. It is due to arrive tomorrow.
Hey Kenny, That was totally awesome! Loved it really great stuff...... Subscribed right off. I just got a Gibson ES175 love the guitar.........What gauge strings are you using ,also ,round or flats.........KEEPON STRUMMIN..............DALLAS PS If you have time check out my improv. on MY PRAYER.......later

What are the two chords you played about 20:00 in? I can't work them out.

I have a Roland Cube 80x... How do you have your EQ? Do you have "presence" on?

Hi Bearguitarjazz - thanks for the comments. The cube 80 is quite heavy but manageable. Nothing like as heavy as the Fender Twin I used to have!

hey bro, this is great stuff. I love your sound. Do you go direct, mic, or both? Excellent tone.

@chappahx by the way, I saw that you use the Cube 80X. Do you mind sharing your settings. This tone is great.

Thanks! I use .012 roundwound, just a standard D'Addario set. Never tried flatwounds.
