Akai Tsuki meens Red Moon. It some kind of shrine prayer of Prinnies. I felt tears ONLY at the moment Laharl's mother was gone ( anime )

She was a really nice and kind person in both game and anime. However I don't think that's really sad :)

I know what you're talking about: it does have a certain sadness to it, even though the lyrics are more hopeful - this is the night when Prinnies who've atoned can be reborn.

I think the sadness comes from the Prinnies not knowing for sure which of them will get to be reincarnated and which will have to go back to their unrewarding work.
