Can the technique of putting root hormone on the roots of the boxwood be used on a japanese maple to increase it's root structure? Are there any precautions to take and what time of year should this be done?
@bormsbee1 I have never tried it with maples but I dont see where it would be a problem. Most people will use an airlayer or ground layer when trying to improve the root base of maples.
@xwarmouthx - that is great! I guess they were labeled Charleston Kingsville and not just Kingsville?? If the nursery is reasonably local to me and you are willing to share I would love to know more about it. Thanks for commenting.
I am sorry to say that between my buddy and I we bought all they had. I asked about more but the owner was not there at the time. I will stop back in sometime and check again. If there is more I will let you know.

I just bought a few of these from my local nursery. They had at least 20 more 5 gallons that were said to be about 15 years old. Great video. Thanks.

I would love to get a few of those from the same place you did. I hope California does not have any restrictions on importing them.
