Hi . I had Hodgkins lymphoma a year ago and now I'm cancer free . My hairs had a year to grow back and it has but.......... Now I have a mass of curls on my head . It's literally an afro . Before the cancer and chemo it was straight . No matter what I do to it , it reverts back to curls of DOOM !!! I know everyones hairs different but do you have any advice or will it just take time for my hair calm down??
@Eveholly11 First of all CANCER SURVIVOR = AWESOME. Glad to hear you're cancer free! Heh, if you look back on some of my previous videos you'll see I also went through that stage. I totally get how you feel. It's impossible to do anything with it when it is like that except accept it or cut it or experiment relentlessly. I kinda just accepted it with the "any hair is good hair" philosophy. HOWEVER, patience will pay off and it will eventually straighten out again once it grows longer, I promise.
@littlebabygilr08 thanks for the message! I seriously began to lose my hair after my second round of chemo and was completely bald until the end of treatment. About a month after my last round I began to notice some new growth. It was probably another month before I felt comfortable enough to go without a headscarf. from then on it was a cool but long process of growing it out again. It took a while but my hair is looking better than it ever has before. Good luck! Please let know how it goes.
