  • Well I have always wanted to go Utah in the winter.

  • colorado sucks they only get like 300 inches and utah gets 500. and its easier to get to utah

  • they're both the same. the only difference is the they are on different sides of the rocky mountains.

  • Well Im visiting both next winter HA!

  • you know never mind we can all agree that both ski resorts great but it is final. All other states have crappy ski resorts.

  • I like Utah's ski resorts better don't get me wrong I love colorado's too

  • Ok Colorado is way better it has the highest skiable terrain from a resort in north America vail is the biggest ski resort in the US. It takes nearly a week to ski all the trails unlike 2 days to ski snowbird. Have u ever ben to Denver? It's on a plain so it does take a while to get to the good mountains. I go to ski school in Vermont and love both areas but Colorado is better

  • @wvskidude15 Look man Ive been to Aspen and Vail and they are great but Pow Mow in Utah has the most ski able acres in the US with 7000, granted you need a guide for 1500 of those but other that its the biggest and PC and Canyons are worldclass for everyone Canyons has 23 lift systems and nearly 200 runs, PC is home to an amazing Superpipe, and some of the greatest US Winter athletes live and train in Utah, so case closed Utah is better but The Utah-Col area is the best in the US

  • @wiz4rdf1sh0123 at pow mow u can only access 2500 acres by lift, at vail u can access over 5000 thats what i meant. vail has 34 lifts so 23 isnt that much, steamboat in clolrado has the WORLDS longest superpipe and colorado is home to some serious olympic athletes. And where are the xgames held at?? buttermilk which is at colorado. colorado can up 1 about everything on utah. so keep dreaming

  • @wvskidude15 Pow mow claims to have the most ski able acres whether or not thats true is not up to me. Vail has no snow this year bro. Pow mow has 10" of fresh powder, and at least 40" under that, the PC super pipe is the training ground for the Olympics so try to one up that. and on a combined lift pass to Alta and Brighton you can top 34 lifts so not saying Col. has bad resorts just saying Utah has better

  • both are great end of story let it fuckin snow and lets go ski and board

  • Colorado Is Better I've skied both. However, Colorado is the best in the world. Utah is right behind Colorado.

  • this is a horrible representation of colorado you send some gayper to vail when there is 6 sick ass ski areas you pass before than and salt lake is sick but its crowded with crappy laws and mormoms colorado is sick you just got be from here to know ts tru value

  • shhhhh..no nothing to see here in Utah. Colorado is WAY better. stay there please.

  • I lived in Utah my whole life... SKI UTAH, BEST SNOW ON EARTH!!!!!!

  • I have lived in Utah all my life...ski Utah!!!!!

  • I have lived in Utah all my life and... go to Colorado!!!!

  • Utah I so much better

  • Obviously this video is over dramatized. You could make the videos favoring both and still wind up with the skier on Snowbird before the other skier would be on Vail.

If you really were skiing in to ski Vail you wouldn't fly into Denver. You would fly into Eagle County. Which is pretty much the EXACT same distance as SLC to Snowbird.

I am not going to state which one I favor. All I am looking to do is make sure the FACTS are straight.

  • @socialbenbrown EGE or Eagle County Airport is about an hour and half drive to Vail. SLC or Salt Lake City International is about 30-45 minute drive to Snowbird.

  • UTAH is the place. There was never any question. But feel free to vacation in Denver. I want the mountain to myself ;)

  • Ya love this video utah is the best with snowbird

  • dont worry most people that stay in utah say its to mormon but slc is the most liberal city in utah so the people are kinda chill youll like utah haters

  • THE SONG IS FROM SLC RAPPERS "CALICO AND BLOCKS" GOOGLE THEM CATS IF U DONT KNO WASSUP!

  • Utah and for all of you that think everyone in Utah is morman go fuck yourself

  • Utah has both quality and quantity

  • UTAH=DANKEST SNOW ON EARTH. Colorado is definitely close, but when it comes to quality, no snow compares to Utah.

  • This is the most gay video ever. They both have great snow but Utah has those weird mormons and you can't drink where you want.

  • That's how we do it!!!!! Snowbird all the way!!!!

  • Utah's Top 4 Resorts: Alta/Snowbird(540" annually) Solitude(500+") Brighton(500+") Park City(360+") ALL UNDER 1 HR FROM SLC Colorado's Top 4 Resorts Vail(350+") 2 hrs from DEN Aspen(300-") 4 hrs from DEN Telluride(309") 6 hrs 30 mins from DEN Beaver Creek(310"+) 2 hrs from DEN Utah resorts are much closer to the airport AND there is more annual powder.
  • @acover195 Its sad cause Jay peak gets more snow then colorado and they are in vermont

  • my town SLC

  • RADO!

    -A New Jerseyite

  • 29 ski resorts in colorado 14 in utah.... You decide! COLORADO 4 life!

  • @stropssports Quality not quantity.

  • I have skied in colrado and utah they have nice long lift lines and lots of people that can't ski! Obviously not the ski bums! Try jh for a real skiing experience! Not just one day over christmas break during our anual christmas freeze but during the week on a pow day then you will see there is no comparison! And the airport to ski hill is less than 30 min!

  • i've skiied both and im sorry utah lovers but COLORADO is way better!

  • @viviper006 heck yeah! plus we have good powder skiing but he never went to the outback there and vail isn't really known for powder skiing anyway

  • colorado

  • psh. theres about 4 or 5 resorts closer to denver than vail...

  • SL, UT

  • Who WOULDN'T wait 7 hours for some fine Vail groomers? Neck-deep pow is overrated and hides all that expensive, only-used-once-a-year gear that people could better appreciate standing in long lift lines or on the deck enjoying a $20 weiner. (huh huh - I said 'weiner') Now please delete this video before people get wise and start poaching the PHAT UTAH POW!!!!

  • Second song is a rip from "Welcome to Detroit City" by Trick Trick

  • that chick can rip!

  • I have tried to find the name of the tracks in this video. Basically, my buddy who edited found the music tracks locally, and can't find his edit files that have the track/artist names. Bummer, because a lot of people have asked the same question. Wish I could tell you.

  • The intro song when she's rolling to the Bird is from Calico and Blocks CD, local artists if thats the one your wanting. Not sure the name, had it on my other comp, they are online now, you can find it.

  • What's the name of the song that begins at :28?

  • don't forget about pow mow either.. I love Utah, but I vote CO as my favorite. Who cares if your first day gets cut short by 3-4 hours. It's nice to take a drive through the mountains anyway.

  • apples and oranges

    both places are world destinations

we have the bigger city with NFL, MLB, NHL, etc (traffic included)

Utah has better snow and little to no commute to mountains (took me 5 hrs to get back to Denver from Vail twice last year)

    Utah has Zion, Powell, Moab

we have Rocky Mtn. NP, Telluride, and way more altitude!

I would be happy to spend life in either!

  • Nobody is saying the Bird is 55,000 feet. But you can ski 55,000 feet vertical in a day. You missed the point.

  • haha snowbird is 55,000ft? no it definitely isnt. mt everest is only 29,035ft. in reality snowbird is only 11,000ft. still more than vail (only 8,500), but get your facts strait. hahaha

  • You're an idiot. The video meant that he/she got in 55,500 vertical feet of skiing in Snowbird, and only 15,000 vertical feet of skiing in at Vail during the same period of time.

    Apparently, Vail skiers are dumb?

  • hahaha. what they mean is they skied 55000 feet of vert in the day, while at vail they only skied 15000 because of the amount of time it took to get to vail in that day. not the vert of the mountain itself

  • Shhhhhh. Everyone on the east coast still thinks that Colorado is better. I will pay you to delete this video and never show it again. I'm just kidding. I have heared there is a billboard like thirty minutes out of Denver for Snowbird that say's if you would have flown into Salt Lake international you would already be at snowbird. I live in Layton. 20 minutes from Snowbasin and with in a hour from 10 resorts. I would never move unless it were up the canyon.

  • UTAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH from-STARBUCKSXDseriouse

  • SOLITUDE ALL THE WAY!!

  • @laurenhope94 AGREE!!!!

  • whats the salt lake city song called?

  • Ha! Whistler is where it's at? At least Utah and Colorado are not getting auctioned off to the highest bidder.

  • big fuckin deal the jews are fighting over the best overall mountain in north america

  • it's basically personal preference everybody can say what they want, but utah and colorado are pretty much the same skiing/ snowboarding expirience....althought whistler is where its at

  • Of course it's biased, why do you think I posted it?

  • this is bias

  • . . . utah, home of the crazy mormons

  • haha the crazy mormons are awesome

  • uath all the way :)

  • nahh fuck this vid

    colorado is the shit

gooo to STEAMBOAT SPRINGS AND YOU WILL SEE BITCHES

  • ive benn 2 years in a row, and im going next year, your totally right its the best

  • Steamboat is awesome. Great town, great mountain. But, I still want to try that Utah powder!

  • Going to Utah this Sunday!

  • UTAH kills are you really comparing cool song

  • Clearly this is a Pro Utah Advertisement. Why dont they show the nightlife after skiing in Utah. It doesnt exist.

  • Hell is a local phone call from Utah. Blame it on the Mormons. Good skiing, though.

  • true dat!! im so pumped. going there in FEBUARY!!!

  • Great video! that song is so gangsta fo sho. Utah skiing is world class no doubt, but getting to Vail is no more then 2.5 hours if you rent or get picked up. Also I call BS on 55000 vert in 6 hours at the bird. Thats 20 trips on the tram. No way

  • ALTA is the best

  • ALTA

  • UTAH ROCKS!

  • Park City!!

  • Park City is for wannabes. Snowbird and Alta is where its at. UTAH

  • No way. You must be one of those skiers who hates on boarders and anything park. Park city, The Canyons and Brighton is where it's at.

  • @JohnRhysMusician Altaholic.

  • Go snowbird!!

  • this video is biased.....

    heres what i think-

Colorado ski resorts are bigger and less crowded (out of all the ski resorts I've been to)

but Utah has better snow, and its ski resorts are closer to SLC.

  • Bigger Ain't Better....

  • Comment removed

  • i live in denver so im i little bias but colorado has Aspen and Vail some of the best sking in the world and were more known for it but Whistler is the best so canada wins

  • From the last two comments, I'm guessing the Vail marketing department finally caught wind of this after it being posted for about a year now.

  • Good video. As a Colorado native and current resident, I thank you for showing it. As you continue luring tourists away from here, I get to enjoy less crowded slopes on the beauty that is Vail. So I totally agree... Go to Utah and leave the good stuff for me.

  • so utah is more convenient. who really gives a shit? vail is larger than anything in utah. the back bowls alone are bigger than some utah resorts. there is more terrain in colorado, more ski areas, it is more reliable (utah gets warmer and can have warm spells for weeks), colorado has a longer ski season, and the scenery is more beautiful than anywhere in utah. plus, you feel so much more isolated in colorado. all the good resorts in utah are so close to SLC that you never feel like you got away

  • snowbird!!

  • Ive boarded in both states and 5 resorts in each state. The Canyons, Park city and snowbird alone are better than the 5 colorado states. Steamboat/Buttermilk and Snowmass are cool but there isn't anywhere near as much terrain as Snowbird PC and the Canyons!

  • no away, coloroados much better :)

  • I am going to SLC on the first week of march can wait...here in quebec mountains are small

and what is the name of the songs ??

  • what song is that?

  • Don;t come to Utah!!!! Go to Colorado...

  • Utah or Colorado? Definitly Colorado

  • okay if you want to have a long road trip from the airport

  • Utah is too ass backwards for me

  • true they do have odd laws and all that crap

  • PARK CITY ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutly NOOO Comparison!!! Utah is the dream life!!

  • i have rode every resort in Utah and you picked PC as your favorite? Besides the Terrain park, the rest of that mountain is flat with groomers and moguls. Jupiter Bowl is fun too, but everything in between sucks.

  • There is no comparison...

  • Utah has better skiing IMO. But Colorado is a cooler state.

  • heh awesome, I live in Denver and LOVE it. 7 huge areas just within 1hr from my doorstep, not to mention all the others further away

Though I'd be so happy if I got to ski in Utah

  • i'd rather go to slc...

    just an opinion....

  • Sweet, I'd rather be skiing then driving.

  • what is the name of this song?

  • I've been trying to track down the song name, I guess I need that cool iPhone app!
