2 annoying things hit me: Mufasa seems more like a "I can beat you up"-jerk against Scar then a King. Scar was just unlucky to be the youngest and weakest.
And the audience booh'ed the Scar-acter. And he owned!
Saw it on Saturday. BRILLIANT production. Ever since I saw photos of the costumes I thought that The Lion King is perfect musical material - great music, lovely story, great potential for stage execution. And not even being a fan of musicals I somehow knew I would enjoy this one. I was right. Would go and see it again tomorrow! The woman playing Rafiki had an absolutely mindblowing voice! She was so good, everybody else's vocals seemed noticeably inferior.

I saw this last night for my birthday treat! Even when you're sitting right at the back of the royal circle, the effect was just amazing!! I nearly cried when the show began, actually cried when Mufasa died (no surprise there though - I always do!) and at the end! Scar was such a brilliant singer and actor - so much so that I booed and hissed after 'Be prepared'
Couldn't have asked for a better treat - 10 out of 10!
This is the most visually impressive stage production I've ever seen. You could watch this on mute and you'd still be completely captivated. And that's coming from someone who HATES the movie.

i remember watchting the trailor for this in one of my disney vhs's when i was a kid. i was mezmorized by it, all the animals it was like magic! ever since i've always wanted to see this. i'm mezmorized by this now. giraffes!! gizeelee cheetas birds!!! wow wow!! it's amazing ^^

I saw this a few years ago, and it was by far the best musical I have ever seen, it is absolubtly amazing, I would go if I were you :)

I went in to see it in the summer, good enough tickets were expensive, but it was worth the money, I would highly recommend it!
