@badawg1962 Cheers. Actually this particular toy is a fairly modern one. You had another version. But I know what you mean because I had an old TB1 in the 60s or 70s.
@fatducksareobese Thanks. Actually having the string on the human hand was an idea we had because in the J Frakes film version he had a puppet hand in close-up for the human actors. Hard to spot but it is there when they are launching one of the Thunderbirds.
I have that Firefly! I remember these good times after a saturday morning daily at 11:00, I'd just get all the Thunderbirds out and attempt to reanact the program.
@RobotsGreatWar2 Ha, ha, yeah, didn't we all. That was the great thing - it inspired me to play and use my imagination, and that has progressed into making films these days.
Big kudos to you on your space effects and you did a really good job with TB1 tipping the craft, id love to see what you could do with better filming models and more discreet wire :)
@TB1fan Thanks for your kind words. Well we wanted the wire to keep in line with the original in some way. Did you see the wires on my hands too :-)
But if you search other movies we've made you will see all sorts, some with models on gimbles, CGI, all sorts of film-making techniques used over the years.
Thank you Calvertfilm for this great project. I noticed that somebody always sleeps on the wheel and that is where trouble really starts. Thank God we have the THUNDERKIDS to make a safer world. Thank you kindly for sharing. You guys are awesome. Greetings from LA, CA. USA. The MayanGod1 liked this video. This one goes straight to my favorites.
@theemporour What I mean is it took 6 years for me to get around making a sequel. It didn't take that long to actually make. I'll re-write the comments.
I've been busy in between making an indy feature: monstersmovie(dot)com
