  • Where does all water go once it has been used to irrigate crops etc? - Into the water table, then to rivers, which run into the sea. I dont see how using the water for irrigation is going to keep sea levels down at all.

    Things do have to be done, I agree with that, but your ideas would not work - You even speak of filling streams and rivers with sea water?? Do you think the water will just stay there?? No - it will always end up in the sea!

  • Interesting. The rising sea level is indeed a huge problem. Your solution is huge too.

    I find it fascinating that the sea level could rise maybe houndreds of meters. Not because of the melting ice, but becuase of heat expansion. A warmer planet means higher seas.
