Isn't a Clause a word or a group of words that may or may not stand alone, is this the correct definition? Also my teacher gave me a question on a test parts of speech, wouldn't he be talking about the 8 parts of speech? The question was define part of speech? Is he referring to the 8 parts of speech? Also i was having problems with infinitives. Isn't an infinitive the form of a to be verb and a main verb in front of it? Thanks for your help in advance.
