The vast majority of the black slave descendants in America are multiracial. That is why there is such a huge variety of shades amongst that particular community, and why they are distinguishable from "Pure" Africans. The vast majority of the black slave descendants in America are multiracial. That is why there is such a huge variety of shades amongst that particular community, and why they are distinguishable from "Pure" Africans. Obama is a black American in our society because that's what he is seen as and that has been his experience. It doesn't matter if he's 50% or 12% white.

Obama has done anything but play it safe, he's taken strong and consistant positions from the start. He champions the poor. And he has stated clearly he plans to take on the corrupt special interests in Washington, that is far from a safe position. The only person he's thrown under the bus is Rev Wright, and that was a wise move the way Wright was behaving. It's called being presidential. Obama has strong leadership skills and a clear message. Her unfavorable ratings are at 55% Nationwide, while McCain is a much more likeable person and would beat the Clintons in a landslide during the general Primary if given the chance.
