  • it's funny how all the anti-abortion folks are all about "limiting government" when it comes to wealth distribution and economic welfare

but when it comes down to women and their choice on delivering a child that may or may not harm their life...it seems they are all for government getting its nose into people's business

  • I support planned parenthood -- it is a wonderful organization looking out for women everywhere.

  • I support safe and legal abortion. My body, my choice.

  • This ad is crap womens choice is ok, but not the rights of the unborn. Kiss my ass sean james & joyner.

  • Thank you gentlemen for standing up for women. I just watched Budd Greenspan's show about the 1984 Olympics. Watching Al Joyner speak of his late mother was very emotional and I'm sure she would be proud that he is taking a stand for women's rights.

  • When we start telling grown women what they can do with their bodies, that's the day we start a dangerous slide back into a dark history. Women are not walking incubators, they are human beings. They have a choice about how their bodies will operate and when.

  • @remshot1998 where did you get villification of tebow's mom for her choice from? i thought that this was respectful of her decision. she obviously made the right decision for her which is wonderful. this ad seems to just be advocating respect for a woman's choice independent of what that choice is. the issues that other groups have with the tebow ad seem to have more to do with only having one side represented at such a widely-viewed event when they wouldn't show a pro-gay marriage ad previously

  • This is so amazing, we need more men like this speaking out, thank you!!!!!!!!!

  • Time is inevitable. In time a fetus will be someone like Sean James. Choose life.

  • i am an activist for the rights of women and have been for years. this is not about protecting women's health. this is about taking health and life away from others who themselves could become great men and women. PP doesn't help empower women it destroys the lives of unborn girls. this is a heartbreaking disgrace to the cause of women's rights everywhere.

  • So is this ad "pro Tebow" or "anti Tebow?" I can't tell.

  • @dave4248 It's a "respect Tebow's choices" ad

  • @dave4248 It's "pro-women" and "anti-ignorance".

  • i know people got upset about the tebow add but i thought it was kind of funny... besides they dont say any thing in it. just give a website... i dont know about everyone else but... i never go to a website because i saw it on tv... besides the game was on who would miss it just to go to a website.. BFD

  • what is weird is tebow's mom was critizied for making the choice to keep tebow, and not abort him. so if groups like planned parenthood, and n.o.w where really for women's right to choose, there never would have been an uproar about this commerical. instead they would have praised tebow's mom, for ignoring the doctors, and making a hard choice.

  • @remshot1998 Tebow and his mother created a manipulative advertisement meant to guilt trip anyone considering an abortion and to recruit people to join an organization that disrespects women. It was shameful and disgusting.

  • @remshot1998 Exactly.

  • live is not about collecting kids its about having fun

and if fun is sex then im having some

also the name sex has gotten alot of bad rap

so i think we sould call it fun

cuz doesnt lets all have fun sound better

  • @vleon1012 Third trimester abortions are generally performed due to medical reasons, the mother's health is in danger or the fetus is inflicted with a medical condition that will vastly reduce it's quality of life like encephaly or trisomy.

If a woman didn't want to give birth why would she wait until the 3rd trimester to abort? She wouldn't because the abortion would have happened earlier in the pregnancy

  • why not just promote abstinence?

  • @freelancergin Because it doesn't work and it isn't natural. People aren't going to avoid sex just because someone MIGHT become pregnant.

  • Please people, do NOT give into religious conservatisms. Next thing you know we'll have a Palin in the white house, and 50 percent of girls will not go to college because they will be stuck raising a child.

  • @steagle1017 my 18 year old daughter has a child, finished high school , in the fall she will attend a very well respected university in north carolina, and from what I have seen so far Palin would be a huge improvement in the white house

  • Abortion is disrespectful to women.

  • @aflojo You're disrespectful to women.

  • this took the high road.

  • You know, I never understood how a country who struggles constantly for the separation of government from economic enterprises, health systems and independent thought and speech could be so against the right for woman to make a choice about her own body without government interference.

  • @siriuslynow maybe cause it's not just her own body, its the body of an unborn human being as well. If no one is going to speak for that person who will?

  • We were given the ability to think for ourselves (also known as free will) so that we would be able to come to God on our own and have an actual relationship. God didn't want to FORCE us to love him. He did not give us the ability to think for ourselves so we could decide what act was considered killing and what act was considered a choice.

  • We were given the ability to think for ourselves (also known as free will) so that we would be able to come to God on our own and have an actual relationship. God didn't want to FORCE us to love him. He did not give us the ability to think for ourselves so we could decide what act was considered killing and what act was considered a choice.

  • This video is satanic. The Bible says that satan will come as an angel of light.

Satan is not going to come with a pitchfork and red horns. Satan comes as this irresistably attractive promoted idea or person (aka Obama, abortion, superbowl, and so forth!)

Don't buy into the lie! You are all being deceived!

  • @nigelium Hahahaha.

  • @nigelium This has nothing to do with god.

  • Tebow's ad respected women. Hello!! The mother made a decision it just wasn't a decision endorsed by this organization. Come on people!!!

  • epic win

  • Of all the responses to the Tebow ad I've seen, (and I've been all but spammed them since the Super Bowl) this is easily the most mature one. In fact, it's the ONLY mature response.

@TheBigLon While I respect your opinion on this issue, I must disagree. Each and every person has the right to make whatever decision they feel is right, with regards to their own body. That's just my opinion, though.

  • She taught you wrong then. EVERYONE BE VALUED??? Is that what you said???? When you are the ones that murder God's loving creation??? You people disgust me!!!

  • aw this is beautiful <3

  • It is not a trust issue. It is not a gender issue. It is not a freedom of choice issue. It is a human right issue. All mankind has the right to live. No man, women or child has the right to end another person's life.

  • Then advocate for effective means of avoiding unwanted pregnancy. Not educating men and women about effective birth control methods and then banning them from obtaining abortions when they then have unwanted pregnancies amounts to forcing women to have babies against their will. Nobody can be free when they are forced into that kind of situation.

  • @TheBigLon So you consider every fetus a person? Does that count for every ejaculation as well? What if the mother could not take care of it at all if she gave birth, and there were no others that could either? What if the mother was a 14 year old girl who is homeless? A fetus may be a potential human being, but so is every ova and sperm, but why do we treat one as a person and the other as a liquid?

  • @Ohloveeh ADOPTHION There are so many Fammily out there that will take your Baby of your hands for you LIFE IS PRECIES

  • @matthewconnolly484 There are far too many kids who are never adopted by anyone. The world is overpopulated and too many kids are poor and neglected, don't make it worse.

  • @WhiteFlowerLei76 your sick and immoral

  • @WhiteFlowerLei76 The poor and neglected children are, in your opinion, "unwanted". Why don't we abort them so they don't grow up to be criminals? (Pro-choice arguments are lame.)

  • @WhiteFlowerLei76 So because a child MIGHT not get adopted, you'd rather kill it instead? Makes sense to me...........

  • @TheBigLon also: Sometimes the situation of the mother isnt appropriate to bring a child into play, so we should trust them to make the decision that they believe will be best in the long run.

  • @TheBigLon Lastly: If all mankind has the right to live, then I geuss they all have the right to their own body, the fetus is still technically a part of the mother, like any other part, thus they should have th right to decide what they want to do. Lastly, why with a human its an abortion and a chicken an omlette? Since when did we as living creatures have more rights over our body's then the rest of the animals in this world?

  • @TheBigLon And no person has the right to tell others how to live... That is where you fail. We were given the ability to think for ourselves for a reason...

  • This commercial is more controversial than tebows...

  • Why should it be?

  • i'm pretty sure the only biological function for sex is pregnancy. it just doesnt happen everytime.

    its just also pleasurable.

  • @mechitalachiqui that would really suck if a child came out of every sexual encounter.

  • Pleasurable to re-enforce the drive to make children, it's a kind of conditioning.

  • WOW. alright, all babies in the process of growing. are parasites. sure that makes sense.

they WILL grow to a full "human being" just like you did. - they are being stripped of every right by not being allowed to grow.

every pregnancy is in someway a 'mistake' .

you can do all the things in the world and still not get pregnant ... lots of people try to have this mistake... so... how about ADOPTION!.

lots of people out there actually would take the time and LOVE your parasite...

  • Beautiful!

  • If the Tim Tebow Superbowl ad been exclusively about the free choice of abortion, would Planned Parenthood have created a "rebuttal" ad? Me think not. Why couldn't PP recognize this ad as representing ONE of many options available to women, respect that option, then leave it up to the audience (especially women) to decide its value? Hmmm...could it be that PP is heavily BIASED towards advocating abortion and is politically conditioned to become REACTIONARY to the term "pro-life"?

  • Women know that option already. So this is a moot point.

  • To cknickel : Its kind of hard to do a procedure (safely, properly) when you dont have access to the necessary equipment. And actually, yes, people (as a society) would forget the procedure, because there would be no proper training facilities to pass on that knowledge, and no guarantee that those who already had the knowledge would be willing/able to pass it on in something like an apprenticeship. ...

  • The issue of abortion should be argued on two simple questions. Is it the ending of a human life ? If so , is ending that life justified? I hate the way the " pro choice " people always fail to even address the actual point.

  • Comment removed

  • I just have one question. What about the baby? What about the little life you take when you chose abortion? I just don't understand, how a mother can be so selfish that they can stoop to killing their own child. A fetus and even a fertilized egg is a baby, whether people want to except it or not.

  • This is such a beautiful commercial.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah. Some people feel like their decision to kill should be respected. We call them murderers; sociopaths. We lock them in prisons.

  • this is a great ad. abortion is the law. get over it. if you don't like it, don't get the procedure. no one is forced to have an abortion. however, if the religious nuts have their way, they would force us to bear kids even when we cannot physically or emotionally do so.

Just like they messed up our drug and alcohol laws during the prohibition, they will mess up reproductive rights. Stick to reading verses. Get your hands off people's bodies.

  • "abortion is the law"... terrible argument... Slavery was law, so were the japanese internment camps during world war two... just terrible terrible lack of reason.

As for forcing anyone to bear kids... no one forced anyone to have sex. Those who have conceived have made there choice. There should be no further choice, because that choice affects the life of an innocent child, and if the mother will not do her duty and protect it, then by God society must!

  • "We are working toward the day where every woman should be valued."

So, that includes baby girls in the womb, right?

Anyways. I love how some people seem to think that being pregnant is some sort of medical issue or illness, like cancer or a kidney disease.

And by trusting their daughters to "make the right decision", how about waiting to have sex until they can support a child? Sex leads to babies...it's common knowledge.

  • People who TRULY value family..would never view the murdering of innocent children as the "smart choice"!

  • Great!

  • This is a wonderful and important ad. Thanks to all who participated.

  • did planned parenthood feel threatened by the FOF ad...I like Tim's Ad better....and his mom is so cute! What a brave woman for choosing to give her child life regardless of what it would cost. By the time a woman typically finds out she is pregnant, the heart is beating, brain development is taking place and organs are developing/developed. Life is a life no matter how small...

  • That means absolutely nothing. Life is meaningless to those who are not self aware.

  • This is about CHOICE. Making abortion illegal isn't the answer. Are you suggesting forced pregnancy is? The birth control pill prevents a fertilized egg from attaching to the uterine wall. In your ideal world is the pill illegal too? The number of abortions has continued to decline, as our society has begun to publicly discuss "birth control" e.g., condom ads on MTV etc.

  • @LYNDA9596... You think moms should have the choice of abortion? You are pro-abortion. Don't lie to yourself and don't sugar-coat it. You're on one side or the other. Either you think women should be able to kill the child growing inside them, that they are responsible for protecting... or you don't. You think mothers should have the choice? It's not her life. It's not hers to take. Don't you think it should be the baby's choice? and don't you think the baby wants to live?

  • @veritasaltius The baby can't make that choice. And if I as a fetus had known all of what I was going to go through in life and how my parents would have suffered because of me being born, I might have chosen not to be born at all.

There are just some situations where babies are better off not being born. It has nothing to selfish people and stupid, man made ideas of what's 'moral' and 'right.' Sometimes doing what's right makes you look evil to ignorant, stupid people.

  • @ fabifly

First you say that ideas of what is 'right' and 'moral' are man made and stupid... then you call me evil... do you see the paradox? "There are just some situations where babies are better off not being born." --if you don't want a baby don't have sex...

  • Being pro-choice doesn't make you anti-life. It's about women's rights and freedom. This commercial states that elequently.

  • I like this ad. It's talking about trusting and supporting every woman to make the right choices for herself, her body, and her life.

  • What was the big push to terminate the Tim Tebow ad all about?

  • Intolerance

  • The truth is the choice is about what to do with the 46 chromosomed individual within her.

There is no more pivotal moment in the subsequent growth and development of a human being than when

23 chromosomes of the father join with

23 chromosomes of the mother to form a unique,

46 chromosomed individual, with a gender, who had previously simply not existed.

  • Bravo James, Joyner and Planned Parenthood.

  • You should AIR this respectful AD. I loved it.

  • I just like to say, it's called Pro-Choice, not pro-abortion. One can be pro-choice and not believe in abortions. Pro-Choice is more then just about abortion issues. Its about a woman's right to choose what she wants to do with her own body, i.e. whether or not she wants to take birth control pills, etc.

  • What about a baby's "choice" to live. Or her "choice" not to have sex in the first place?

  • Don't sugar coat it. Being pro-choice means that you think it's a woman's right to choose whether or not her baby should live or die. A mother has a responsibility to protect her child, and no right to destroy it.

  • This clip is so awesome!!

  • @Punchingjudy Have you ever looked up the word Tumor? Obviously not. This is the definition for Tumor " an uncontrolled, abnormal, circumscribed growth of cells in any animal or plant tissue; neoplasm" A Fetus or Baby is not an abnormal thing, in fact, it is very normal. It is also not 'uncontrolled'. It is very controlled, by both the Mother's hormones and the baby's hormones.

  • I love this video and I believe in it`s message, such a well done presentation I think .

  • Pretty unbelievable that the media see's THIS as a controversy, yet most every "celebrity" who gives an award speech throws in a plug for their liberal agenda and nobody says a word. Everyone's free to express his/her opinion, so long as it's a liberal opinion- if it's a conservative opinion, then I suppose it's automatically controversial..... in a Country that has many more conservatives than liberals, how's this possible? I guess cause the media is 90% liberal.....

  • SO true.

  • I see you only screen your comments that is why the majority of the comments are favorable to you. I have commented on this video but my comments have not being posted. My comments are rebuttal to other comments. If you believe to be in the right why not let all comments as long they don't use obscene language. Thanks for revealing yourself. I am sure I am not the only one who was unable to post b/c we disagree with your mission. post or don't, I just wanted to give you a message.

  • i feel that abortion is wrong, but after seeing how painful birth is, and that sometimes the adoption system fails; maybe abortion should be allowed.

  • or maybe not.

  • THANK YOU! I wish they had played this right alongside the Tebow Ad.

  • This is good stuff

  • Did not listen to much, but. I think it is a

Pro Choice for her to have or not.! HER CHOICE!

not congress, or anyone else that is not involved, (my thought only)

  • wow

  • Even though I personally don't like abortions, I do feel that woman should have the right to have one. These conservative pro lifers talk a good game about what their cause is but when they cut programs that help less fortunante people it makes it harder for those families to make it through. Not all but some kids wind up going the wrong route. Pro Life doesn't just start with a empty promise, it ends with real pro lifers taking the next step to help these children who weren't aborted.

  • Very respectful commercial. You don't know what you will do and how you will feel until you are in that situation. I was pro-choice, my son is now 17 months and I am most definitely 100% pro-life its the only way. Adoption or keeping it yourself, there are other options then killing an innocent child for someone elses screw up. Fetuses as we may call them,to disengage ourselves from the emotional aspect of baby, have been proven to live outside of the mothers body when abortions can take place.

  • I respect your opinion, but I have to ask one question that I feel is pivotal to the issue but too often overlooked.

Do you feel that is right to force your opinion on other women who may or may not agree with you?

You don't have to answer me, if you feel that forcing your opinion on others is okay vote in favor of laws limiting or forbidding abortion, if not vote against those kind of laws.

  • @277Lisha There are those of us that do not consider the fetus to be a baby until a certain point in its development. In the first several weeks, it's closer to a tumor than a baby. That's not what you want to hear, but that's reality.

And no, they don't all live outside the body. Babies born < 22 weeks do not live.

  • you're right about one thing, a baby can't survive without the compassion bestowed on it from a woman; but it is life from the start

  • Since you stated your case as fact, I would love to hear how a baby at several weeks is more like a tumor than a baby. Please tell me which tumor the mother creates of her own free will. Please tell me which tumor is growing into a child of the mother's own image. You're comparison sickens me. You know nothing of what you claim to know.

  • So when 23 chromosomes from a mother join with 23 chromosomes of a father they become what?

  • a blastocyst

  • You "don't consider the fetus to be a baby until a certain point in its development", yet, scientifically, a baby is a baby from conception.

  • Um, scientifically, a baby is a baby from whenever our cultural-linguistic norms decide to start calling it one. 2, 4, 8, 16 human cells do not a baby make.

  • I think both the Tebow ad and the Planned Parenthood response were respectful and well thought out presentations of differing points of view. I think it would do an enormous amount of good for our children to see that adults can disagree without resorting to name-calling and profanity no matter the topic.

  • I think that the best way to reduce the number of unwanted pregancies is just not to get pregnant, but things can go wrong. Ectopic pregnancy, for example. It's a condition in which a fertilized egg implants somewhere other than the uterus (often fallopian tube). So the choice is: remove the fetus and the woman lives, leave it and eventually the tube will rupture and both will die anyway. Whether she is willing to risk it or abort is her choice. Can you blame a doc who would want to save her?

  • This is the most appropriate and respectfull response to the Tebow Ad. I'm pro life, but sympathize and can't argue with pro choice activists. Most responses by pro choice people have been negative, insulting and very defensive comments.

This video is of great taste. It's nice to see people with class.

  • I think pro-choice people have a bit of a right to get defensive considering that pro-lifers are usually negative, insulting, and offensive to us when all we want is for EVERYONE to be able to make their own choices, be it abortion, adoption, keeping the baby, or otherwise.

  • The real story here isn't either of the ads (although this was great--it showed respect for Tebow and her decision, which is all pro-choice folks want). The story, however, is CBS. After years of refusing "issue advertisement," they accept this issue ad and claim they've suddenly (conveniently?) reversed this longstanding policy.

Yeah, that mainstream media is so darn liberal.

  • As to women in life n death pregnancy situation, I can see them chosing abortion because to me that is defense of self. I mean if it is highly likely both of you will not survive or you will not survice then I don't see a problem with aborting as much as it pains me to say. However, as proven by Tebow's mother and other women story, doctors's diagnosis are not always correct. I for one am glad she had faith and did not abort.

  • So what? CBS can do what they want. Seems you're pro-choice for everything that doesn't go against your elite values. By the way, you can hardly call the commercial "issue advertisement", but CBS did say the NOW could run their own commercial. I suppose, they got enough media going on talk shows and maligning a commercial they had never seen.

  • Except that CBS gave NOW the go-ahead only two weeks ahead of the bowl. Enough time to make a Super Bowl commercial? No, not even close.

  • Really? This commercial, you know the one you're posting on, came out in plenty of time.

  • You are correct AnceyStar, they are both good commercials, and they leave it to the individual to make a choice. And I'm as anti planned parenthood as you can get.

  • Did they end up running the Tebow ad after all?

  • The right to have an abortion is called 'Women's Rights.' The right to deny abortions is called 'Baby's rights."

  • IDK why I didnt expect that to be a planned parenthood commercial, but I had no idea what they were talking about until the logo came up lol

  • I think that women and men should have decision making power over their bodies to the point where their decisions do not infringe upon the rights of others. I guess I can't understand how passage through the birth canal magically transforms the fetus into a human with rights, but seconds earlier it can be killed without any moral problems? People choose to do a lot of terrible things. I think everyone can agree that there should be limits on peoples choices, right?

  • So the SB ad I saw was a 30sec ad that did not even mention abortion....so I do not know what all the fuss was.

  • oprah had a show about this issue- she showed that if the option was not available that the mother would use her own method- usually a dumpster :(

  • yeah. women should have the right to "make the choice" but the choice shouldnt be made when their already pregnant, it should be made when they have sex

  • I couldn't agree more! Being pregnant is a result of deciding to have sex and women should not be able to "correct" this choice by ending the life of their child. As the old saying goes, "2 wrongs don't make a right"

  • What is the point of even having comments, if they're not going to be posted...?

  • We all have so much in common, both pro-lifers and pro-choicers. After all, we are all here because our mothers didn't abort us! Be thankful!

  • its amazing how much hoopla from the prochoice side about a woman who made a choice. HA Why is it that a woman who chooses to keep her child is somehow controversial, but a woman who chooses to kill hers is somehow more acceptable..(?)hmm Its funny how Planned Parenthood always speaks of abortion as a healhcare issue as if the majority of abortion decisions made are for the "health" of the mother. That is not only hilarious but disgustingly deceitful.

  • if you cant trust women with a choice, how can you trust them with a child?

  • Wow, the Focus on the Family ad was cute, and if you didn't already know the story, the ad didn't give anything away. This ad, however, is a direct stab to the gut of innocence. It was blunt... a little too blunt. You can't have a rebuttal that fights dirty, but that's exactly what this is.

  • Thank You Planned Parenthood for respecting women enough to honor all womens' decisions regarding their bodies and their health!

  • It is not about respecting all women and their health!!!

Our rights ends where the rights of another begins unless it involves self-defense. Self defense in this case would be if the mothers life is in mortal danger which unfortunately majority of abortion conducted in this country do not qualify

  • I really don't get it...why the argument? If you want to have a child, then that's perfectly fine, have one. If you don't think the time is right, then you should be allowed an abortion. It doesn't matter if you agree with it or not, it shouldn't be your decision, it should be the Mother's.

  • If all the Pro-lifers are so interested in saving babies, maybe they should focus more effort into the 500,000+ kids in foster care who cannot find permanent homes and families.

  • that is as much a sign as a problem in our society as is abortion...you're right, people need to be more compassionate and try putting others needs above their own

  • Why did they even need to make a response commercial???

  • Attacks Tebow - makes them small and petty. Abortion exploits woman and hurts the most venerable. The womb shoud be the most safest for our young

  • This rebuttal ad seems awkward at best. The only reason Sean James was able to appear in this ad was because his mother chose NOT to abort him. The Tebow ad is nothing more than a mom telling us how she overcame ALL the difficulties in her "risky" pregnancy and that despite all her struggles she and her family were blessed with someone wonderful. Planned Parenthood just needs to embrace ALL forms of choice---the right to give birth as well as the right to abort a pregnancy.

  • I am oddly against most abortions but pro-choice. I think that not allowing a woman to make that decision is akin to rape, as you are not giving her a choice in the matter and treating her as a vessel. BUT the best way to stop abortions is prevention, so the teaching of safe sex and abstinence as two choices is the best route. America has a high teen-birth rate compared to countries (like Germany) that have gov't-run sex education.

    Both were good commercials.

  • I feel you on that. I'm pretty much the same way. I'm also of the impression that Bristol Palin is for comprehensive sex education. She says that young people should "think about the consequences" of having sex, but how can they think if they are not given anything to think about?

  • Thank you. This is the only genuine rebuttle to the ad from the Superbowl. Both sides have the right to be heard and respected.

  • Did the Tebow ad really need a rebuttal? I don't think so.

  • When only one voice is allowed to be heard? Yeah, I think a rebuttal (or at least another perspective) is necessary.

  • I don't want to get into the issue of which side of the issue is right because I honestly have a hard time with it myself but I just think the Tebow ad was sweet and touching, this sort of seems like an attack on the Tebow ad which didn't even take a jab at their cause at all.

  • Thanks to Focus on the Family for a beautiful ad without being overbearing, guilt tripping, or divisive. The rights of unborn children have to be recognized in the hearts of individuals rather than by politically targetting a generalized audience with hateful propaganda. It has to be about one baby at a time - not the faceless thousands that are discarded daily. And it has to be centered on love of mother and child together without condemning mothers who are simply following a cultural norm.

  • "simply following a cultural norm", you are gravely misguided and have no grasp of the torment it takes for women to make such immensely difficult decisions. you are part of the problem which encourages mentally ill individuals to feel justified for violence against legal and life saving medical facilities. shame on you

  • So they spend a whole minute of network TV time telling the world that 'We can trust women'? I missed the part in the past where we didn't trust them. Thanks for being so catering.

  • No they didn't. Because they won't let them run these ads.

  • "I missed the part in the past where we didn't trust them."

So you missed all of human history? In case you haven't noticed, women have been kept under men's thumbs since the beginning of the human race.

  • What if your "little girl" wanted to jump into oncoming traffic? Would you be pro-choice or tell her, "Stop don't do that."

  • How do you relate being Pro-Choice to allowing a little girl to jump into oncoming traffic? Just because someone is Pro-choice doesn't mean they are advocating death. Being Pro-Choice means that you believe every individual can make choices for themselves- people can make choices that go either way!

  • What a stupid comment..That is an apples and oranges comparison...What if your "little girl" got drunk and gang raped at a party or molested by an uncle or cousin...would you not want to give her the choice to erase and hopefully forget about the worst experience of her life? Or would you force her to live with a constant reminder of the day she was abused and tortured? It is not for us to decide...the option at least has to be on the table

  • Thanks guys for letting folks know that all jocks aren't as simple minded as Tim Tebow, and other mom's should have the same choice that his mom had.

  • Shame this advert focuses entirely on women AS IF only women are of importance and deserving respect.

Why do these men only want their daughter - not their Sons too - to be strong & able? Do they not want to support their families by trusting their Sons too?

This isn't directly sexism - but it sure blows of the typical feminist mantra that only women matter while men don't.

  • Or it could be that women are not really treated as equals yet, and they already know that their sons will have their choices respected while their daughters, sadly, will most of the time not be able to make the choices that are right for them thanks to a society that doesn't respect them as equals to men.

Sorry for the run-on sentence. :P

  • very interesting comment Mathewskarl...im a woman and i can appreciate your point on view..we need to teach ours sons respect for women, but as well as themselves...yes sexism runs rampt in our society...

  • First of all its NOBODY"S business. Its between a woman, her God and her family. I also have a question for all of you that have issues with abortion.... How many unwanted, crackbabies, or unwanted children have you adopted?? If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem. And as far as being gay. if they can provide a loving, stable and happy home. I say YEAH! ANd for the ones who say "God hates gays.. MY god does not hate anyone. and who are you to put words in God's mouth?

  • @2flippinlips i was also going to include something like the "how many have you adopted?" concept but i just forgot so thank you. also, i agree with you on the "God hates gays" thing i just think the consensus shows that most people believe gays are sinners. and @ppchute50...that's exactly the type of "Christian bigot" talk i was referring to. i feel an implication as if you think you're better than me because you believe in God and assume i don't believe in any God/gods

  • I like the ad, but why make a video about tebow , his mother and him said nothing wrong , and if we want to learn more we can go to Focuse on the Family,,,,,That ad is great of Tebow and his mother.......

  • Never has there been such a protest of what Pro-Choice people believed the Tebow ad would say. Hypocrites. Pro-Choice is just what Mrs. Tebow did, made a choice when doctors told her it was a risk. This proves that Pro-Choice people aren't Pro-Choice at all. They are PRO-ABORTION. They are really for censorship and NOT allowing a woman reproductive choices. Mrs. Tebow's ad celebrates choice and the life choice she made bringing Tim into the world. The Gators are glad she did.

  • Yes, Mrs. Tebow made a choice, which I can respect. What I can't respect is that the same people applauding her CHOICE are the same people trying to take mine away.

It's not celebrating the right to choose if you condemn one side while celebrating only your own.

  • IamMrBeechum, and apparently, not everyone believes in babies.

  • thanks to all the liberal loons who promoted the tebow vid. if they hadn't made such a hoop-la about it, people probably wouldn't have known what it was about! so thanks!

  • 100% agreed destine, to all the idiots out there who dont want to deal with the consequences, its garbage, only if a girl is raped should the thought of abortion even be allowed, otherwise, live with your decisions

  • After years of complaining about Super Bowl ads Focus on the Family put their money where their mouths were in buying ad time.. It wasn't offensive. In fact it was witty. Planned Parenthood and other groups who complained have egg on their faces.

  • I'm not necessarily pro-choice or against it. However, no matter what view point everytime someone gets an abortion they're killing a life.

  • I am a little offended that because I believe in Pro-Life that it is insinuated that I don't respect or trust the decisions of women in regards to their health and their bodies. I do realize that their are circumstances that arise that limit the choice of a woman to carry a child to full term. I also realize that their are choices made that place women in the position to have to make that choice. We need to protect those who can't protect themselves in those situations.

  • this issue isn't about whether or not women have the right to choose. It's about whether or not we have the right to life. any of you reading this right now-if your mom made a "health" DECISION to kill you-you wouldn't be here reading this right now. Think about it.

lets focus on the life being lost. not the decision being made.

  • @Laxinlovin08 If my mother had made a 'health decision' I wouldn't care because I wouldn't be here to care about it

The "what if your mother aborted you!" argument is old and tired

  • So, can we say that a woman's decision should be respected with greater effort than to save an innocent life? Which one is more important? Really? Have we gotten this morally corrupted as to think that we should allow someone the free decision at the expense of a life?
