  • Great message, thankyou! from Jimmy @ Occupy Edinburgh.

  • ndaa is law , ows will be considered as "terrorist " as a result of that , many military people will round people up in fema camps , and as a result of that because of the unconstitutional actions of the government , tea party members will side with the military because they "support our troops" and fox news and other media outlets will only put fuel on the fire . just to add more tensions , kinda like a waco event each month which will be described as " Civil unrest" continued ...

  • @lorndarken which by this time will just break out into complete civil war between the people and the governments , with all this said and done , no one will see things the same again in this country , revolution happen when governments stop fearing it's people !!!!

  • Thank you for this.

  • You're a nice girl, but you're profoundly uniformed. Sorry, but that's the reality. You keep "studying" things. Thirty years ago I was just like you. One day you'll understand that YOUR slavery is your own creation, not the creation of someone else. Only YOU can make you wealthy and financially secure. YOU must have your back. Those of us who have moved forward toward prosperity invite you, but be clear about this... We do not OPPRESS you. YOU oppress yourself. Ask me how I did it.

  • I understand and support your plea, but I don't agree with you on everything. And we don't have to. E pluribus unum. We need more people like you.

Sincerely, a self-appointed Indignado from Belgium

  • Thank you

  • ha ha it's disgusting how these parasites will not cast their vote for president Paul. 2012 will bring you so much tyranny I can't wait to see you retarded government loving bootlickers.

  • Thank you for this. You are an amazing person :D

  • I agree with you.

  • Very articulate.

  • Thank you for sharing you... [I am Love and so you are]

  • @tejansen :-)

  • Thank you for sharing this.

I am totaly agree with you.

    Love,freedom and peace to all.

  • You are one 100% right. You touch my heart. The power of Love is, and will bee, stronger. The more vulnerable you are, the more powerful you are. I support you!

  • You are one gifted person that is far beyond you years!

    All my LOVE!

  • Jenny, This is very thoughtful, lovely and moving. There is a world to be won as they say and all of us in this movement have to be realistic both about what we are up against and who are our natural allies. Power to the people forever.

  • This is why I have incredible optimism, younger people who r intelligent, passionate, brave & willing 2 make significant sacrifices in order 2 effect a better world. I support the occupy movement, but it is heavily infiltrated as any such movement of that size is, that is why collective intelligence must win out over subversive manipulation from the inside that the 1% always use 2 get their way. If occupy can overcome this challenge & not alienate the 99%, we will have a better world 2012. TJP

  • @1worldcitizen I share your optimism. There are so many of us working in so many different ways to change the power structure for the benefit of all.

The occupy movement is not only infiltrated, it's guided by pied pipers who try to set the stage. The solution is to be unpredictable, ignore those who try hold you to a certain way of being. You know best what is right for you. As you ignore them they will become more insistent. This exposes them as manipulators.

    Do no harm.

    Occupy your life.

  • @underterraingrunter Extremely well put, when the thought police try to control the movement let them expose themselves. Unpredictability is another strategic imperative. Creativity is hugely important, there is so much untapped human creativity, we must tap into that 100%.

  • Those words will not go unheard, miss Jenny Jenkinss. You reminde me of a great fantasie story figure, princess Amidala. (Star Wars) Just like you, she fought with al her hart for the purpase of her people. And was loved by them. And so are you.

The members of Occupy Genk - Belgium now know you too. Use your voice and intelligents also in the future, keep the conversation open... Because we need you, more than you know!

  • I also have your back.

  • Solidarity Everlasting...long live OWS may your demands be fulfilled.

  • Thank you from Occupy Amsterdam! We share your concerns. Much love...

  • the revolutionary tide will recede, will go astray. time & again reaction will gain. revolution will have to wait untill a revolutionary party emerges with necessary strength to lead it." so comrade, now its time for you to search for that genuine revolutionary party in your country & strengthen it. with revolutionary regards.

  • .... "out of the discontent of the workers & peasants in the society, time & again revolutionary tide will try to surge foth in waves following waves- in wave after wave, it will try to burst forth- the contradiction & conflicts brewing up within the society will time & again seek to express & demand a fundamental change of this order, will fervently appeal to human conscience, will urge upon the human consciousness & demand revolution. but there will be no revolution. again & again...

  • comrade, (this would be appropriate since you are a revolutionary),your letter was inspiring. yes, it is very painful to see a pro people's movement losing its strength. i felt the teachings of founder general secretary of SUCI(C), graet Marxist thinker of this era, Comrade SHIBDAS GHOSH are most apt...

  • Thank you from Occupy Venlo - The Netherlands - Keep up the good work!

  • so uhhhm... will you marry me? lol

  • Thank you, sister. Your words are powerful and touch me deeply. You are right, our only defense is to stand together no matter what may come. I will do that and hope that your words inspire many more to do the same.

  • I really appreciate these words young lady...I really do but I have been strip searched, so had my father and his and his..we have been and continue to attempt to survive organized and planned genocide for hundreds of years and are considered whiners in this american society, blamed for our condition and must convince our white brothers they are eligible too, countless conversations have I had and I have some white friends I consider brothers...but i am a POW in america not an immigrant!

  • I cannot guide my young black soldiers to the aid of any man on this planet earth as noone stands with us in the prisons, in the transgenerational poverty and hopelessness levied upon an entire race of people who cannot call this place home and cannot call any other place..I can Join no people on this planet earth, they can join in ours, it is the oldest, longest standing and most sanctioned crime on earth. People who cannot even speak English look at me in SCORN..better than I..really??

  • You and your message are Beautiful. Much Love. <3

  • Thank you so much for your statement. I want to translate it in Dutch and spread it through our media. Let's hope 2012 will see the birth of a new age! With love and a big hug.

  • Keep going girl. The sheeple are starting to wake up. Keep the faith and keep the peace. The tyrants are showing their face and will be exposed and deposed. Peace, love and respect.

  • Evolujah! Occu Sister

  • ♥♥♥

  • This video represents all of what is best about OWS. Keep fighting and standing tall! Power to the people!

  • Thought provoking and well said. Thanks for sharing.

  • Beautiful and true. Thank you for posting this

  • Viva La Revolution!

  • Take the streets.

  • This is great....It's a simple request Wall street...PAY YOUR TAXES TOO! We need to reroute skills to make job placement work for people...FOLKS NEED JOBS! We also need to END THESE WARS! They are against productivity (broken glass fallacy). Why is it so hard for the extreme wealthy not to see these problems? A rising tide raises all ships! Be good Americans Wall Street!! Someone has to make a difference and we need to show them how....thank you.

  • The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up over 6% since Occupy Wall Streeters pulled their money out of the markets & the banks. Nice move. Keep banging those bongo drums & dancing in the conga lines chanting "woah is me" while others your age are moving ahead of you. You folks are leaving yourselves behind. I hope you're getting something out of it. Have fun!

  • @dnnkbk you're a goddamned fool.

  • Meanwhile, today the stock market exploded up, home sales are going wild, and the economy is in the middle of a MAJOR turn around. All the while, the Occupy Wall Street people are literally standing out in the cold and having pulled all their money out of the markets are missing out on great profits as more of America elevates themselves to prosperity. Keep staying outside the system and complaining how things aren't working while people your age are moving ahead.

  • @ArmyFtBall She's not JUST talking about profit (which is fine). She's talking about human rights and the erosion of these in this country and what soldiers fight for! Pain and misery need to end is all. Capitalism is fine, I agree with it and work hard for a living but she's making a separate point outside of that is all.-Cheers, J

  • I bumped into a friend at the airport one day on Maui. I was traveling from the Big Island over to Kauai and just been through the craziest month ever. He said something to me after I told him about the month I had just spent on the Big Island. It was the simplest of things, but holds true every time. The thing he said was, "Trust the Process". I know it seems like a small thing, but it has so much depth that I am still learning things from it. Occupy is a reflection of human re-evolution. Trust

  • You want change, you must do it using the only thing mankind as a whole understands... Bloodshed. Standing with a sign and allowing yourselves to be beaten by police will accomplish nothing. Perhaps in the future when things really hit rock bottom is when your movement will garner the momentum it truly needs to be a success. Right now, America is too happy wearing their blindfolds. America needs to hit rock bottom for this to happen. Until then, I sit and wait for my time to shine.

  • before u no it there be militarty enforcement on streets of nyc

  • bottom line is you can't say you're speaking for 99% of all Americans when 99% of all Americans don't even agree with you. ...and don't disagree with me, because 99% agree with my post. right? sure. why not? I said 99%, just like you. both have equal merit I guess. I am the 99%! I am the 99%! lol Enjoy the thread, I, unlike you, am going to try to get into the 1%. It's odd you don't want to as well. Enjoy your bongo drums & conga line chanting. Merry Christmas.

  • @ArmyFtBall You clearly don't understand what it means when we talk about "the 99". It has nothing to do with political ideology or who you agree with. 99% is a purely economic concept. If you are not a billionaire than you are part of the 99%. Again this is not a public opinion thing. No one is saying that 99% of people agree with Occupy. The 1% are those that are in the top 1% in wealth. This is true regardless of their politics.

  • @neillss This movement isn't about what the 99% agree with. It's about waking the 99% up to the fact that things aren't as they seem and that the corporations and government aren't actually looking after our interests or accurately representing us.

  • @ArmyFtBall Stop feeding off the MSM cool aid!

  • Your letter is literally beyond words.

Articulate about the dark and deep. Articulate about the soft and sweet.

Courage in the woman gives me a Joan of Arc shudder.

    I love you.

  • A comment to the girl in the video. Go live in Communist Cuba. You'll LOVE it there. There is no 1%. Everyone is the same. All living in peace & harmony. It's not this mean bad capitalistic system where people make different amounts of money based on their abilities. Yes, young people DO and ARE getting ahead in this economy. what are they doing? being creative & working hard. finding new businesses to start rather than whining. those who work can get to the 1%. Are you up for it?

  • @ArmyFtBall Yes, because the only alternative to an out of control corporatism society is oppressive Communism. I mean since we're already perfect that means that can be no in between and there can be no room for improvement, right? Any change would only be for the worse and ruin everything.

    God bless America! Or else!

  • @ArmyFtBall It is funny you are so critical of communist Cuba. Yes it is bad. But you know what? The US is so bad, that there are several ways that the US is worse than even Cuba. On several basic socioeconomic metrics of a county, the United States IS a third world country. Things are not just getting worse in the US along with the rest of the world, things are getting worse in the US absolutely, and at the current trend, the United States will be a Third World country within 20 years.

  • this bored me to death

  • You have the right idea (if that idea is smaller government and less control over the "99%") You talk of trying to promote "sharing, community, respect and addressing peoples needs" If you really want to do all those things then I strongly suggest you go to a Christian Church!! Camping out in front of a courthouse or on the streets isn't really doing much. We get it your pissed. So go get educated and get elected and really DO SOMETHING! In the mean time, don't forget to VOTE.

  • I love every word, letter, syllable...you spoke.

  • thank you for this.

  • Also, those politicians aren't going to do shit. That's the issue. The system is broken, and they are trying to fix it. For the 1%.

We aren't putting pressure in the street so Obama or Clinton or some other imperial Democrat "finally hears our plea". No. They will NEVER give us anything, because all we want is a new world. They are the 1%. They are the problem. Even the idea we should expect them to do something... that's a sign they still control our minds, even our dreams.

    Stop asking. Do.

  • For real. Jen, thanks for talking. One thing though, arguing with the mainstream media (aka "the power structure) about how they distort things is a losing battle. They won't stop talking shit, and backward people won't stop falling for it. They say we are lazy bums. Then it turns out not to be true so they say we are narcissistic yuppies. And so on. Instead of appealing for the "truth" to the "masses" — we just have to keep ripping up the script and writing things fresh.

  • Huge support from the U'K!1.DO NOT DOUBT YOURSELVES NOW..!!1 keep THE FAITH.!..I spend has much time has i can sharing your strength.to people who just can't understand what your fight is yet!1...but they are coming around..and because of your occupying Unity the System has we know it is on the verge of collapse.and the higher Elite are worried and running scared...they have never encountered this much resistance ..before.there are more behind your fight than you realize love peace and respect

  • Start your own business. Work 12 hours a day on it. Hire people at wages you think they should earn.

You believing that your every word is agreed to by 99 out of every 100 people is hubris at best.

  • @ArmyFtBall

I saw your comment and believe that you are misguided. I am a strong supporter of the Occupy movement. I believe it is the most important social movement I have seen. I started my own business many years ago. I work many many hours and am successful. I am not part of the 1% yet but am probably in the 5%. I believe she is absolutely correct. We need a strong middle class in this country - it is being decimated by policy favoring the rich. Ask me. I know.

  • @uthigs111 what's killing the middle class is globalization. when labor can be had for 10% of what it costs in the USA, businesses must use it. All the computer equipment she is using to make this video has been made overseas. Would she pay 5 times more for it to have it made in the USA? And if so, would the vast majority of people? no, of course not. People don't shop at Walmart because it's a beautiful store, they go there because they WANT the cheapest prices.

  • ArmyFtBall but that is ignorant. Have you even contemplated the 1%'s cost structure? The 1%'s income has nearly quadrupled in the past 25 years. The 99%'s has increased 40% -- far less than the rise in basic needs food, healthcare, housing, utilities. The 1% has almost HALF the wealth of the entire country, up from less than 10% in 1960. The window of opportunity to avoid a 1%-State (where the 99% is literally enslaved) will close (say at TWO-THIRDs?) unless smart people like you wake up.

  • @uthigs111 (continuing) So, instead of whining about other people paying their bills & claiming with their haughty attitude that they speak for 99 out of every 100 Americans, how about trying to get new trade laws rather than attempting to destroy our financial industry which provides jobs to millions. we're the finanical capital of the world, why destory that? we already lost our manufacturing capital of the world status.

  • @ArmyFtBall New trade laws? So you haven't heard of Citizens United or Corporate Personhood or the realities of wealth and political influence? New Trade Laws, ya okay that's a good one Army Foot Baller. lol

  • @uthigs111 (final continuation) Most young people don't even agree with these "occupiers". Google it to see. youtube prevents url's from being posted or I'd post the links here.

Lastly, to reiterate my point, how can she claim what she says is what 99 out of 100 Americans agree with? That's utter trash & blather. It sounds like a communist country that says 99% of people voted for the dictator.

these people are full of themselves. grow up, get a job, or make your own.

  • @ArmyFtBall Stop saying stuff you are vastly ignorant about Army Foot Ball. Do you even know what the Occupiers want loud mouth? To make a blanket claim that most people or most young people don't agree with the Occupiers is like saying most people like slavery. Last time I checked, virtually everyone dislikes slavery, except perhaps the slave owners. Duh!

  • @ArmyFtBall You have more intelligence than the average bear, but since you suffer from a vast ignorance, your arguments just lead to terribly misguided conclusions. We want to help you.

  • I dont know about the occupy movement near you but im from toronto and our movement was taken over by local unions and in turn supessed the movement here, also there seems to be a hierarcy here, and i do not belive that a few people should make decisions for the many, i was at the occupation for 3 days and got sick of people telling me how to resist, forcing thier police escorts on u and rules that "they" whoever "they" are have put in place for everyone

  • . As someone who is very active in the risistance movement this seems like it is suppessing it more than anything. the occupation of already occupied Turtle Island is just deviding us up and making everyone look like fools!

  • I think you are all fantastic. I have great respect for you. I love you all. I do everything in my power to promote different occupations etc. I am disabled and live in the UK, I spend everyday of my life fighting anyway I can. Your doing a super fantastic thing. I hope to see change in my lifetime, it has been a long time coming, and needs to run its course. SOLIDARITY

  • Mostly good! I disagree with the statement you made about confronting the police...I heard the word "militant" used there. That is the wrong approach, you will justify their crackdown and you will lose the grass roots support that you are trying to garner. Antagonizing the cops will not get you anywhere and it must be avoded at all costs. Prime time news clips showing affluent kids calling the police pigs does not go down well with mainstream America. Be careful, the whole world is watching.

  • Thank you for your willingness to put yourself in harms way for the greater good... it is young people like you who give me hope when all looks hopeless... you have a voice and you are using it well... I have your back!!!

  • awesome, please get in contact with the occupy boston tv folks, we started a public access newsy, talk thing that can and does air. i think you would be awesome and if you cant do it permission to use this clip would work too!

mike g (sorry i dont want to put contact out here but if you go to the website you can figure it out if your interested in another form of dissemination)

  • <3

  • I don't agree with law enforcement at all.

The fact is, they are now proactive. THEY initiate violence.

  • "This is the statement of a mature and self-aware person in a mature and self-aware movement. It deserves to be shared widely." That's what I put on this when I posted it on FBook. I have been an activist since the 60s. I have long felt that the greatest accomplishment/luck of my generation has been to build something that others have since built on. If I have played any part in what has nurtured this clear-minded comrade, I am very proud.

  • Excellently spoken. 2012 is shaping up to be a very interesting year. I'm glad we can finally say "I am a revolutionary" with a serious face again, like Paine, Marat, Marx, Zapata, Lenin and Durruti; without the ironic smirk which has dogged well-intention but impotent liberals since the 60's.

  • A positive message. See, we don't need corporate intermediaries to filter our message to the public. The age of the media as medium is ending.

  • Hooray! Timely, and will share.

  • I also see the criminalization of decent here in Canada. It is not just the US, it is world wide. And we all need each other and we all need to learn how to work. Here is Sudbury Ont had a great Occupy experience. The police treated us like allies because we knew we need them to understand and made the effort to talk with them. We treated them like the 99% because they are the 99% as well. Great vid and I support you in all your efforts to create a better world. Thank you!

  • You are amazing , keep up the good work.

  • this is the most unoriginal, overly exaggerated, and corniest video ever! this pretty white bitch is actually acting like the government is going to break down her door and lock her up. Also she just said with the most serious face ever " I am a revolutionary". I support occupy and I've been down to protest a couple times but hippies, extreme lefty's, and uneducated people who think their smart [ the girl in the video] are ruining the movement

  • @BuddyIStalking It's people like her who are educating those who degrade the occupy movement. The National Defense Authorization Act has the ability to "break down her door and lock her up." This girl even stood up for people like you who seem to have no true identity in the occupy movement. What was your purpose of occupying? This girl is SPEAKING FOR THE MOVEMENT.

And speaking of the uneducated, it's "lefties" not "lefty's" and "they're" not "their."

  • you should continue to fight for what you believe in! but just look at it from the other side to make sure that its being perceived the right way. good job :)

  • Im not against the movement, and im all for both sides speaking up. however. Anyone in the "99%" can move up in the social standing into the "1%" with hard work and determination. At its core occupy stands for good things, but it is clowded by all the zoned out hippies and homeless people. more power to the people along with equality for everyone doesnt go together. With more of one you get less of the other. So while this sounds good in theory it couldent possibly happen.

  • Comment removed

  • @dnnkbk It already happened. It was called the New Deal and it came about because of the labor movement's struggles against capital.

  • @dnnkbk no they cant you dumb ass they just want you to believe you can. In reality unless you come outwith a kick ass website or something of the sort you will forever be trapped in the 99%

  • @BuddyIStalking well you wont with your thinking that way. there are so many good examples of rags to riches. i could name a few if your too disconnected to realize.

  • Great video.. Solidarity <3

  • my thoughts exactly, sister. such an important letter with so many key points that need to be heard. solidarity. we are going to win our country back :)

  • Beautiful :)
