  • I totally get where Bianca is coming from. Anton keeps asking what she wants. What he wants is for him not to be asking that but doing something, it should be that Anton ACTUALLY wants to do something :)

  • Ludo fears no one, except his daughter. He made it clear that he will say nothing to Lucas and Edwin. Good idea, he knows the boys will shoot him down. As for Bianca, she is desperate. I really do get it. She wants her son back and she is trying to clean up the mess that Anton created. Janine has become a very protective mother. Which is great, but this is really Lucas' call to make on things. He knows how this is ripping Edwin up.

  • OR ELSE I'LL GET A PUNCH AS WELL? HAVE TO LOVE LUDO HERE :X

YEAH BIANCA WTF DO YOU WANT .. YOU GETTING ONG MY NERVES NOW .. IF YOU ONLY WANT EDWIN BCK YOU WOULDNT DO SO MUCH THING AFTERALL HE IS YOUR SON AND HE STILL LOVE YOUH AND THAT WONT CHANGE MUCH TOU ..

  • That that that person shouldn't be called 'father' by anyone!

Or human being for that matter..!! It's not blood that makes you father is everything else in between and what comes along!

So I can't agree with what Edwin says..

  • ludo is awesome...

  • im sorry but i agree with edwin. eventhough what anton did was disgusting and unforgivable hes still his father and hearing lucas' mother talk about him like that probably pisses him off. i know that if i was lucas i would help edwin. i would give him credit because no matter what anton is edwins father.

  • @hollisterhoney8944

    your right

  • Is it illogical that I think Anton's punishment should be being locked in a room with all us fangirls armed with metal bats? Because I think that is the perfect punishment for what he did :)

  • @IntrospectiveDebate you think just like me i love your idea for his punishment i think we could be besties

  • @IntrospectiveDebate Dont forgot us fanboys, we can slap the living shit out of him

  • @Delfire HAHaha oh wow, that would be hilarious, I wouldn`t mind seeing that...

  • Anton makes me sick, go away!

  • Anton should be put in prison

he is a danger to the ppl around him

  • That is so messed up that the only punishment that anton is going to get is 80 hours od community service. I mean for GOODNESS! He beat Lucas up! That was awful! Anton deserves much more than community service.

  • Bianca and Anton fucked with the wrong guy

  • Guess we found out a little of Anton's "History." Thanks for the upload with subtitles, appreciate it.

  • And for everyone who thinks Edwin is defending his father: i think he is confused. He has loved his father for 18 years now and he has always been a example for him. That love for his father is nog gone immediatly. He's having a hard time to, nog only Lucas! And by the way, Lucas is stronger than Edwin. That's why Lucas is supporting Edwin in stead of the other way around..

  • Too bad the conversation between Ludo and Maxime wasn't included here. It looked very intense, but I couldn't understand it since my dutch isn't good :(

  • @ahmad123987 Well, Maxime had already threatened to take everything away from Ludo (which then ended in Ludo shooting her) and she now once again had ammunition do renew that threat because of Biancas information.

She wants to take both Amy and Nina away from Ludo, since they mean the world to him and she blames Ludo for making sure her world is empty and child-less. Ludo answered by threatening the same back to her, declaring a war because that's what she apparently wanted..

  • @Scampiej Tx lots :)

  • 80 hours of community service! That's it!! A DOCTOR beats up a KID and he gets community service? whatever happened to i wanna save lives?

  • I think the guys are doing a great job at handling this situation. Poor Edwin is in such a quandry but, has to keep his head clear with the whole thing. It is a really tough position to be in. Lucas has to deal with his emotions about Anton and play it smart and not offend Ed as well. I think Ed knows how tough it is for Lucas. Now that the cat is out of the bag with Bianca's telling Maxime - should be interesting. Thanks, Mark!!

  • Although is very difficult for Edwin ..Anton is the father and is very sad to take sides especially when in a new and first relationship..still is not the right approach to beat

a person just for the sole purpose of not seen aye to aye on the matters of gays attraction

  • Wow! Ludo and Anton...Is the country that macho? They would get one good ass-whooping here in Québec!!!

  • Edwin and Bianca are in such an impossible situation here. I understand how at once they condemn Anton and at the same time inadvertently defend him, it's completely understandable. The thing that pisses me off the most is that Anton just doesn't give two shits about what he did. I can't freaking stand him.

  • I understand your family loyalty to your father Edwin, but don't make him out to be some kind of victim please.

  • I think Ludo and Bianca are going to have an affair.

  • @walkingkodi LOL how did you come up with that?

  • @09parisgirl Its kind of a magnatism they have when they have chatted alone and then maybe the easiest way for Ludo to get the upper hand over Anton. Ludo could use Bianca and drop her back into Anton's hands to show his superiority. Maybe its because when Nina finds out what Ludo did to Noud she will hate Ludo and he just wants vengenance of some sort.

  • @walkingkodi Funny how Ludo actually already did something similar once when someone hurt Nina. He decided to take everything of of the guy in question and that included his wife.

Seriously, those Sanders are messed up. Don't think Ludo will go this far now, since he was single then and he loves Janine too much to put his relationship at risk. But, if I were Bianca and Anton, I'd be afraid either way... Ludo is someone to be afraid of!

  • @Scampiej How about Anton and Maxime? Since Anton probably isn't getting much from Bianca... and Maxime would then try to blackmail Anton into helping her against Ludo... :-)

  • @purplelunatik Well, I cannot say I see that happen anytime soon. Maxime is way more manipulative than Ludo. She acts all kind and caring all the time and only shows her dark side when forced. Only Ludo and Janine have seen it so far, because she wants to enjoy watching Ludo squirm.

I think she'd rather use Bianca and Anton for information, sympathy and manipulate them against Ludo and Janine instead of tearing them apart and directly getting into the line of fire.

  • soap operea of not am i the only only one who thinks they are all acting like complete morons from anton to bianca to edwin? it's a terrible situation but DEAL WITH IT. all of this fence sitting is pissing me off, you can't date lucas but want your dad to get away with the crime and you can't think anton should be living some place else and want your son back but defend him. MAKE UP YOUR MINDS

  • Yeah. Don't mess with Ludo.

  • You know, i actually think Anton has it easy, because if it was a girl he beat up, he would have been in jail and there would be none of this back and forth conversation of whether he should apologize or not. But because he beat up a guy, its being treated with less of an urgency. [Not saying that they're disregarding the situation], but I'm just saying, he needs to realize that what he did was COMPLETELY and UTTERLY disgusting...

  • I simply adore the ominous music that accompanies Ludo when he enters the room!

And no, Anton, I don't think you will be punching Ludo. Anton, your son leaving a violent situation is not running away, it is putting space. Second, the ONLY way for the situation to be solved is NOT by Edwin returning. It is going to take time and change on your part, you cannot force this. And I think poor Bianca has made a mistake in talking about their secret.

  • I'm glad Janine apologized to Edwin!

  • @09parisgirl I am too, it shows so much motherly character! She really puts her son first and realizes that what Lucas needs now is for her to help him support Edwin, while her motherly instinct is to help Lucas overcome being beat up and to hunt after Anton.

Wish Bianca would learn something from that and checks her own priorities. Edwin also needs his mothers support, but she is currently more busy trying to instant-fix her family..

  • @Scampiej You know what? I never looked at it like that but you're right. Bianca is sort of choosing Anton over Edwin although to her defense I suppose she sees these two (plus Sjoerd) as one entity: not Ediwn or Anton but one family, which she desperately wants to hold together.

  • @09parisgirl I agree with your defence. I think she actually thinks that when they get back together everything will magically fall back into place. Just like Anton thinks it will.

Problem is that it will never get back to the way it was. Not just because Anton beat up Lucas, but because Anton needs to accept that his son is gay. They cannot simply go back to the family they were before and pretend nothing changed. Bianca needs to realize she cannot force a fix and start by supporting her son.

  • @Scampiej True. I was coming from the angle that when you're in a marriage/family you stick together as a team & put up a front against the outside world (that sounds like I'm talking about war, LOL) to sort out your conflicts internally, but there is always a point where you have to show flag. The way Anton is acting (not acknowledging his gigantic mistake) he forces Bianca into making decisions for him.

  • @09parisgirl Completely agree. Anton is making it impossible for Bianca because he refuses to see what he did and keeps on thinking that everything (and Edwin) will come back to normal.

And indeed Bianca acts the way she does because she just wants to fix her family. But Bianca needs to realize she can't fix it over night and not at all with Antons current position. So, she should start by making Edwin her first priority and telling Anton she can't help him when he doesn't realize what he did!

  • drama drama ¬!!!!!!!

  • "Do you realize that it's your problem that I'm solving here?" WTG, Bianca

Did Jack actually ever talk to Lucas and Edwin?

Bianca is so torn between two men she loves, but she really does need to get Anton to move out, or she'll never see Edwin come home again. She has to make a decision.

  • I think Janine has ever right to say what she feels its her house. She mad that Anton just got 80 days of community service for beating up her son.Edwin is getting on my nerves he keeps defending his father over and over .What about Lucas why doesn't Edwin asked him how he really feels.I feel a big war going to happen with the Sanders and Bouwhuis.

  • @ludwinlunatics That would be good, though it would put Lucas and Edwin right in the middle.

  • If Janine could convince the judge to give Anton the punishment he deserves... .She would have him doing his community service handing out "Safe sex" information on one of Lucas' gay nights at the club. It is but a dream, but I would love it!!! Especially if he accidentally handed one to Edwin. :)

    What do you guys think?

    Cheers and Good on ya.....;)

  • @vidvip it would be awesome! :D

  • I think Bianca's character is quite realistic. She's lovesand cares about everyone and tries to do good whenever and whereever she can. But, when it comes to her family she wears rose colored glasses. She knows how volatile Anton's temper is and knows that Sjoerd is just like him. You'd think she would have tried to do something with Sjoerd at least, try to get him help with his anger, but she looks the other way. Many people IRL are like that when it comes to their own family.

  • Edwin is starting to get on my nerve! When you're not allowed to be yourself, it's the equivalent to a prison or a hell. That is all his bigot father has to offer. STAY IN HELL!

  • The fact is, Bianca took a misstep out of her radiance of righteous perfection when she took her anger out on Ludo instead of her husband. And no one should be able to punish Anton more than he is punishing himself right now. Oh, is that not happening? It's time for jail.

  • Anton committed a crime, and, now what? Unbelievable! Scary!

  • Oooh first time seeing Ludo mad and it was damn satisfying.

  • Man Bianca, just now you realize Anton's history of punching people might tell you something about him?

  • When Lucas was attack the first time the men went to jail. They were not wealthy just common workers. Anton is a doctor so his punishment is community service. I wonder if it would have been the same if wife and son were not there and he killed Lucas. We in this era think it okay for people to beat up gay people like they are not human being. But eventually something is going to happen that will cause this world to wake up and mine their own business. Hurting someone is never okay.

  • @abolden Here in Austin there was a terrible hate crime downtown. 2 boys were leaving a celebration of their gay baseball team. They were attacked by idiots as they were walking together. Practically the ENTIRE TOWN came to their aid. We held a massive, diverse march. T-shirts of their team were sold & all the money went to them. They were so grateful,& got well. Everyone was shocked b/c we're known as liberal,tolerant...You just have to stay on top of homophobia-or it springs back up,I think.

  • Bianca is starting to frustrate me too, she seems so blind when it comes to her family, she should have confronted Anton's (and Sjoerd's for that matter) violent tendancies long ago. Sent them to anger management or something instead of pretending that everything was perfect.

Anton is not learning what he did was wrong as long as she lets him stay, she needs to make him understand what he did is unnacceptable.

  • 80 hours of community service! People get more here for littering. It's just insulting and I am disappointed in Edwin.

I don't think Lucas' maturity is an overnight thing. I think he'll still be a diva and self centered about the small things, like parties, but I think he's dealt with the big things well in the past too.

  • I seriously love you Mark, you have no idea.

I am actually surprised Lucas is acting so strong, I mean its the second time he's gotten beaten up because of his orientation, the first time he was petrified and this one would arguably have a more scaring affect because it was by someone he knew.

And I'm still missing Nucas, I would have thought that they would be in bed watching films together and bitching about their injuries to each other, thats what best friends would do in this situation.

  • @Janeyyy94 Soap writers have VERY short memory! A year back is for them an eternity so they forgot that Noud and Lucas were once best friends! Only the present storylines are important back history almost never is unless it fits into the present storyline like Amy's mother coming back to give Ludo Sander a new forgotten daughter!

  • @MirkodiWallenberg I know it pisses me off, I loved their friendship. I hate how when people start relationships in soaps they often forget about their friends and just spend all their time with lovers, I know thats where all the drama is for us to watch but still its unrealistic.

  • I'm frustrated—but not surprised—by Anton's likely sentence not because I'm vindictive but because he needs far more to realize what a terrible thing he did to brutalize someone for being who they are. Imo, Anotn committed assault & battery & a hate crime.

I'm also frustrated AND surprised by people commenting, because I've been talking about an appropriate sentence for several episodes now—namely, 5 years in prison & loss of his license to practice medicine—& have gotten almost no response.

  • @alwaysuseless I agree with assault & battery + hate crime. I'm not sure about the 5 years prison because I think there should be a difference between premeditated and not (strangers who beat-up the first gay they see should get more jail time). Also, the question is 'punishment' version 'solution'. I agree with some punishment + some therapy that will change Anton. And at minimum a suspended license until end of jail+therapy. How did Ste stop beating Amy on Hollyoaks and REALLY change?

  • @purplelunatik Assault & battery with the aggravation of being a hate crime yields a serious sentence even on a first offense. After serving a year or so, he might be eligible for parole, depending on how his therapy is going. Anton needs both jail time AND therapy.

I don't watch Hollyoaks, precisely because of the character Ste.

  • @alwaysuseless I'm not sure about the jail sentences in my country but I sometimes wish parole didn't exist.

I rarely watch Ste/Brendan because I find it to hard (and incomprehensible to a certain extent). I didn't know about Ste and Amy until recently so I'm wondering about the psychological explanations for Ste's turnaround (...I know ... it's just a soap...).

  • @purplelunatik I haven't researched this, but... The possibility of parole motivates some prisoners to clean up their act & seriously pursue training, education &/or therapy. It can also save the state a lot of money. I think it generally shortens one's stay in prison by no more than half.

I see from your channel that you're from the fictional town of Meerdijk, Canada. That must be a sister city to the one in the Netherlands. ㋡

  • @alwaysuseless I was under the impression that paroles were practically automatic after less than 25% of sentence... just an impression... and yes, both Meerdijk, Netherlands and Meerdijk, Canada are virtually sisters! (but the latter is closer to Montreal :-)

  • @alwaysuseless Obviously, that last question about Ste has nothing to do with hate crimes. I was just wondering about punishment and/or treatment? About Anton, maybe some people think they're not homophobic as long as they tolerate anything/anyone which is "not in their backyard". I notice Anton's "aggression issue" is generalized (against friends or other men who anger him...according to Bianca's comments) He really needs therapy...

  • Oh Edwin, I know you're confused about how the loving father you've come to known could be this violent and narrow minded but he is the sooner you've come to accept this the sooner you're going to think of ways to help him with his problem. You should be taking care of Lucas because if you had reacted fast maybe it wouldn't be this complicated at all. But instead its Lucas who's taking care of you and defending you with his family who accepts you!

  • @clazarcon I am on the complete same page as you! I just fear that this is where the maturity difference between Lucas & Edwin comes out.

We got to know Lucas as a spoiled childish brat, but he recently matured a lot and was able to put his partners need in front of his own, a very grown up thing to do. However, I am wondering how Edwin will react when Lucas cannot deny his need for support anymore and Edwin needs to do the same..

  • @Scampiej I think the relationship between Ludwin will make them mature because although we love all the good stuffs something bad happen wherein it directly involves Anton beating up Lucas. I'm sure there will be other episodes that Ed will defend his father but I really hope it doesn't come between them. I mean Ed should realize that the more their family supports Anton the less he's going to deal with his problem. I guess they should let him live away from them for some time to THINK!

  • I really admire Janine, if only she can do everything so that her children will be happy and safe. As for Bianca, yes of all people Maxime you choose her.... You wat things to be normal how when your husband wouldn't even admit that he has a problem and that its ruining not only family but other family as well... There will never be an excuse for beating someone up!

  • Spunky Ludo.

    I like.

  • Anyone that commits a VIOLENT crime should do mandatory confinement. It's underlying aggression issues. My dad was 6'3 - 235 lbs. ex army, boxer, (war) veteran and trained in hand to hand. When I brought my first lover home, I sat on one end of the couch he sat at the other, until my Dad walked over - looked me str8 in the eye and asked, "I thought you liked this guy? When I was your age, I was all over your mom. I thought I taught you to always be true to yourself." No one JUST snaps.

  • @frozenbaby2004 I like your story! Your dad really loves you! You're really lucky! I'd love to have parents as sweet as yours!

  • @frozenbaby2004 your dad sounds awesome.

  • i do not understand all that hatred towards Anton, yes he's wrong so wrong, but i just thought that us Gay were better then that.OUR strength lies in our power of forgivness.

  • @cyryac Don't tell anyone, but I've already forgiven him. Nevertheless, he'll never grasp what a terrible thing he did unless he spends time in jail. Until he experiences remorse for beating up someone because they're gay, he has no chance of becoming fully human.

  • Ugh, what the hell is wrong with Edwin? I understand it's your father and all, but come on! And I don't know why, but I'm more excited about the car accident story at this point right now.

  • @Raiden255 Yes, the car accident—yawn! I guess one person's excitement is another's nap time. But maybe Anton can get some jail time for lying about that? He so needs and deserves some time behind bars.

  • could Anton going to jail solve the the problem? i think not, because edwin would stand by his father.i believe that Janine should back off and understand that the worst punishment for Anton his to lose the love of his son.Only Edwin can win this battle by making it clear to his father that he's not a little kid anymore, that he has grown and that he is in control of his feelings. i don't think Anton is homophobic,he is just a man that wanted a perfect son.

  • @cyryac So Anton thinks that being gay is less than being perfect, but he's not homophobic. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be offensive, but you might want to rethink that.

  • @alwaysuseless listen i'm gay and i think that the fault doesn't stand on our parents but on a society that has for far too long tried to cement by hatred.

  • @cyryac I'm gay too, and I just don't comprehend your statement that Anton is not homophobic. Everything can be blamed on society rightly or wrongly. In any case, people still need to be held accountable for their actions and know that they will be. At this point, Anton has no remorse and even thinks he's not homophobic.

  • @cyryac What! Of course these type of things are constructs of society, everything in that sense is. It's still homophobia and Anton is responsible for his actions. In fact if society does nothing to punish him it's as if it silently accepts what he's done.

  • @JessieBanana Yes-And did it cross your mind that he might turn on Bianca? If my spouse acted that way,I'd wonder if I was next.-He scares me. But he'd be out on his feckin' ass long before then,as I'm a Scots-Irish mom haha Bianca-a hug is sweet, but don't be an idiot! I also wonder what Maxime will do next?! LOL-delicious!

  • and then again if you are gay, you would know this. what were your dreams? to live a NORMAL life a PERFECT life be a PERFECT son. all of it went to the loo when you realise you were GAY. So like me you figth for the world to realise that we are NORMAL ?PERFECT? SO give the man a chance so his as confused as you were once.

  • Bianca is so naive, she really annoys me

  • One clap here, one punch there and a few verbal shots. He needs therapy. And Sjoerd also I fear.

His voice makes me aggressive. Not a bit guilt in his expression. Just this: You don't understand me. And: Lucas thinks only that he is gay.

  • Welcome in Holland, you can practically kill someone and after a couple of years jail you're back home... How is this in other countrys?

  • @8t806R Same here in Germany! Unless you get after so-called preventive detention in a closed psychiatric Klinik. You will locked away until you die. But it is comfortable, because clinic, no prison !

  • 80 hrs of community service! That's outrageous. And Anton doesnt seem to care about what he's done ... Thanks for the upload and the subtitles

  • @pripropra1 haha--that's 80 hrs + LUDO breathing down his neck!- Instant karma!

  • @skyemcleod1 LOL I agree!

  • Nina is right, Anton is sick and he doesn't deserve a cute son like Edwin and an amazing wife like Bianca. I agree with Janine, 80 hours of community service is ridiculous for beating up Lucas. It was an homophobic agression and such an agression should be punished by some times in jail ! I understand that Edwin is confused but he can't defend his father like that. Anyway Lucas is adorable as always <3

  • Thankx for this clip Mark!

Love the way this story is unfolding. No cliche's here. Nothing we've seen a million times. Love badass honey badger, Ludo! LOL FTW!

It's so nice that Janine has no problem allowing Edwin to stay & help take care of Lucas .I'd be the exact same way with my son-& have been. when you're in love, you just want your lover there for you.

The boys have a sweet relationship.

  • @skyemcleod1 I knew this was your comment halfway through before I got to your name. I'm glad you're here.

  • I can already imagine all the drama that will soon unfold. I hope their love will survive.

  • Aww Nina.. )':

  • @arrystarlvuv Don't worry, Wiet is already getting on Noud's last nerve. THAT relationship isn't going to go anywhere. :)

  • However, I think it'll be extra hard for Edwin to be there when Lucas starts needing him, since he's got no back up at all.. His father is an ass who avoids taking responsibility and his mother isn't putting her son's needs in first place.

Bianca, learn something from Janine. She is able to put her anger against Anton aside (at least in front of Edwin), because she knows that's what her son needs her to do! I can understand where Bianca comes from, but she is letting her son down, BIG TIME!

  • Bianca is just OWNING this whole situation!

  • @TrGreaves2090 Specially the actress, the best among them all by far IMO

  • @sanyrub yeah that's who I really mean..the ACTRESS who plays Bianca is doing a great job! :)

  • I feel sorry for Lucas. His boyfriend is in such a messed up situation that he, the one who got beat up, actually needs to take care of him and put his own stuff aside. And he even needs to let the only one truly on his side, his mother, know to back up to give Edwin some room..

I hope Edwin is able to do the same for Lucas soon, since I think that Lucas' fears & feelings will come out sooner or later and he'll need Edwin to be there for him then!

  • @Scampiej Why do you feel sorry for Lucas? That is how a relationship works, you have to take care of each other. And we have to remember that Anton still is Edwin's father. Edwin doesn't defend his father - he literally said that he hated him - he is just struggling with his feelings towards his father.

  • @ondoordachtheid I agree that is what relationships are about and I am observing that Lucas has really matured that he got that and is currently supporting Edwin in his struggles (I agree with you on that too)!

But, we shouldn't forget that Lucas was brutally attacked by his boyfriends' father! That leaves marks too, even if he wants to be strong for Edwin right now. I think those repressed feelings will surface eventually, and he'll be the one that needs to be taken cared of.

  • @Scampiej I whole-heartedly agree! Lucas did a wonderful job in putting Edwin's feelings first for now 'cause he knows Edwin's in a dilemma trying to be objective. I understand that Ed doesn't want to take sides, especially since taking sides would mean breaking not only with his father but also with his mother who is still married to Anton. Janine is very selfish & childish here. Of course she defends her son, but she can't expect Edwin to pick a side. He's part of both worlds (Lucas & family)!

  • I really want to see Anton and Ludo go at it...That would be quite entertaining!

  • I am Glad Edwin doesn't get too mad at Janie. I mean in the end she did appologise but it could have gone worse.

I really feel bad for Edwin.. first of all dealing with a Father who has given the image of being a hero in his eyes are now diluted and creates more issues in his brain but .. it is still his father.
