The headmaster did not shoot the guy. Jimmy committed suicide and Dan shot Keith who is his brother because he thought Keith tried to kill him by druging him and setting his car dealership on fire. But we would find out the truth later on as to who tried to kill him.

This has been stated before, welcome to existence was a line from the song that I liked and basically saying welcome to the world we now live in where kids are taking guns to school and killing innocent people as well as themselves for all sorts of reason which we will never understand. @mulihelu01 That degrassi episode is my favourite Degrassi episode, they really did a great job on it, by putting the emphasis on the effect it has on everyone, and not on the violence. Same with this one. Also, by portraying Jimmy on here and Rick on Degrassi as humans who were pushed and snapped it shows that the people who do this aren't always monsters (people think of Columbine where the two shooters had it planned for over a year). This episode was also well done.

Jimmy was one of the river court boys and Mouth's commentary partner. Dan killed Keith coz he thought Keith try to kill him in the dealership fire but it was Dan's wife (or ex-wife) Deb who tried to kill him so he killed his brother for no reason.
