it should be used to set yoor own player model, or change the models of props not npcs

the model needs valve bones,so it can do the animations like shoot and run ect.

i think a few models out there like osama bin laden have valve bones in them.if you get good with models maybe you could give the models you like valve bones.

you have to be looking at something like a prop or ragdoll. Dunno why though. Gmod's fault :P

So just right click on the prop/ragdoll and press R while looking at it

That means you tried to set your model to a ragdoll. Ragdolls don't come with animations for player use built-in, so they assume their default position.
