I'm from NYC & they did a fairly decent job of showing life. One MAJOR mistake is that New York City is one of the MOST forgiving cities for self-defense.

We know this is a movie - but New Yorkers understand having to defend ones self.

The character development is starting to drop due to many "outside-issues".
