  • Absolutely brilliant video, especially the last scene! Viele Grüsse aus Sevilla ;) xxx

  • the peep show is great UK telly i love uk sitcoms! americans programmes tend to be really shit in my opinon

  • Hawaii Five-O

  • doctor who, modern family, misfits

  • Eastenders...

  • Game of Thrones is my favorite show.

  • Doctor who!

  • 0:31 made me laugh.

  • NCIS, Bones, was getting into Pushing Daisies when they yanked it.

  • sounding a bit like Emma Watson???? ;) love the video's, you are hilarious :D xxx

  • Gilmore Girls!

  • Bones! They eat in every episode X)

  • misfits! robert sheehan is my life

  • Pushing Daisies was really cute, but cheesy. only two seasons. Dead Like Me was pretty good too, i have no idea why, but it was sort of addicting. regularly i watch The Office [although it's not as funny as it used to be] and Gossip Girl [the drama is ridiculous]

  • I love you

  • This is great!! Happy New Year and all good wishes to you too. My favourite TV Show is a new one actually that was released last year called Sherlock! It's so epically amazing. Even if there is only 3 episodes in the first series, I was blown away by how real the writers have made the plot lines, the characters, sets etc and how closely they have stuck to the original Conan Doyle stories whilst adding a new spin to them to create a thoroughly modern, awesome new adaptation.

  • You always make me smile. :)

  • again this is so brilliant hah :)

  • @vampiricle Very true indeed. I do think that they have cast Eric perfectly with Alexander Skarsgard....so yummy. hehe.

  • glad that you had a great christmas! :)

As for your question, my favourite show is kinda a tie. My favourite Brit show has gotta be "Primeval" (and I'm soooooo glad it's finally back from hiatus!) and, well, I'm Canadian so I'm gonna pick "Lost Girl" as my fav instead of an American show -- hope that's okay? ...... Can you tell I'm a fantasy/sci-fi fan? lol

  • Good to see you home, hope you've had a great Christmas and New Year. Things to watch are Misfits, Fringe (I haven't seen it yet), 30 Rock, Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives... the list goes on :) x

  • oh iv missed you laura! you are my only subscription so it comes up when i log on and i couldn't resist watching your lovely face! haha

see you in three days waheyyyyyyy x

  • @vampiricle OMG I love them! I totally agree, why stray from such a great story? Ugh.

  • Well, I watch Neighbours, so I know what you mean. I would give anything to eat the cake they have at Harold's Store

Also, I love the face you always make when you play a guy character XD

  • My LEAST favourite is 90210, even though I always seem to flick onto it! The love stories aren't even captivating or romantic, there was one scene with a guy and girl sat in a football stadium all alone talking about the girl's grandparents dying and then straight after he said he reaaally really wanted to kiss her... there was no romance up until then, where did that come from?! Oh yes, his willyyyy!

  • MISFITS!!!!!!!!!

  • @IziiBee i love misfits, its like heroes would have been if it accepted that most people would have fairly shit powers, and just use them pretty well(eg milk guy).

besides, any show that can come up with "monkeyslut" as a password is genius!

  • Beautifully insane :)

  • @vampiricle If you like Tru Blood, you should read the books! They're SO much better! And Doctor Who=LOVE OF MY LIFE!

  • Not a soap fan but I loved LOST when it was on. But I love me some Doctor Who and The Tudors on Showtime. American sitcoms can be quite good from time to time as well. Like How I Met Your Mother or Big Bang Theory. I think you'd like Big Bang Theory, it makes a lot of references that we nerds enjoy.

  • haha well maybe you should just try out some German soaps, they have a lot of them too :D

  • FREAKS AND GEEKS :D It's the most awesome thing ever

  • The commercials are timed to occur at exactly the moments Jack Bauer needs to use the bathroom... or at least that's what I'd like to believe. :D

  • i found the why arent they eating bit funny.

also, i went to a coffee shop recently with someone and it was ok, but then we finished our stuff, and i was thinking umm okay now we have nothing and are still sitting here, are we allowed to still be sitting here, would it be rude to suggest we leave or somthing why are we still here

  • doctor who <3

  • I do the same thing, getting distracted by stuff that doesn't matter to the plot and whatever. Like the other day on an ep of Star Trek TNG there was a rift in subspace and it made this gigantic beautiful swirly purple hole right next to the Enterprise and they go to Ten Forward to talk about whatever and there are all these people in there, int he background, just talking, having romantic suppers or whatever, and there through the giant glass was the rift. LOOK OUT THE FREAKING WINDOW WHAT!

  • Doctor Who!! But i also loved Buffy :)

  • I get really annoyed when people don't eat the food that they just ordered too! Especially when they order something don't eat any of it and then leave.

  • Gilmore Girls and Doctor Who :)

  • I haven't laughed out loud on a youtube video in SO long! amazing. Did you get a new camera too?

  • Doctor Who!

  • One Tree Hill :)

  • Glee!

  • Leverage... Is like te british hustle but way more fun!

  • moar bubbles plz?

  • House... although it doesn't have that realistic aspect... still love it.

  • Of course I had a wonderful Christmas. Don't you remember that time spent together at the Christmas market?! Did those glasses of mulled wine mean NOTHING to you!?

  • DOCTOR WHO <3

  • Gavin and Stacey! It does just that, it's very realistic and does the day to day things (half an episode if filled up with ordering a Chinese). But most importantly it's HILARIOUS :')

  • Skins, misfits and True blood :)

  • Doctor Who is an amazing show but my all time favourite HAS to be The IT Crowd xD

  • skins and misfits !

  • Also, I'm in love with your editing-style. If you could tell it I'm a great guy or an astronaut or something, ask if it'd be interested, that'd be awesome.

  • I'm mainly coping with the combined Dexter/Doctor Who (ironic...) addiction right now, but as a guilty pleasure I'll hit up Castle once in a while. I'm gonna put in another vote for Firefly, btw, as well as Arrested Development, which might be a comedic form of what you're looking for, and which is one of the best shows I've ever seen.

  • Watched 24 series 7 with parents in only two days and i loved it :P Don't normally like watching soaps and tv series because they take up so much time.

  • Peep Show, Still Game, Rab C Nesbitt

  • Doctor Who, Glee and The Simpsons :)

  • Doctor who and the Big bang theory!!! truely epic, happy new year :) oh and new years resolution, no pizza!!!

  • Doctor Who, Grey's anatomy, british detectives XD

  • You might like Tenko- its an early 80's World War II series about women in a Japanese prison, and its slightly soap, slightly stagey and theatrical, it's got elements of female cattiness, includes eating and body function material to give it that realistic feel, but also has period details and intelligent writing.

My other favourite shows are Doctor Who, Dawson's Creek, Buffy, Captain Scarlet, Odyssey 5, Dirty Pair(anime), Evangelion(anime)

This is England 86 was also good but kinda upsetting.

My other favourite shows are Doctor Who, Dawson's Creek, Buffy, Captain Scarlet, Odyssey 5, Dirty Pair (Anime) Evangelion (also Anime).

  • I hate soaps. They're so unrealistic; and the fact that some people care so much about them, like almost act as if they're real really annoys me

  • Im sorry but, I can't stand soaps. It's just the level of acting, it grates my brain.

  • I like british soaps but american ones are better for the reasons you mentioned, I prefer american :D

  • I'm kind of like that with movies, in that if the slutty girl and the slutty boy get together, what the hell do they talk about? They have no personality between them and can't spend every minute of the day having sex, so what conversations happen in between?

As for my favourite show, it's either Doctor Who or Daria.

  • I don't have one particular favourite program but the ones I do love are Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes, Misfits, Supernatural and Primeval. My taste basically revolve around British TV.

  • Urrmmm... Doctor Who, but although that's British and not American, they don't deal with normal stuff like going to the bathroom. Admittedly, they do sometimes eat...

  • Spaced and Firefly

  • I'm in love with Sci-Fi Saturday on the BBC :)

Other than that, I'd have to say Glee and supernatural

  • I think she has dilated eyes lol, they're huge.

  • I'm American and actually all of my favorite TV shows (besides Glee) are British dramas/scifis (like skins, doctor who, misfits, and nearly famous)

  • I'm American and we only get American shows here :[.

  • you are too cute. and so are your videos.

  • Jack Bauer actually eats on an episode from one of the early seasons. He was actually kinda wolfing it down, it was pretty awesome.

  • hold on while I go watch the top related video called "Lesbian Kiss. Brookside Full Scene."

ok, I'm back, that was awkward.

  • living in america, i have no idea what you're talking about when you mean your soaps. :D

but my favorite tvshows vary from season to season, and its winter now, so i guess house, bones, glee, supernatural , las vegas, and... snl.

  • My favorite shows seem to be ones that are off the air now. Absolutely LOVE Arrested Development (American) and Monk (American), but I just started to watch Spaced (British) and I really like it :).

  • If you think American shows are missing out on the day to day things, try Japanese dramas D8 they're literally 10 episodes long or less LOL. My favorite shows would have to be Merlin (BBC) House MD, Supernatural (both American) then there's Zeni Geba, Nagareboshi and Buzzer Beat (Japanese) If a show is unrealistic and cliche, i wouldn't watch it XD and no, i don't love you D: AWKWARD XD

  • MISFITS is my fav! As a Canadian, I can honestly say I LOVE THE BBC. I love Doctor who, skins, being human, IT crowd, the list goes on!

  • Dexter. forever. dexter.

  • Too many shows to name, from England, America and Japan (Oh and to be honest I do enjoy me some Aussie soaps like Neighbours and Home and Away too).

I think I've just come up with a NYR I can keep, I'm going to watch every video you put out this year :p

  • Have you tried Firefly? It's one of my all time favorite shows and I think it's one of the best things that's ever been on TV. One of the many reasons I love it is that it balances reality and entertainment value. It's really funny and it's got amazing, dramatic story lines, but it's also kinda gritty. The characters eat, sleep, pee, get sick and encounter practical problems that are woven right in with the more traditionally compelling parts of the show.

  • @MoonheartOfTheTribe Firefly ROCKS! :-)

  • @MoonheartOfTheTribe That will be because Joss Whedon wrote it :') Gotta love anything by him.

  • Doctor Who! :D And just a question, where does the name of this video come from?

  • fantastic

  • Doctor Who! That's my favorite, but I love "Ugly Betty," "Modern Family," "Glee," "Greek." I liked watching "Grease: The School Musical" too.

  • Oh Jack Bauer. My mom and I love to say, "Sorry, I have to go." In his gruff voice, just to amuse us.

My favorite shows are Doctor Who, Bones (american...like me), Psych (american), and Chuck (american).

  • Loved the little message at the end :) your videos are such bliss to watch

  • monarch of the glen :))

    lolz.

    supernatural

  • I find it's the other way around for me. I'm Canadian and all my favourite shows are British. I love Doctor Who :)

  • If you were in a British sitcom, I would love to watch it XD

  • The O.C! They play computer games, eat bagels and most importantly, they pee.

  • Yes! I agree, why don't television characters ever lay in bed all day and watch bones just and eat chocolate just because they have nothing else to do? They're only lazy when something is wrong! That's not real life, I'm lazy all the time!

  • What about Doctor Who? British, streamlined, PERFECT. :D

Plus Matt Smith is super dreamy.

  • Yay Laura's back! Glückliches neues Jahr : )

  • Greys Anatomy and Doctor Who make a joint first for me

  • I'm not really bothered that tv-series that lack the "realistic" parts, Like going to the loo or what ever.. But that dose bother me in books. I "love" how some of the most epic tales have characters that you follow for years yet not once have they expressed the discomfort of really needing to go to the loo or brushing their teeth.. Oh and favourite series.. From american television probably Fringe. From British tv it HAS to be Merlin, from asia I like Mary Stayed Out All Night (Korean)

  • Always enjoying watching you Laura!

  • The Big Bang Theory.

  • Doctor Who rocks my socks. and i'm american... lol

    :)

  • Problem is, you have to keep finishing the joke for the Americans!

  • oh my goodness 0:31 <3

  • I think your amazing its just that upward thing you do with your voice at the end of your sentences which gets me every time lol

  • Hollyoaks (as a soap) favourite moment.. Gilly has is drunk in the SU bar... there are 8 empty pint glasses in front of him... Lazy bar staff!

but i love HOUSE and How i met your mother

  • HEROES was the best in season 1

  • LOL brilliant as always :D x

  • America has some pretty terrible soaps as well. Like, awful.

  • Doctor who!

  • Merry xmas & Happy New Year Laura!

and best TV show = HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER!!!

  • I like Top Gear. Man-children behaving the way they do is very soothing for frayed nerves, especially with some knitting.

  • what foundation do you use? looks good

  • I've been an anti-soap person all my life, but then I started watching coronation street because of the lesbian story line and it has really helped me understand my own situation better and given me the courage to admit to people around me that Im gay too. so that's been a plus for soaps. Other than that Veronica Mars was the most amazing and overlooke TV show, I miss it =( P.s Your videos are amazing!

  • skins ftw.

  • HAH. Random nerd moment, but in the books that trueblood was based on, "The Sookie Stackhouse novels", Sookie consistently had problems with her menstrual cycle. Well... maybe not consistently, but it was TOTALLY a factor.

    Just sayin'. :)

  • DOCTOR WHO!!! :D

  • I used to watch Eastenders, then I noticed that the story lines went on for months and months and everyone was depressed and angry 24/7. then started watching Hollyoaks which was slightly more cheery and they actually got on with things and sorted problems quickly. But stopped watching that too cos i didn't have time lol. Now i'm all for Desperate Housewives, 90210 etc. (and Friends obviously). :)

  • The West Wing :-)

    (Welcome home)

  • I really like "The Big Bang Theory". :) I think you would like it too!

  • GLEE! ;D

And I wish we had Doctor Who in Germany. Seriously, I can't stand the german soaps. The bad music in the five rooms they play in is killing me. American TV shows all the way. :)

  • doctor who misfits father ted

are three of my favourite tv shows

  • omg, people in British tv use the bathroom? all the British stuff i watch is doctor who and skins, thats terrific!

  • FAMILY GUY!!!

  • I have those mugs! DO YOU HAVE THE MATCHING BOWLS?

  • Happy New Year!

  • Funny you said American shows have 'great storylines' etc. cuz I actually find British ones more entertaining. Mostly cause they are more reliable - you expect solid quality work and usually you're not disappointed (depends what you watch). Am. shows are mostly annoyingly predictable and uneven.

I love the everyday of British shows, it gives them more credibility.

I absolutely love Doctor Who, Misfits, Skins (seasons 1,2). Among American ones Sons of Anarchy and Supernatural are my picks.

  • @MrsWickedSPN You basically took the words out of my mouth.

  • YES! When they don't eat, never need the loo and never get a cold. Or sneeze. Driving without looking at the road is by far the most frustrating!

  • i love corrie haha, grown up with it I guess XD

  • EastEnders - Ronnie just swapped her dead baby for a living one...

I'm not sure our soaps are that realistic.

Although, if you watch EastEnders, you might disagree. But if you've been listening to the radio and watching the news, you can see all the controversy that EastEnders has caused.

    It's crazy.

  • i like youtube better than tv. i think people here are more realistic and more fun to watch than the people on tv :) but i like funny shows like friends, the office, mr. bean( yeah mr. bean he's the best!) etc.

  • It´s American but Parenthood is great ;)

  • I´m addicted to glee, gossip girl, vampire diaries, chuck and pretty little liars :D

  • My mother had me watch Desperate Housewives with her the other night. After one of the wives cheated on her husband with another guy who broke up with her because he was actually in love with her neighbor who had the wife's husband's baby, I left the room... never to watch the TV show again.

I love Dexter. That's by far the best show.

  • The Wire. I think it might be what you're looking for. The greatest plot lines and drama I've ever seen, but it's certainly not clean and easy and it's full of little quirks that make the characters seem like actual people. I really would encourage you and anyone else to watch it, or just to search reviews of it on Google. Best money I ever spent on some TV DVDs without a doubt.

  • COMPLETELY AGREEEEEE. im american and enjoy birtish television waaaaayyy more.

  • I agree with you Laura!!! Haha, do you watch True Blood? That one is my favorite XD I do love how there's supercool people like Bill and Sookie mixed in with the amazingly normal townspeople like Mrs. Fortenberry and Andy Bellefleur

  • Favourite show is either Sherlock or Doctor Who.

  • I really really enjoy watching Supernatural. It's about two totally hot brothers and they hunt for the supernatural! :D Most people I know say it's scary, but I don't think it's scary at all!

But other favourites are Doctor Who, Bones, Sherlock, Medium, Fringe and Glee. Oh, and the Big Bang Theory. ♥

  • Seinfeld.

  • Hope you had a great new years too and all the best! x.

  • Doctor Who!

An almost slick and smooth English show with some of the silly bits in it :P

Not exactly what you said would be your perfect show but I can't get enough of it XD

  • misfits :) they have really realistic characters!

  • I love How I met your mother, and frohes neues to you too!

  • gavin & stacey!

  • Criminal Minds and Sherlock. I love crime mysteries!

  • DOWNTON ABBEY :D But y'know...Balamory too of course...

  • My favorite show is Doctor Who :-)

  • house is like vicodin to me.

  • seinfeld was a little bit realistic though its American !

  • house and the new doctor who (I've only seen a small part of the old series but they seem to old school for me) i also adored Kyle XY but they fraking canceled it :/

  • My favourites are Misfits and Being Human. Great storylines, british and quite realistic (well, food, drink and loowise anyway...) :D

  • Smallville is probably my favourite along with Scrubs excluding season 9 =)

  • My favourite show is LOST :D its amazing! i remember characters needing the toilet twice in six series... I see what you mean!

  • How Not To Live Your Life!

    Shameless!

    Black Books!

    :D

  • Well, it's weird. I generelly like American TV more.. but I think I'm going to like Misfits more than Heroes (eventhough I liked the first season of Heroes).

  • you'll love friends then

they actually say that they need to pee

  • Coupling, Red Dwarf, Buffy, Family Guy, so pretty much out there shows with some element of realism...even Family Guy.

  • i hate it when im watching tv the character is driving BUT NOT LOOKING AT THE BLOODY ROAD!

  • You're beautiful.

  • I don't watch much TV but House is awesome :)

  • Awesome video! The bit about soaps was completely true, they do get a bit repetitive. Happy new year!

  • I don't understand why characters order food and drink, get a phonecall, and then leave! I'm like, 'You paid for that!' - American TV is better, with the exception of a few BBC comedies of course.

  • There was me thinking from the title it would be a video of you in the bath!

  • seeing a video from you always makes my day! :)

  • I love american shows, they're so much better, and (this may sound weird) more 'colourful'? Lol.

But that's just my opinion :P

    Happy new year! :D

  • i love you

  • This will be such a typical response but... my favourite TV programmes are Doctor Who and Outnumbered joint.

  • Haha the soaps at the minute are terrible. We need a good 'richard hillman' storyline again. That was awesome haha.

On a side note, I love a good BBC comedy like Outnumbered or a classic like Fawlty Towers :D

  • Coupling, Brithsh sitcom FTW

  • @joshuamakin88 HELL YES!

  • <
