  • too much speech but ok

  • Nice vid straight to the point clear and precise!

  • So, If i shrunk my linux partition by 300GB, and it's 400 ... will this space go to Windows? or just be blank?

  • you talk to fast

  • c-drive won't extend..

  • @HarmFlo: I had the same problem. I had created a Temp drive and as I wasn't planning on usingit I was able to delete and this allowed me to extend the C drive as the option was no longer 'greyed out'. You can then repartion from there again if you so wished.

  • extend volume is greyed out

  • I have 250gb diskspace yet it allows me to use only 16.62 gb D:

  • @francismori7 I'm having the same problem!!! (I'm hoping that if they respond then I'll get advice too)

  • Well i have tried it, i shrink my c drive with 100 GB and created as volume E:, when i again shrink the C: Drive with 113 GB and try to create it as a new volume, it gives an error at the end " You cannot create a new volume in this unallocated space because the disk already contains the maximum number of partitions". Please Help me with this.

  • HELP,EXTEND PARTITION DIDN'T SHOW UP

  • My C: Drive shrunk, but the unallocated space dosen't show up

  • Guys, you are making things more complicated. I got an magic, MiniTool Partition Wizard, which is not only able to resize (including increasing and shrinking) active partition and data partition, but also system partition!!! ( resize system partition is not allowed). In addition, this program is totally free for personal users. MiniTool Partition Wizard Both text and video demonstrations are included at its official website.

  • @Aimar04101 good choice

  • how do i expand the (:C) cuz my expand button is grey and cannot be clicked even though i removed some from my rescue disk(760 GB)?

  • @TheMols14 i think this software could help you resize C:. MiniTool partition wizard. yean, free software just google it

  • @TheMols14 sorry for being so late to reply your question.

i think you should first employ the "Move/Resize" function of Partition Wizard to free up an unallocated space between your C or D(probably) ( namely shrink the size of D). Then you will be able to click the EXPAND button when increasing partition C! hope this would be helpful

  • i dont have any extend volume to click for my c drive!!! so HOWWW????

  • how do i extend the windows partition after i have shrunk the data partition, coz i have 100GB spare

  • The problem the (extend partition) is inactive, my PC is differenet. Watch what he says at 2.49

  • wow this is cool .thumb up

  • @lestube001, what, partitioning is fine (except once, read on), never had a problem, I tried on purpose once on the utility in the iso when you burn Ubuntu to a disc, can't remember the partitioning name.

    That screwed the HDD up.

I just use either the Vista/7 inbuilt one, or better (can't remember name, it's been a long time) some other software, older versions are free

I know I said partitioning is easy to do.

But I guess it's a matter of - "It's easy to get right, and easy to get wrong."
