  • good band, i wasn't know; they have love buzz.

  • fantastic band!!

  • I was a teen when Shocking Blue was still together. I had no idea they had so many great songs! I'm only just now rediscovering this band in 2011! Why weren't they promoted more? I guess they were just ahead of their time!

  • They were popular in the U.S only for their song "Venus" but they were not big..and that's all.

They were BIG and very popular in Euorpe, Asia and South America..

  • They were a band that no one ever heard of except of in small circles on the verge of getting big. Then the singer took drugs and it wiped her slate clean. No more words came from her mouth, and there was nothing else to write about. When it came time to sing, she just stared at everyone and smiled from ear to ear. Smiled a big toothy grin. How she loved everyone.

  • @zerutuby She took drugs???? Where did you hear or read that? A band no one heard of? Are you for real, the were number one in America, popular in Germany, Belgium and all over Europe. Big in their time, where there was no internet yet. So I wonder were your information comes from?

  • @DirkjeA Or are you talking about no one heard of them in the US? There is a big world outside the US you know?

Ever heard of Europe? Btw how come no one heard of them if they were number one in America?

  • @zerutuby kurt cobain heard of them. he covered a song from shocking blue

  • mariska

    geweldig !!!!

  • Shocking Blue was popular in Holland, we always played this music at garage parties, with black-light and a lot of drinks.... good times

  • She bore no children?

  • To Mariska only one attribute occurs to me in all relations: breathtaking!!! R.I.P.!!! Shocking Blue were a great band - thank you very much for Upload of this great song which I hear over and over again with pleasure, and lots of love from Germany.

  • Amazing voice she had.

  • Wow...sorry i never heard this band before today...except VENUS...but never knew or cared who did that song before now... They are very good, original and creative and great musicians...Awesome.

  • je n'oublierai jamais cette magnifique chanson..merci Shocking blue ..(special thanks à Mariska..)

  • @dsargentd I think it is a phaser.

  • Genial

  • Love this band <3

Why was Robbie always so shy lol? :p

  • Napoleon complex

  • beautiful

  • Beautiful, like a time capsule. It was unusual back then I believe for a (Western) rock band to travel to Greece and Japan.

  • @HuntersMoon73

I could be mistaken but it looks like Hong Kong instead of Japan.

  • good vid and vife stars

  • This song could pass as a country tune. Still good.

  • man i love her hair...goood song...shocking blue is awesome..

  • The hair is a wig.

  • Yes, I know.

  • omg im trying to look for this song helo darkness my old friend, it~s suppose to be sad and slow!

  • You're thinking of "The Sound Of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkle

  • @andrewx7441 me too I heard it in a movie and it is amazing!

  • Supernummer :)

  • I don't need LSD to take a trip to nowhere . I just turn on to this jam.

  • great band

    she was so beautifull :)

  • There music was ahead of it's time.Thats why they never made it big in the U.S. There sound was to heavy. Not bubble gum enough for U.S. radio back then.

  • Hellzzzz Yeah, i love your comment on them

they were my favourite band at 13 years of age!

  • Mariekesone, I was also 13 when Shocking Blue made Venus. That was great and I still think they are great to listen at.....

  • @expertEICHOLZ They had a US billboard #1 hit with Venus in 1970.....I'd say thats acceptance enough, considering. Even Creedence Clearwater Revival never had a #1

  • @expertEICHOLZ Venus and Mighty Joe made it here in the USA. I don't know about other songs.

  • @expertEICHOLZ You kidding? They were huge in the US.

  • The lead singer is like a cross betbeen Chrissie Hynde and Grace Slick. Not a bad combination!

  • Hey! your right, was wondering who she remimded me of, tell I read that

  • Kanonbra låt!!!

  • Ths video makes me feel nostalgic.

  • great band

  • This song is mellow! Shocking blue is great! What a vocalist she make's it even more better to listen to!
