  • Does anyone know if G53 JW are compatible with 3d? do i only need to buy 3d glasses??

  • i can't wait to get mine!

  • press 7 for a russian word

  • Comment removed

  • try to watch porn whit that.

  • teach those guys to play guitar hero ffs!!!!!

  • why using this just buy a 3d tv from sony or lg you can make every fucking shit in 3d for games and movies all the way

  • @bo7mod2009 That is not true. TV will not create 3d experience based on 2d picture. NVidia technology will not create 3d from 2d dvd, but games hell yes.

  • should this work with my 120 hz tv thats LED. I have a 250 gts and decent pc.

  • right ok - simple question.

(kinda a noob of this shizz, but here goes.)

ok, is it possible to run a ps3 3D game via HDMI 1.4 through a laptop running a GT445m Nvidia graphics card(3gb), on an 840QM i7 processor, 16gb ram on a Dell XPS17 system? - getting 3d through the screen, thats usable.

    ... Maybe not so simple : /

but i cant find the answer -anywhere- O_O

no idea if 3d glasses are needed either...

    thanks -

    - HoRiZoN

  • @oH0RIZ0No The only 3D technology that doesn't require glasses are the Nintendo 3DS and Virtual Boy.

  • @oH0RIZ0No You probably have already figured this out, but still :) The answer is no :)

  • @ZeroHeroVids actually i managed it - replaced the screen with a 3d capable one, got some glasses, installed an external hdmi input and it works ^_^

one or two niggles at first but abit of messing sorted that

  • @oH0RIZ0No Huh? You played a ps3 game through your laptop?! :O

  • @ZeroHeroVids killzone 3 yeah, isnt too bad : )

  • got a 580gtx and nvidia 3d vision on my gd235hz!

  • I wonder if rendering two frames at once will half your framerate.

Also, why not just render two frames at once that are polarized differently? That way you could just use polarized glasses that don't need batteries.

Oh, and just out of curiosity: How do the glasses sync up with the monitor?

  • @ross817 yeah your framerate will drop to about 60%. Only crytek seems to have developed a better solution for crysis 2 (march 2011).

And there are no 3D screens which use those polarized glasses. If you'd want to use that you'd somehow need to hook up a polarized 3D projector like they use in the cinema.

  • @slopedarmor actually this manufcturers produce 3D passive monitors : Zalman . Hyundai , and more . From tvs : LG , Mitsubishi and more

  • So if i flash with my eyes fast as hell i dont need the glasses?

  • @snutt3n not sure about this technology, but the red/blue technology will always need glasses.

cuz u can't filter out 1 color without them ;p

  • @snutt3n actually there is this new technology i saw in a video. you hook these wire things to the sides of your head and they make your eyes blink ridiculously fast without you having to do any of it. no glasses.

  • @LyokoDude its fake...it was a joke video...read about it

  • @LyokoDude Actually there is an even less cluttered way than electrodes making eyelids blink. It only works for some people though.. First you show them a flashing screen. then during their epileptic fit, they eyes can blink spasmodically enough for true 3d. no wires or glasses. lasts a few minutes. then do it again.

Such Software only solutions remove need for wires. + fits can be induced in most people eventually.. ie drugs & too much Alex Jones etc. PC world should do an article about it.

  • @snutt3n techincally yes, but its got to be so fast your eyes would prob start watering up in no time and cause some major headaches.

  • can i use my monitor's glasses to see 3d?? i hav e geforce gtx220 and all drivers in!!!plz. I don't want to buy the nvidia glasses that's cost 199 euro!!!

  • @hellboy1996k lolz! there's nothin goin on without shutter glasses dude...

  • can u make a video of how does the photos n movies n other things looks like in dis nvidia 3d vision?? thnxx

  • This technology works extremely well for porn! :)

I tried at 3dmaxxx.co.m, cuz I didnt found nothing else in the web, which is... interresting.

    Wheres all the 3d porn?????

  • @MaxSpilungone muhhahah got get a 3d girl funny

  • i want this :/

  • 1:24 from L4D looks just like the scene from Max Payne when he is has to follow the blood trail & the crying baby.

  • They say they can convert pictures to 3D, that not possible, because you would need 2 views for the picture in the first place

  • @50LightSabersInAPack yes however a video game and or video has many pictures that are run together e.g. when they use the same person to make it look like there are twins standing next to each other, they have ways of doing it its just taken them a while to figure out how to make it look nice and it seems they have with this technology

  • with this 3D do things seem to come out of the screen?

  • @tommyfpotter1224 lol u made my day hahaha rofl.

  • left 4 dead FTW!!!!

  • $1.99 YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i play battlefield 1942 with my EDimentional Glasses and they work great

  • @onlinesniper

    Cool

  • do i neeed a special monitor for this, i mean i have nvidia 160gtx 3d but do i need the monitor 3d or just the glases??

  • lol you can play any game in 3D with IZ3D driver

  • @Terrorist939

right, there is no difference between 3d on ati or nvidia

  • However, you can still play games in OpenGl such as Doom III if you use iz3D or an equivalent software. You'll have to research this, because I could not get this to work at a depth similar to nvidia's on 100%.

Hope this helps you make a good decision =)

  • As an additional note, if you look up the nvidia 3D Game Compatibility list, you'll notice there's a range from Excellent to Poor. This tells you how well the game looks in 3D, aside from the problems noted in the comments area for each game.

imo, putting down ten dollars just to witness the 3D experience is enough for me, and to re-purchase a console game for pc is worth it . Try to turn off as many 2D Hud elements as possible like the crosshair. Also, there may be ghosting in darker games.

  • this with a headset with high volume on fear1 equals death XD

  • thats wack what if i wanna play duke nukem 3d in 3d

  • woah, playing guitar hero that way would be reaaally trippy:P

  • i woul dlike to buy these galasses , but my monitor has only 60Hz (not 120). Will this be a big problem or the picture will flickering??

  • @HenryGAD it wont flicker or anything. It just won't work lol.

  • You can try out 3D vision using cheap cardboard 3d specs enable the stereoscopic 3d in nvidia control panel all games but warcraft work with it. The cheap specs ruin the colour though you but the Nvidia 3D vision so that it looks crystall clear and has normal colour.

  • looks really cool!

  • nvidia's technology doesn't work with OpenGL, only Direct X.

You also need to have the game in full-screen, but just because a Direct X game isn't on the compatibility list doesn't mean 3d won't work on it.

  • @SuperSmashAwesome How do you play the game in 3D than?

  • @DJMOCRO07 Purchase a pair of Red-Cyan (optimized) 3D glasses or get the 3D Vision Discover glasses (or the really expensive setup). I bought the Discover setup for $10 on eBay.

You have to get a high-end video card like my Geforce GTX 260 card that supports 3D Vision--I think the minimum card was an 8000 series--and download the latest nvidia driver and 3d vision driver update.

Then ensure that the game you want to play is confirmed to work with 3D (looking up forums) or hope for the best

  • @SuperSmashAwesome old opengl games can be run via directGL

  • @betonman9 I haven't been able to get any opengl games to work this way. I've read that it works with Doom 3, but I don't know if a nvidia quadro card (whatever it's called) is required to play it or not. In any case, I would love to do that.

  • @SuperSmashAwesome i only tried quake 1 and it worked, quake 2 and 3 are known to work aswell

  • how about glasses for xbox?

  • consoles are too weak for this kind of thing, and youd need a tv running at 120hz and most hdtvs run at 60hz

  • @rhun664 but is it even good? I heard there are annoying glitches when playing it in 3D

  • @rhun664 only the Xbox 360 won't be able to run games in 3D, Playstation 3 is getting an update this June / July.

  • @jordandyckes yeah xD

  • Not the same, Broseph! 3D vision makes PC gaming the SHEEE-IT. Anaglyph is sketchy at best.

  • Screw this just download 3d drivers and buy red and cyan glasses it's about 2 bucks

  • Does it work on OpenGL games?

  • Hopefully this is like watching an Imax movie, in which case that would be totally awesome, I hear the major downside is it requires a lot more graphics card beef, 2 screens need 2 cards or SLi.

  • damn dude wont work on my HP touchsmart

  • There is laptop that have 140 hz monitor?and if there is can you insert that system in?

  • its not just about 120 hertz the monitor also has to be 3 ms response time or lower over 3 ms is 2D 3ms=3D

  • i use a crt monitor at 140hz and i woks very great

  • CRT's often have higher refresh rates than LCD's. The reason why LCD took over the market is because of image quality, size, and power usage.

  • @dDang9 Don't be a dickhead

  • @sgtsobel89 name of the monitor please?

  • @rihannadj HI, This here Sony GDM-F520! i purchase by auction for 1 dollar LOL :D

  • liar, you need 200

  • @sgtsobel89 I just bought a professional-quality CRT that runs at 160Hz (for mid-range resolutions) for £20! :D

  • @sgtsobel89 160Hz up to 1024x768, 101hz at 1280x1024, and 87hz at 1600x1200. It goes up to 1920x1440 max, with 73Hz. Can't wait 'til I get it.

  • I own a Zalman 3D monitor, and have compared it to the Nvidia setup. There is no downfall to passive 3D glasses. The hardware requirements are too steep for both the glasses and monitor with the Nvidia setup. I'm sure those of you who went out and bought all that expensive gear for the Nvidia will disagree because you have to justify it somehow by saying it's better. It's not.

  • the Zalman monitor is a glare nightmare....

I'd rather get shutter glasses, with an ultra smooth 120 hz monitor, with zero glare.

  • shutter glasses require too much hardware. Zalman and IZ3D has the right idea with passive glasses. you don't get any flicker, there are no glasses electronics to worry about, the glasses are more like normal polarized sunglasses, and they don't require a 120hz monitor.

  • @jlira01

+ they arent NEARLY as good/impressive as the Nvidia 3D hardware...

  • @jlira01

+ Shutter glasses dont produce any VISABLE flicker... So all you say is kinda bs

  • is this worth it?

  • omfg GUITAR HERO!

  • The Glasses! They DO SOMETHING!

About time this evolved and came to the mass market at a reasonable price.

  • can i use a crt monitor 800X600 100Hz ? pls reply !!!!

  • @g3orgeflorin

Yes you can but it might flicker a bit since each eye will only get 50 frames a second.

It should look fine though since you're only losing 10fps per eye.

  • nope. need 120hz sry brother, i have the same problem

  • are u sure ? you tried with a CRT monitor at 100Hz and didn't work for you because of the monitor ?

  • it needs to be 120 hrz because of the glasses and frame rates. the glasses are shutters. kinda like a timing light. so if u dont have ennough hz then u will see flashes

  • Diagram for those that don't understand.

    Glasses, each covering one eye:

Computer draws image on screen for left eye, right eye glass goes black:

    [#][ ]

Computer then draws image for right eye, and left eye goes black:

    [ ][#]

Done really quickly it feeds your brain depth perception. I.e. Your brain takes two perspectives and calculates the distance.

  • the fx 5200 can do it? some one knows how?

  • Can't. This 3D only works on 8800 or higher

  • thx!

  • can you see the whole computer in 3d like normal movie or just the games

  • found one monitor for 349€ im my country

  • I dont get it! is it a doubble picture on the screen och does the glasses make us think it is two images on the screen?

  • combines the images, making it appear 3d to the human eye. these works awesome.

  • 2 images on screen, glass combines into one, creates illusion of 3d in brains

  • Comment removed

  • Wait should the monitor display the game in red and blue like regular 3d or should it be the colors is was in the video? (black, grey and white) Also where could I get 3d glasses?

  • @Smiggledorf9 u buy the glasses for about 200usd. then colors are normal just the picture is rendered twice.

  • Comment removed

  • the iz3d driver works like 3dvision, but no nvidia card required, so ATI doesn't suck so much. The more important stuff is the display/goggles

  • hahaha :D

    yes it is

  • nvidia 3d vision ¬¬ not ati 3d vision ati sux

  • nvidia too

  • And you are a retarded faggot and a disgrace to mankind.

  • @jeanfulx nividia and ati are good nvidia not better than ati but ati not better than nvidia too

  • ha no

  • what technology does it use,

    double screen or blur screen?

because i see them both in different movies.

i want to buy the Acer H5360 3D projector. 3D movies and games on the big screen.. cant wait!!

  • it's double vision

  • UNTIL YOU PUT THE GLASSES ON.

  • is stereoscopic 3d vision

  • hw much its cost?

  • cost 1000kr in sweden so about 120dollors :P

  • Comment removed

  • no just pc sorry

  • nvidia 3d grapics in x box :D u are smart!

  • sieht aus wenn man keine brille hat, als wenn man besoffen ist und alles doppelt sieht! :D

  • Its not my opinion its a FACT.I used to have 6600le and i bought 9600gt and now i cant use my 3d glasses thats all what i m saying.ITS BLACKMAIL

  • Pap: yep, my old pile of Elsa shutter glasses won't work with the new cards. They might work with a 3D ready DLP HDTV though. The new nVidia cards and drivers produce a checkerboard grid for each eye when running on a DLP HDTV. The TV itself has a 3D shutter control plug for either wired or wireless shutter glasses.

But, nVidia has to make money to stay afloat, so they "persuade" us to buy new cards, new cpu's, new shutter glasses, etc.

  • thats not blackmail lol blackmail is when a person holds information and tells the other person to gives a ransom to not let out that secret.

  • My friend zenith50 in order to use stereoscopic driver you have to use the same version of driver so the latest bstereoscopic is 91.31 if you have older nvidia card like (6600LE) you can use 3d for games moovies e.t.c. but if you bye a newer nvidia card like (9600gt) you cant use 3d cause there are no stereo drivers for 191.07 if this is no blackmail i dont know what is this.If i knew that i defenetly wouldnt have bye nvidia

  • where can i buy them???

  • Actually what nvidia does is to make you bye their glasses cause even if you bye a nvidia graphic card you are not allowed to download stereoscopic drivers for you graphic card so that you will not use this with other 3d glasses they blackmaile even their own customers

  • wrong i use red/bue glasses with the same steroscopic drivers. goto nvidia control pannel the drivers are there but in order to use the 3d vision you need the nvidia active shutter glasses and a 120Hz screen or you can use nivida 3d vision discover with you use Any red/blue glasses and any screen you just select in the 3d setup wizzard what glasses your using

  • Nop your OPINION is all wrong. bye=buy.

  • actually actually actually actually? omg thats actually actually! :|

  • Can you play crysis in 3d??

    O_o

  • yes

  • yup

  • yes but with 3d on your framerate is halfed so you need at least 80frames normaly so with 3d your would have 40 frames per eye

  • What you will be seeing is the refresh rate(120hz) being cut in half not the frame rate. Two 60hz images would be displayed @ 80fps frames each. It's kind of difficult to explain in so few words.

It's an interesting experience to see games in 3d.

  • all the 3d games!!

  • sorry but how many cost it ? thanks for a answer

  • more than 500€

    to much expensive

  • samsung syncmaster 270 euro

    nvidia 3d vision 130 euro

  • IZ3D driver es gratis tiene el mismo efecto y no nescesita cambiar monitor o tarjeta grafica

  • huh?

  • oh sorry i thought that u knew spanish..what i said b4 is that IZ3D drivers does the same effect that nvidia does but u dont have to change your monitor ...but it does the nvidia 3d discover effect, the one with red cyan glasses not the 3d vision effect so...is not so interesting because the difference betwen 3d vision and 3d discover is big

  • @Andreldn

    Your correct... Shutter LCD ftw

  • waht is this for I dont understand?

  • you dont understand what 3d vision is? Its a whole new level of gameplay, its real 3d games, but it costs not only 200 bucks for the glasses and 350 to 400 bucks for the 22" monitor with 120hz but half of the framerate of your game for the graphic card must do 2 images of the game.

  • you have no idea how many ATI fanboys I have argued with about 3D Vision, they call it retarded, or gimmicky, and then I ask them if they have even tried it, & they say

    "No"

how can they form an opinion on something they havent even tried!?

3D Vision, is the best thing to happen to PC gaming, and they don't even know it, haha, good, they can go blow their money on the 5870, and get more fps, than their eyes are even going to friggin notice, and sacrifice immersion for it, what idiots. haha

  • Nvidia rocks.

  • hell yeah! and their DX11 card is gonna blow the 5870 away

:-) AND it will have 3D Vision, win win!

  • Just think about Physx, that is something too.

  • yeah exactly!, DX11, 3D Vision, Physx! and more games being optimized for Nvidia!

  • And what about ion plataform?

  • don't know too much about it lol

  • But it will cost 2 times as much.

  • what will?

  • Their new cards are always outlandishly priced. the 285GTX is still at $400 ffs. You could buy a better 5870 for that. I'm not an ATI fanboy so don't take it like that, but don't act oblivious to the facts.

  • well of course their cards cost more, it offers the ability to play in 3D

Ability to play in 3D = More Money

No Ability to play in 3D = Less Money

Just because maybe YOU don't find value in it, doesn't mean it's not a valuable feature to many people.

in fact it's such a good feature, there's a petition to bring it to ATI.

    Google the following....

"ATi support for 3-D Stereo Vision Shutter Glasses Petition"

  • ATi has its Eyefinity

    DX11

    GDDR5

About $150 dollar cheaper pricetag than the GTX295. Don't get me wrong, 3D is cool, and get a nVidia card if you want to use it, I'm just saying at this point, it would be wiser to buy a new 5800 series ATi card, or wait to see what the 300 series of nVidia cards has to offer.

  • I agree, if your a person that doesn't care about 3D, then the choice is obvious, get the 5870, but people may want to see what Nvidia has up their sleeves, who knows they may surprise everyone. But you really can't go wrong with the 5870 as you'll never win with the video card "game" anyways. There will always be something better just a couple months away.

But for people that like 3D, I would say stick with what you have now, and wait for the GTX 380. That's what I'm doing.

  • I would prefer 3D vision, but if you do have 5870's can you still use 3D vision?

  • no you can't, there's a petition from over a thousand ppl so far to have it on ATI cards.

you can use the IZ3D driver to see 3D with red & blue glasses on the ATI card, but obviously you don't want to REALLY play like that, but it will give you a good idea of how it will look.

pick up a 83 cent pair of glasses, then download that driver, and give it a try :-)

  • does anyone with red green colorblind try the 3D Vision?

  • I got the glasses too. They are amazing.

  • got the glasses like 2 months ago and i was using my 8800GTX and playing some games isent the best fps is kinda shit and gettin my new GTX 260 2day :D

  • Nvidia is the KING! I see the future in 3D gaming with ultra realistic PhysX!! :D The next gen 3D Windows :P

  • IoI

  • So since they are just games that means we can't have any technological advancements in visual mediums?
