  • Hola, soy de Argentina y quisiera saber como ser llama el producto que usas para el cemento? gracias y saludos? mi correo: ministerioduncan@yahoo.com

  • great work...i want to cast 15 cube of size 15 x 15 x 15cm can u tell me the proportion of cement , sand, water and foam agent, water in foam..??

  • Excellent video thanks, what is the name of the foam, or where can I have it?

  • could you use baking soda and vinegar to make the foam and use the soap solution and mix it?

  • I was wondering about how this would work in an application where you are making a tile.

Is the idea to make this a lighter material/medium to work with, compared to terra cotta

or clay tile? This is kind of intriguing.

  • If you want to buy some foaming agent in small quantity email info@propump.co.uk ask for Propump26 its great.

  • more water = less strength concrete

  • Your comment isn't very rigorous. Maybe you meant to say in any structural parts of a building. In a seismic or hurricane zone you can use any material; from wool to concrete. Even this type of material. In fact you can use any kind of material in any type of zone. Of course, as you can't use wool as structural component you can't use also aerate concrete for the same thing. but you definitely can use aerate concrete as filling material, like we use (also you in USA), glasswool or mineral wool.

  • The lax quality-control shown here would be adequate for producing concrete that's safe for use in... I dunno... a doll house? Maybe paver blocks for a private garden walkway...?

Yer killin' me with the jury-rigged Soviet methods. Please don't use this material in any seismic or hurricane zones. Thanks.

  • @MajorCaliber

    As for the Soviet part....

Interest in this video is considerable from US. Even I don't think it's a soviet method.

  • It's just pepsi

  • @WeaponSamurai

You can try also Coca Cola, but i doubt that you can do it better ;)

  • so what were you making? looks like a panel for a wall or roof.

  • @all

There is an Italian producer Mibo SRL who had a technical sheet of their foaming agent on their site. I think they still have it

  • @all As far as I know this foaming agent is a protein based agent and is available only in standard metallic barrels of 208 L but you can try at online shops, if you find some, for smaller quantities. You can try also with foaming agents used on fire stations (they use foam in some cases for fire extinguishes)

  • WHAT IS THE FOAMING AGENT ???HOW DO THEY CALL IT IN CHEMICAL TERIMINOLOGY ??OR FORMULA NAME

  • Cuál es el nombre de los dos productos? gracias

  • Due to interest for this video I'll translate the original Romanian post into English:

A simple and inexpensive production of foam needed to obtain the Aerate Concrete.

For a 180l (about 120l course) concrete mixer I used half bucket of cement, three buckets of sand and depending on how wet is the sand I added water (7-10l). And , of course, the foam.

  • Recipe for foam is 3% foaming agent and water (theoretically). Basically I used 50 ml per liter of water, ie 5%, and for a batch of aercrete I used 1.5 l of 5% diluted foaming agent

My impression was that the solution temperature influences the quality of foam, but I didn't tried to study this thing. My impression was that if the solution is heated by the sun, the foam was more "fluffy"

Of course the recipe can be changed, but I'm happy it came out. Probably a density of 900-1000 kg/cubic meter

  • @diandana

Dear Friend coult you tell me which is the foaming agent (chemically speaking) that you use to make the aerate concrete

    Thanks

  • wow you are great man..

  • @diandana

thank you very much for nice information

  • very good video. what kind of foaming agent did you use?

can you menton the aperture of the mesh attached to the drill?

  • The mesh is aprox. 2x2mm aperture with 0.5mm wire diam. and the frame is a 150x50mm rectangle. Of course, all this elements of the "foam generator" are chosen without any study, so I think each one can try other dimensions.

Regarding the foam agent I can't give you details of brand or any other characteristics, except that it is used for aerated concrete.

  • The foaming agent is mixed with water (3 to 5 %) . It is used for aerate concrete. Unfortunately, I think that is not commercially available in small quantities. Not in Romania anyway. I bought the foaming agent (4 liters) from a small producer of lightweight concrete blocks which are commonly used in private buildings.

  • whats on the foam?

  • I don't understand your question. I don't see anything ON the foam.

The idea of this video is that you can produce the foam without any expensive machinery. The foam "generator" is a simple frame with a metalic net, mounted on a drill.

You can translate the info with Google translate. It's not very accurate, but you'll get the idea.

  • Stiu.

Asta e si ideea. Poate mai are cineva nevoie. Decât să închiriezi un utilaj din ăla pentru 5-6 mc de BCU, mai bine faci ca mine.

  • This is a very good idea from you to demonstrate that one can make really without big machines foam for lightweight concrete. Thanks for your initiative and good advice.

How much cement do you use? Even the sand as an additive?

But there remains the question of what is it propellant? You do not have a name from the propellant?

In an additional 3-5% on the course is very interesting an economely.

    Thank you!

  • @ramiroarenapanama

For a concrete mixer I used a recipe of 3 buckets of sand, one and a half cement, 7-10 l water depending on how wte is sand and foam. Recipe for foam is 3% foam agent diluted in water (theoretically). Basically we used 50 ml per liter of water, ie 5% and for a batch I used 1.5 l of 5% solution. Of course, if you put more cement the stronger the concrete will be, but I don't think that a proportion more than 50% cement will do any good.
