i felt like hearing this song after it was referenced in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's latest chapter, Jojolion when one of Josuke's "new friends", Daiya-chan mentioned something called "the misty mellotron" as being "a sound like falling mist" at 1:37, looked it up on youtube, she was right. Hirohiko Araki must listen to a lot of music if he makes so many references in not only the dialog but the names and abilities of certain characters in his series.
This is absolute perfection ,it really wants me to get hold of the newer bands and say "Listen to this ,no one thousand miles an hour guitaring ,no drummer thumping his twin base for no reason , but this is still powerful ,deep ,heavy . Try learning this , try to understand this ..
When I was in my teens, you weren't considered "sophisticated" unless you listened to Yes. And I can see why. These guys are the personification of Progressive Rock.
Holy shit, sometimes I wonder about by music tastes...but fuck me, this makes me proud to be a Yes fan. What a kick ass performance all round - total synergy.
Now... I'm a HUGE fan of Billy (as Fripp sometimes would call him) Brufords way of playing drums, but this here rendition of HOTS is actually a rare occation where I find they're topping it with Alan in the band. Fantastic version, this. Very moving and very powerful. Thumbs up!!
Some one once commented to me how he liked the opening going from 2/4 to 3/4, but I listened to it closely. If you listen to Alan White riding the high hat in the first few bars tapping out "ONEtwothreeFOURfivesixONEtwothreeFOURfivesixONEtwoTHREEfourFIVEsixONEtwoTHREEfourFIVEsix" With Chris Squire doing a straight fourfour in the middle section, then having Howe come back in with that alternating 6/8 riff, . . .Brilliant!
used to have this on vinyl. it was amazing. i miss it. damn thieves

@pml22 I saw them in Toronto on their "Relayer" Tour, a totally amazing show! I don't use drugs, but I really get a "high" listening to YES!

Alan White learned this song on drums and the rest of the material off this album in three days. What a boss.
