I still can't figure out why so many peple are crying "Its not a sim " who cares their all ment to be fun. one might not be for you, leave it at that.
I know you guys probably know by now but the Gran Turismo official website has so much to say about their upcoming GT5, so I think you guys already know which one's better, GT5 or Forza 3.
No it doesn't. Only Gran Turismo 2 had damage though. Everything after GT2 didn't have any. You get your facts straight. Also, message me and let's have a race in GTP:5. I'll give you my PSN ID. Prove to me GT5:P has damage.
WTF.... Yesterday i subscribed to this show. I thought this was SIM RACING show and then i saw this, the gt5p vs fm2 shootout and fm3 review. I did unsubscribe immediately. Sim racing isn't for masses, but of course you need viewers and average people is what you need.
Well.. Real sim racing can't survive if people thinks that the games like FM3 or GT5 are simulators. Why people would play more difficult but more realistic simulators if they can have more fun with less accurate racing game and same time think that this is most accurate game ever? But if you define that the FM3 and the GT5 are simulators, then "sim" racing will survive, but is it anymore sim racing if the games aren't focused on the accurate simulation of real world driving physics?
Simple physics test for FM3. Try to get some basic Ferrari to oversteer in corner by quickly applying throttle. Rear tires should lose grip when quickly applying force to them, but that doesn't happen in FM3? What about quick lift-off the throttle at the corner?
huh? That does happen. Forza even takes tire flex into account, as well as the heat in on the inner, middle, and outer parts of the tire. It even models the pressure changes inside the tire as it heats up.
What makes you think that was not a good way to test the game? Demo says that the FM3 is most realistic racing simulator. Why would the demo not be realistic then?
Maybe real drivers says that the FM3 is realistic because turn 10 have paid to say that? Or they just edited the interviews that way? I haven't seen any video where the real drivers says anything bad about the game.
Point of simulation racing is that you have the most realistic racing experience, even if the driving is hard or almost impossible.
FM3 does have many simulation aspects, but they have managed to tune the parameters like the grip, that way that the game feels like a simulator but is easy to drive, even on expert settings with gamepad.
FM3 is great racing game, BUT not an accurate racing simulator. Turn 10 should not pretend anything else.
@hwkr chill out dude. sometimes these 'lamer games' are the gateway to simracing and also the relaxation pastime for most simracers (i play f1 2010 as my break from rfactor when it doesn't bug up)

but forza3 will be in by October and remind me when GT5 comes out OH thats Right its TBA so while GT5 has to wait I'll be playing forza which is better GT5
full GT5 will have over 900 cars to start and about 10,000 to download... and damage. it will put forza to shame. doesnt matter what forza does, GT5 is going to make it look bad. end of story.
You're correct, prologue is not a demo. However, it is not a full-fledged entry to the series either, and a direct comparison to Forza 2 wasn't really a fair one... aside from the fact that they are the "latest" entries from the two largest franchises on the two consoles. Look at both sides of the coin.
You guys are spot on when you say GT5 better have damage. For that matter, GT5 better be one of the greatest games ever made, based on the development time that has been involved. 5 PLUS YEARS! It better be awesome with that much time to make it. Put it this way, it could either be one of (if not THE) greatest sims, or games period, ever made. Or, it could be an epic dissapointment if it does not include things like damage, Porsche, Lamborghini, weather, day-night cycle, etc.
For the GT series not to have damage at this point...well, it's unfathomoble really. No excuse to not have damage, or Porsche and Lamborghini included for that matter. And online play in GT5P is an absolute mess most of the time. No Private Rooms. No damage, so punters and jerks run wild. Crappy event updates, etc.
Sorry to bump the whole GT5P vs. Forza debate again, but I'm a diehard GT fan, and I have to agree with most of what you say, in spite of having never played Forza 2.
When I came to this site I was hoping for a little more details on physics. I found some of the physics in Forza 2 to be very jarring.
I agree with the general score in that Forza 2 is a complete game and GT isn't.
Gran Turismo has always supported a variety of wheels for a long time, and I've been able to use my Driving Force Pro wheels back from the PS2 days, which I've also been able to use for a lot of PC sims that I used to drive back when I had a PC that was up to it ;). Big plus.
I heard you say 16 player online in GT5 Prologue versus 12 player online in Forza 2. However, having both I seem to recall that Forza 2 only supports 8 cars on track in any race, including online. That's also a simple peer-to-peer network support that has caused me a lot of headache.
I'm ok with you guys if you stay at this depth. But I'd love some experts going a bit deeper into testing the sim aspects of .. well ... sim racers, and I was hoping to find it here.
I own both consoles, games, and I use the MS wheel for Forza and the DFP for GT5:P. I agree with your comparison nearly completely. The only complaint I'd have is comparing number of cars/tracks for Prologue ($40 demo) to Forza. But I do agree that Forza has taken the console sim racing genre even further with the telemetry, damage (cosmetic and parts), parts and tires, etc.
Hey! Me again. The Ubutto simchair is only $350 and can also be used for fps games and can be assemled in 20 minutes. It also sports ambi shififting ablity and monitor p[latform you could put a fridge on. I'm Six-foot thrre and it's awesome for me and my shorter friends. You dont need to spend $1000 for it either.
And lastly most console games feel like driving a hovercraft rather than tires on tarmac. The forcefeedback i feel in the is very static and fake. I feel no diffrence from teck to track.
At the heart of any sim is the immersion of the real world driving experience. My brother has a PS2 and 5 GAMES with a Playseat and a G25. I have a G25 a computer rated at 6 by Microsoft and it's not even a comparison really.
Couple things guys. I love your show and think J.Lo jr. is quite attractive. I'm an Rfactor,LFS dude and love PC sims for there relative accuracy. I think i understand your sudden your fasinacition with the console GAMES. I think it's an attempt to appeal to a broader audience because in no way can you reall tell me or any sim racer that console GAMES are on par. cont.
I don't have a PS3, but i have clocked over 500 hours into forza 2 over the last 2 years. What makes it great, like many of the other best racing sims out there is the community. The Auction house and other features mean FM2 has much more to offer to me than GT5P would.
No you miss the point- the car painting, customisation and distribution system that Forza has is unique, and that is one of the main reasons i like it. I can express myself on the side of my race car and that is brilliant. With GT5 customisation of paint jobs goes as far as changing the colour. Thats not the only reason i like forza, and i'm sure i would love GT5, but it is one of the best things about forza that GT5 can't do, like the number of polygons in GT5 that nobody else can match.
Oh yeah you're right, that IS unique about Forza, I remember the first one where you could fully customize your car with decals, different painting and such, it was awesome.
I'm not used to writing comments and such, but i wonder with all sim and sim-arcadish racing games reviewed and re-reviewed through all 40 episodes, have you guys consider reviewing top mods that occured in rFactor or other meanwhile? I mean Formula1 by MMG and CTDP for rF, Power&Glory for GTR2 to name some. I think theres more to the sim community than Forza and GT5 all over again.
Also tracks, Virtua_LM's Mid Ohio and LeMans or CTDP's Bahrain. These mods/add-ons compare in quality build with most big houses/sim developer models, and there free of charge. What a boost would a review bring to the community and many will get informed on what mods can do to revitalise a sim game.
guys, you dont have to explain yourselves about your opinions being paid or not, is your opinion and agreeing with you or not should be part of the fun, but I actually am surprised about all the flack....it seems like you had to be right all the time and please everyone for people to not complain :S. Just go on with your ever improving show, I personally believe you do this for sheer passion.
keep your great work, lots of us really enjoy it, including the opinions I don´t agree with
Good show guys. Your shows get longer with each episode, will the next one break the one hour mark I wonder?
Anyways, Shaun's tech tips are my favourite part. What I would like to see next is Shaun's advice for the overall setup strategy, ie. where to start, where to end and what tweak in between, what to look out for with the handling, tyre temps etc.
With so many settings affecting all treading on each others toes, it's obvious that you need to formulate some kind of overall action plan.
I came late to the re-review. I have both Prologue and Forza 2, and while both are very good sims as you pointed out, I got tired of Forza 2's oversteer on all cars, cheap MS wheel (it broke quickly), and unreliable "Elite." Love the livery shop, but everything else blows. TBH, I have 2 GTR games and rFactor, and I keep coming back to Prologue because the simulation, graphics, whole deal is so darn GOOD. Online is crappy, but I found the AI drives a lot like the peeps, and 16 car races rock.
I'm no snob just smart. Actually racers appreciate sims for the ablity to have Force Feedback that actually employs a greater sense of relative driving muscle memory. For example. Things like rumble strips, wrecks,spin-outs and weight shifts aren't just a jolt in the wheels but are way more accuratly proportionate to real world driving. These forces get muttled from one console to another and even you cannot say that's untrue.
simracingtonight, i have a question. I have arca sim racing, do you guys think it is worth it to buy iracing, or should i just stick with arca. Is iracing the best out there? (in terms of oval track racing)
Arca provides some pretty awesome oval racing. Supposedly some mods are coming for it soon as well. Also in Arca you can run private leagues and tailor the races the way you want.
iRacing is also awesome with a variety of divisions from Legends cars up to the COT. You have to work your way up to run the big cars.. Right now it would take about a year to run the COT
In games you might be able to adjust them in 2 different ways (pressure and compound), but in reality tires are way more complex, slip angles, side wall deflection, camber thrust, those and many other factors are tuned to produce massively different handling characteristics.
If you study race vehicle dynamics, you start with an understanding of tire slip angles (tire twists due to forces which is where all your grip comes from).
Great show! Incidentally I've spent a lot of time playing Forza 1 on the xbox 1 and GT4 on the PS2, and I think almost all of your comments apply to the previous versions of these games too.
you guys definitely should add buttkicking as one of the categories when reviewing console games :) i now know what you guys were talking about how it adds to the immersion and completes the experience....
I haven't tried a PC sim racing game yet so i can't compare the buttkicking :)
Gran Turismo 5 prologue IS the best sim on PS3. There's no sim on the PC that lets you enter so many different types of production / tuned cars in the same race - and be able to find a race online at any reasonable hour. If there was, i'd run it. I gave up on rFactor long ago.
Well I have a PS3 and a XBOX 360 and both GT5P and Forza 2. However I use a controller for both.
I gotta say that I like them both equally but GT5P just has something about it taht just brings me back always. I bought Forza bout 2 months ago and I bought GT5P when it came out and I've beaten both games but GT5P is just too good for me. I mean I'm able to pick it up, play it for 1 hour, stop and come back paly another hour again, while forza just doesnt make me that eager to play it.
cock pit view without the damn view of the wheel and even worse drivers hands on the wheel. If you're playing with a wheel it is so not needed to see a second wheel on the screen. The Toca 3 cock pit view was so much better than the cock pit view codemasters seems to be always using in newer games now.
Hi Guys, the Show is looking very fresh, congrats Would like to see a PC sim shootout. rfactor vs iracing or something like this. I dont have any console, so i look from a distance to all this and enjoy
Big shout out to you guys from an old boy from perhaps not so jolly old England who has just found your u tube channel.. Ignore the purists and keep up the good work your doing. The "fun factor" is what real life is all about and so should it be in Sim Racing.. ;-) Don't worry too much we will all have Pig Flu and die by next week anyway !
great show, i love shaun´s tips and the vir technique was impressive.. i would like your videos to be HD, try it next time.. why did u said race rigs when you almost spoke about one? for me VR3 is the best
There is one HUGE fail in Forza2. The car, Seat Leon Cupra R is a 4WD car, but in the game it is FWD... so the physics cant be great because they even know with type of drivetrain each car has, sou how can they do acurate handlig physics for each car? I dont get it.
What's so hard to comprehend? I said it before & will again ~
Your inexperience with previous iterations of GT's Prologues & Concepts (or possibly console racing titles) clouds your ability to judge this comparo correctly
It's not a demo (which you do state & agree) but you don't rate/score it on it's merits of being a PROLOGUE, and comparing it to a FULL title based on IT'S merits is incorrect and short changing the Prologue's score resulting in an inaccurate, unreliable "VS" comparison
Prologue ~ A preliminary discourse; a preface or introductory part of a discourse. Preceding event that shows a solid idea/line of a final product
Demo ~ A brief illustration, short, early, barely-functional version of a program with bugs ranging from minor to numerous of which can be used for demonstration purposes only for a test run but not a full product
Your opinion has been misinformed by your inability to admit what a Prologue/Concept is and what it has been to the GT line of products
NP man, I'll behave ;) ~ Actually I have to apologize for how some of my words may come off. It's just that what I'm saying has merit & validity in it's definition and/or description of what GT's Prologues & Concepts are.
My brothers one of them lol, they actually think gt5 will be the most realistic sim ever once it done, this is what they think gt5p is so pre alpha, they dont know what pre alhpha means of course, that once it finished it will be more realistic than iracing etc its hard to explain because i cant explain whats so far fetched, its beyond a bit of biased they dont know shit all really. But its more like gt5 p is gt5 except with out all of the the tracks and all the cars etc,
GT5 Prologue had no excuses... They had the newer game and still couldn't beat Forza 2. I have both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 and the only thing that I can see that GT5 Prologue has over Forza 2 is the graphics... Just!
honestly i didnt liked this episode the simrig compendium was too long and boring i would like to see more action instead of explaining you guys to subscribers - do what you gotta do dont worry about other opinions thats impossible to satisfy everyone there will always be complainings , One thing to say at the end - more often shows , more action , more various mods , not just reviews of this and that we can see this everywhere ,
One tip to the video editor: Don´t use fields in video to youtube, the moves from hans and other things get that ugly lines that blow up the video. U can get rid off it interpreting the video in after effects and rendering a version without fields. It will be really more pleasure to see Jessica s beauty without fields and in a progressive way! :D

Love Forza and damage. I have both Forza and GT5 P. but with no damage, no way to go ahead. its a shame that PD don´t face it in real way.
Great episode! I really hope you can keep these coming. I'm a PC sim fan thru and thru, but have no problems w/ your reviewing console racing games as long as they are of the quality of GT5 and Forza. PC sims are lacking in production car racing/driving, so these are very welcome additions in my opinion.
Good job at sticking to your guns IMO with the whole GT5 vs Forza 2. To be honest I haven't played either of them, but from what I've seen, your review was honest and up front. Besides, $40 for a demo? People are crazy.....
I forgot to say, love the new segment on sim rigs. I'm looking to buy one for myself, got my heart set on the obutto rig but there's no word on wether or not I can get hold of one in the UK.
gran turismo 5 will have about 1350 cars and around 30 tracks. so yeah gt5p is a demo. they did the same before gt4 came out. so making stupid comments and pulling faces about the people who left good comments won,t win you any fans. gt5 vs forza2 was a very sensitive subject.hope you learn from it.
Demo's aren't measured by their comparison to the finished game in proportion, anyone who pays $40 for a game then calls it a demo has no financial awareness really...
not a quality one. why would sony take away tuning options and not alot of cars that gt fans are used to. NO. there for it,s a demo to fund the changes that the fans want. end of.
Wait a sec.. Polyphony had sold 48 million copies of the GT franchise leading into GT5P. If you want to believe they needed your money to fund GT5.. You're dreaming.. Maybe Kaz should sell some of his car collection to fund the project next time. ;)
so your saying you don,t need subscribers or customers? to stay on the air.SAME thing as sony.are you that dumb.also the customers are always right.thats why you guys suck because you get into arguments with yours. WHY do reviews if only you guy,s are RIGHT.
don,t make me laugh. we're not selling you anything? if that was the case then your episodes would be about 5 mins long ;-). also you dodged the question about if you need subscribers and customers to stay on air.
All they did was review two console games, they're not trying to sell you either of them. I believe they also said multiple times it was their OPINION of the games, so how can their OPINION be wrong? Especially when they say "Voice YOUR opinion in the messages"? I don't know where your logic comes from....
Thanks canadianpie.. To Santa.. Did you pay for anything ? Does anyone have to pay anything to watch ?..
We don't need customers or subscribers to stay on the air.. Just like you, anyone can host a You Tube page. We definitely want more subscribers so that the show continues.. That way we can continue to upset people like you ;-)
upset me? more like make me laugh. so your answer is YES but you haven,t the balls to say it. all i said was sony needs the fans money so that the GT series continues. you said they don,t. what a stupid statement. end of.
who are you there bitch? all i said was they need subscribers and customers to stay on the air [or keep the show going]. means the same thing but simracingtonight couldn,t work that out.lol. same as sony or any company.they all need fans and customers to keep going[ another thing that simracingtonight still can,t work out.] also they do try to sell things. unless your a BAT.
I have owned both the PS3 and the xbox 360. so I can compare both games. My main gripe with the review was the physics scores, in forza 2 you just don't feel conected with the car compared to GT5 which feels perfect. Agree on the damage models or lack there of. Great show by the way.
hi, nice show again! it' s like you guys can read my mind! first i wanted a review of the fanatec carrera wheel, then the wheelstands and gran turismo 5 prologue, now the racing rigs and as a drift fan, i' ll sure love that special too! i' m also loving the tech corner, but what about tire pressure and camber for drifting?
It's not too hard, just run demon if the cars too twitchy, then gradually get more negative camber in the rear as you get more comfortable with the car.
Good show guys. I love the new Racing RIGS segment!
But, where is the RS reveiw?
I bought the wheel from January, and I hear it's been shipped couple of weeks ago.. SO in about a week I should get it.. I would love to see review before I get it ;)
hey guys when forza 4 comes out could you a do a GT5 vs FM4

Yes, FM3 does have tire deformation and 3 temperatures from each tire.
I just tested Ferrari California on FM3 demo with a gamepad.
Second gear, 50kph, Clutch open, revved high, engaged the clutch and after that i got enough slippage to the rear tires to get car to oversteer,
but the oversteer ended with little countersteer and it was even possible to survive almost 90 degree oversteer while the throttle was on full? :D
TC was off and car specs says 343kW...
hwkr 2 years ago
What makes you think that trying to slip the tires on a supercar in the demo was a good way to test the game?
Even real drivers say that Forza is realistic, dude. I think you're just mad because you can't be an elitist pc gamer anymore.

Big plus.
Arwin14 2 years ago 3
I heard you say 16 player online in GT5 Prologue versus 12 player online in Forza 2. However, having both I seem to recall that Forza 2 only supports 8 cars on track in any race, including online. That's also a simple peer-to-peer network support that has caused me a lot of headache.
I'm ok with you guys if you stay at this depth. But I'd love some experts going a bit deeper into testing the sim aspects of .. well ... sim racers, and I was hoping to find it here.
Arwin14 2 years ago
I own both consoles, games, and I use the MS wheel for Forza and the DFP for GT5:P. I agree with your comparison nearly completely. The only complaint I'd have is comparing number of cars/tracks for Prologue ($40 demo) to Forza. But I do agree that Forza has taken the console sim racing genre even further with the telemetry, damage (cosmetic and parts), parts and tires, etc.
Can't wait for your Forza 3 to GT5 comparison!

Hey!

I feel no diffrence from teck to track.
slenteng 2 years ago
At the heart of any sim is the immersion of the real world driving experience. My brother has a PS2 and 5 GAMES with a Playseat and a G25. I have a G25 a computer rated at 6 by Microsoft and it's not even a comparison really.
slenteng 2 years ago
Couple things guys. I love your show and think J.Lo jr. is quite attractive. I'm an Rfactor,LFS dude and love PC sims for there relative accuracy. I think i understand your sudden your fasinacition with the console GAMES. I think it's an attempt to appeal to a broader audience because in no way can you reall tell me or any sim racer that console GAMES are on par. cont.
slenteng 2 years ago
I don't have a PS3, but i have clocked over 500 hours into forza 2 over the last 2 years. What makes it great, like many of the other best racing sims out there is the community. The Auction house and other features mean FM2 has much more to offer to me than GT5P would.
zudthespud 2 years ago
Well yeah, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is just that, a prologue, a demo, or whatever....we'll see when the full game comes out, Forza is very nice too.
MoonOvIce 2 years ago
No you miss the point- the car painting, customisation and distribution system that Forza has is unique, and that is one of the main reasons i like it. I can express myself on the side of my race car and that is brilliant. With GT5 customisation of paint jobs goes as far as changing the colour. Thats not the only reason i like forza, and i'm sure i would love GT5, but it is one of the best things about forza that GT5 can't do, like the number of polygons in GT5 that nobody else can match.
zudthespud 2 years ago
Oh yeah you're right, that IS unique about Forza, I remember the first one where you could fully customize your car with decals, different painting and such, it was awesome.
MoonOvIce 2 years ago
I'm not used to writing comments and such, but i wonder with all sim and sim-arcadish racing games reviewed and re-reviewed through all 40 episodes, have you guys consider reviewing top mods that occured in rFactor or other meanwhile? I mean Formula1 by MMG and CTDP for rF, Power&Glory for GTR2 to name some. I think theres more to the sim community than Forza and GT5 all over again.
nokadota2 2 years ago
Also tracks, Virtua_LM's Mid Ohio and LeMans or CTDP's Bahrain. These mods/add-ons compare in quality build with most big houses/sim developer models, and there free of charge. What a boost would a review bring to the community and many will get informed on what mods can do to revitalise a sim game.
nokadota2 2 years ago
guys, you dont have to explain yourselves about your opinions being paid or not, is your opinion and agreeing with you or not should be part of the fun, but I actually am surprised about all the flack....it seems like you had to be right all the time and please everyone for people to not complain :S. Just go on with your ever improving show, I personally believe you do this for sheer passion.
keep your great work, lots of us really enjoy it, including the opinions I don´t agree with
ceSniperFactor 2 years ago

Online is crappy, but I found the AI drives a lot like the peeps, and 16 car races rock.

simracingtonight 2 years ago
What?!! thats like a year later then they should have come, the original air date was 15 februari r sumthing?!
JoeyJIL 2 years ago

Appellusiomocracy89 2 years ago
Arca provides some pretty awesome oval racing. Supposedly some mods are coming for it soon as well. Also in Arca you can run private leagues and tailor the races the way you want.
iRacing is also awesome with a variety of divisions from Legends cars up to the COT. You have to work your way up to run the big cars.. Right now it would take about a year to run the COT

You guys ought to consider looking at Richard Burns Rally; realism + fun unlike any other game i've played. well worth reviewing!

We covered the RSRBR 09 mod for Richard Burns I believe in episode 37. Richard Burns is one of the best racing sims ever made !
It'll be back on the show soon..
simracingtonight 2 years ago
In games you might be able to adjust them in 2 different ways (pressure and compound), but in reality tires are way more complex, slip angles, side wall deflection, camber thrust, those and many other factors are tuned to produce massively different handling characteristics.
If you study race vehicle dynamics, you start with an understanding of tire slip angles (tire twists due to forces which is where all your grip comes from).
wolfie54321 2 years ago
We'll get to that in part 2 on tires ;-)

have you guys tried the buttkicker on forza 2 and gt5 prologue?
i just tried race pro with the buttkicker. I really like it. I could feel the back-fire and the pavement.
Is this how good the buttkicker feels on PC racing sims?
I tried the grid demo with the buttkicker but it was not as impressive.
Does forza 2 and gt5p work well with the buttkicker buttkicker like race pro?

Gran Turismo 5 prologue IS the best sim on PS3. There's no sim on the PC that lets you enter so many different types of production / tuned cars in the same race - and be able to find a race online at any reasonable hour. If there was, i'd run it. I gave up on rFactor long ago.
MaxxxPower20 2 years ago
Then you don't see any difference between arcade and simulation games.

rFactor, ORR 2 Mod at Chula Vista
simracingtonight 2 years ago
Does this mean you want to use that "mod" for the shootout?
vicbel 2 years ago
Yes.
ARCA Sim Racing uses the rFactor/ISI engine.
As such, it sometimes gets derided by detractors saying it's:
"nothing more than an rFactor mod you have to pay for"
So I think will be interesting to compare it to an actual rFactor stock-car mod.
Tonytonyaaa 2 years ago
Don't forget that Arca is not the only company to use the powerful ISI engine.. Sim Bin and 2 Pez also developed commercial titles from this engine.
Sorry, that comparo won't be done though...

OnerGT 2 years ago
Prologue ~ A preliminary discourse; a preface or introductory part of a discourse. Preceding event that shows a solid idea/line of a final product
Demo ~ A brief illustration, short, early, barely-functional version of a program with bugs ranging from minor to numerous of which can be used for demonstration purposes only for a test run but not a full product
Your opinion has been misinformed by your inability to admit what a Prologue/Concept is and what it has been to the GT line of products
OnerGT 2 years ago
lol.. oh man not you again ;)
simracingtonight 2 years ago
NP man, I'll behave ;) ~ Actually I have to apologize for how some of my words may come off. It's just that what I'm saying has merit & validity in it's definition and/or description of what GT's Prologues & Concepts are.

and forza 3 has better physics and its older than gt5p so imagine if turn 10 pull it off again they will prolly beat gt5.
paulbutkiss 2 years ago 2
My brothers one of them lol, they actually think gt5 will be the most realistic sim ever once it done, this is what they think gt5p is so pre alpha, they dont know what pre alhpha means of course, that once it finished it will be more realistic than iracing etc its hard to explain because i cant explain whats so far fetched, its beyond a bit of biased they dont know shit all really. But its more like gt5 p is gt5 except with out all of the the tracks and all the cars etc,
paulbutkiss 2 years ago 3
GT5 Prologue had no excuses... They had the newer game and still couldn't beat Forza 2. I have both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 and the only thing that I can see that GT5 Prologue has over Forza 2 is the graphics... Just!

Loved the shootout. Hope you do more of them.
Maybe a NFS:Shift vs GRID?
Or rFactor vs GTR2 --both with all their best mods installed.
I own and enjoy both Forza 2 and GT5:P and agree with your results more or less
Not sure about how you categorized the "physics" category--the commentary wasn't very clear--what exactly is included in this rating?
Is it just if the "feel" of the car is realistic, or do things like whether or not temperate, wear and tear, etc. are modeled play a part?
Tonytonyaaa 2 years ago

One tip to the video editor: Don´t use fields in video to youtube, the moves from hans and other things get that ugly lines that blow up the video. U can get rid off it interpreting the video in after effects and rendering a version without fields. It will be really more pleasure to see Jessica s beauty without fields and in a progressive way! :D

Great episode! I really hope you can keep these coming. I'm a PC sim fan thru and thru, but have no problems w/ your reviewing console racing games as long as they are of the quality of GT5 and Forza. gran turismo 5 will have about 1350 cars and around 30 tracks. so yeah gt5p is a demo. they did the same before gt4 came out. so making stupid comments and pulling faces about the people who left good comments won,t win you any fans. gt5 vs forza2 was a very sensitive subject.hope you learn from it.

santclause1 2 years ago
All they did was review two console games, they're not trying to sell you either of them. I believe they also said multiple times it was their OPINION of the games, so how can their OPINION be wrong? santclause1 2 years ago
I have owned both the PS3 and the xbox 360. so I can compare both games. My main gripe with the review was the physics scores, in forza 2 you just don't feel conected with the car compared to GT5 which feels perfect. Agree on the damage models or lack there of. Great show by the way.
MikeBingo1 2 years ago 2
and another thing. the main problem with comparing GT5 to Forza 2 is you are pitting console against console which brings fanboyism into play.
