This movie was absolutely phenomenal. I don't know who reviewed, and i actually haven't read any reviews so I can only say so much, but I heard they were bad. Which is BS. If people can't recognize a good film anymore, I don't know what this world has come to. It's amazing. It's beyond that. And then some.

Great movie but this review sucks, there was no mention of the aboriginal story line at all which is the most important part of this movie in creating unification. ITN no jack shit about movies.

I used to live next door to a whore in WA who used to stand out the front of her house in a chinese get-up just like the dress in this movie. when she wasn't entertaining the hood, she & her underage brother would repeatedly break into my house to steal. the Oz police wouldnt touch them because I was European & they protect their own. I think of them everytime I see this tourist BS propaganada & wonder WHO THE HELL WANTS TO GO TO AUSTRALIA TO EXPERIENCE THAT! I escaped & have never gone back!

Thus was a great film..Hugh Jackman and Niclole Kidman are wonderful...EPIC. Australia is a country that everyone should visit--New Zealand is dramatic and gorgeous, but Australia is so different, yet familaira, to Americans. NZ is so brit--airs of superiority from the brits who don't belong there--lovely country if the brits would leave. Australia is a land of those sent there as --well, unwelcome brits..and the native peoples...a mixture of orphans and natives. AUS all the way!

I just saw this movie and OMG...it's wonderful. A must see for all Hugh fans. If possible, I think I love his portrayal of the Drover even more than Wolverine (maybe, or maybe I've just been suffering from Hugh withdrawal). Anyway, I loved this movie and you will too;)

Don't listen to the negative reviews of Australia -- it's great! I really enjoyed it and so did my teenage sons and husband. It captures the magic of Australia -- we were there in 2002. A beautiful movie.
