The magnet on the wheel (if it is a magnet) triggers the sensor for the speedometer above the wheel... A magnet strong enough to turn the wheel on its own would probably be stronger than the hamster. BTW, anyone able to read what units of measure the speedometer is using? Even in fpm, he's flying!
