  • Does jumping rope burn calories after you stop, like the afterburn effect?

  • Did you mainly use the jump rope as your sole workout to shed all the pounds and tone up, or did you just combine it into other workouts? You are truly an inspiration, thank you so much for sharing this with everyone :)

  • @etip321 Thanks! I weight trained every other day as well as jump rope.

  • Great . Thanks for posting.

  • @mrtruthforever Your welcome!

  • I am getting better at the jump rope but I can't do that technique at 27secs how do you do it? Also I'm 5 foot 7 69kg I wanna cut my weight to 63 but It's not working I've done everything from jogging boxing eatting less fat cutting down on beer and Ive still been 69kg for the last 2 years what's happening?

  • @aussielad83 Somehow you are eating more calories than you are burning. Keep an eye out for what your eating.

  • i want lose belly fat. i skipp rope almost every day. how many jumps i have to do that i lose 10 cm?

  • @MrSomedaygirl Just start jumping for 30 minutes to start. Burn calories and the fat will come off. Remember to eat a low fat, low sugar diet as well.

  • Hi, there At 1:56 what is the name of that song love to add that to my routine?

  • @hbak22 Untouched by the Veronicas

  • ru going to post any new video's on jump rope?

  • @jamardjk I'm dealing with a pulled groin right now. Hopefully in a couple of months

  • What kind of jump rope do you use?

  • @petersj917 Aerospeed

  • @jumpropeclass I've been told that those jump ropes don't hold up for that long. Is this true?

  • hi, what body fat percentage do you have?? . And does skipping for about 2 hours a day burn muscle mass also?

  • @charlietangossss I have no idea. Never wanted to know. Jumping for a long period of time will burn your muscle mass. But eating small amounts of carbs during the exercise will help keep your body from going to your muscle for fuel.

  • i u dont look at the rope and imagin that he didnt have it it looks soooo funny

  • great video!!i want to be like you with the rope :)

  • @Hesperos00 Thanks. You definitely can. Good Luck!

  • Does jumping rope give you bigger calves? I already have huge calves so i dont wanna build more on that. Let me know. please.. .. (its already painful to find boots)

  • @haojagoi Your calves will be cut. You won't build size with endurance exercises.

  • @jumpropeclass Thanks .. i have started basic jumping routines..you make it look so easy. ;) thanks for the clarification.

  • it look slike you are not even jumping wtf thats like magic!

  • @pezilla123 Haha. No, I just become one with the music. The beat and music puts me in a peaceful place. the rest is just consistancy.

  • you make it look so easy. make a tutorial for the tricks please

  • @xoSiNgInGiNtHeRaInox We shall see. In training for a marathon now. Maybe after January.

  • Inspiring!

  • @mightyachillies Thanks!

  • @ashantybbmcarlo Thanks! Go by time, not jumps. try 30 min. Work your way up to an hour. Just eat a low fat, low sugar diet. 5 small meals a day. Hope that helps. Good Luck! Keep me posted.

  • This is the only activity that both 12 year old girls and straight up G's partake in. I just started. Can't wait to get better

  • @ams914 Nice!!!!! Keep it up!

  • Hey is it the aeroospeed you use? I have been jumping for a while, but it actually feels pretty slow when i sue it :(

  • @dkzjesse Make sure to oil the swivels with Marvel oil, which you can get from any auto parts store. They will eventually snap if you dont. Take the handle and spin it. If it doesn't continue to spin for at least 15 seconds, you need to oil it.

  • @jumpropeclass how do you jump rope with out having to jump high off the ground like you are doing in the video?

  • @dkzjesse Yes it is. You have to oil the swivel with Marvel oil. Otherwise, it will break. You should be able to spin the handle so it keep spinning for about 15-20 seconds.

  • Dude your the Jump Rope Ninja!!!

  • @forsakenmagic Haha. Thanks, but not even close.

  • @forsakenmagic Not even close, but thanks. Haha!

  • I've recently begun jumping rope. I have the basics down, but from time to time I tend to get tripped up. I"m amazed at how long you go without any errors. Any suggestions to help get my timing down better? I've also noticed that you barely jump off the floor, while when I do it, I seem to have to get at least a few inches up or it gets caught on my shoes. Again any suggestions?

  • @lakerfan0852 Your feet should be up in the air by the time the rope passes under them. Try following that rhythm. Jumping high in the air wastes energy. Keep it low. Keep up the good work man!!

  • i recently started jump roping and i lost 2 pounds in 1week !!!

and the more i do it the less sore and tried i get if i would of known this along time ago i probably would of been at my weight goal by now

  • @lacholaloca Great Job!!!! Keep it movin!!!

  • jumalauta mies vetää jossai jumalatasol narus, curtsey

  • wtf...skipping rope gold medalist

  • how long do u thing i should jump work for to lose 20 or 15 pounds and should i do varachens with it like jump side to side

  • @bestboarder123 you have to work your way up to an hour. Start with 30 min.

  • his sets are about 50 sec :)

  • @Xtaz1V haha. for the video. They are usually 2 hours.

  • You are such an inspiration!

If I jumped rope for 30mins non stop daily, would I be able to lose say, 40lbs in 3 months, coupled with a strict diet of course?

  • @lwordke That sounds about right. 13 lbs. a month.

  • Dude, doing work! I try doing those side swings and when I come back to center to jump it it's all tangled; just went and bought a speed rope today to see if that will help me any. I'll keep at it.

  • @oahudallas Good!! Don't give up. Try the moves without jumping first, them add them in slowly.

  • WOW!!!

    AMAZING!!!

    Congrats!!!

  • @edseas2 Thanks!! Appreciate the kind words!

  • jump roping gives u bigger calves muscles?

  • @AlanNekroman They get toned and lean.

  • You are a beast man! I've been jump roping to lose weight a few times a week, 30 min each time

  • @ampeddd Thanks!! Keep up the good work!!!

  • did you really lose 100lbs from jump roping? ive been jump roping for about 2 to 3 months now and i must say i have lost a lot of weight, i was really big (fat) but now im looking good ;D

  • @ezio0501 Yes. Gained 60 lbs back after I lost 100 and had to do it all over again. Good for you!! keep at it.

  • @jumpropeclass thanks for the reply, and i will thanks, nice video, keep up the good work. your looking great!

  • Legend, inspirational.

  • @ThePhantastes Thanks. I don't know about a legend though. LOL.

  • I LOVE how you use music to time your jumps. I find it easier to keep rhythm when I use music to set the pace. Grats on the weight loss. I lost over 100 pounds myself and I know it's hard as hell! Good job and the huge accomplishment.

  • @CoachGinn81 Thanks Coach! It is, but I do it so I can be on this earth for my daughter!!

  • for you guys asking do skipping on a wooden floor/gym. Concrete or other hard surface will give you sore calves

  • @BallisticBrawler Absolutely true. Use a mat if you have to jump on concrete.

  • @BallisticBrawler well what the fuck else are u serpose to do it on

  • @paramain You could use grass. easy on the knees.

  • Yo how many days a week do u jump

  • @rumblingc between 5 and 6 days a week for 1 - 3 hours.

  • @jumpropeclass DAMN Nice

  • 2:01 idk why but you reminded me of the guy off white chicks lmfao. but nice footwork lol

  • @bigplayer2382 LMAO!!!!!! I get that ALL the time. haha. Thanks.

  • hello there friend...I'm obese and I'm doing skipping from last 15 days girly 100 and alternate knees 100 ,but my legs below knee hurt like hell at night...is it normal? and another question is can I follow only skipping as an excercise to lose weight or do some other cardio and gym excercises.

  • @sidrocks182 You are getting shin splints. make sure to stretch afterwards.

Also, try to jump once per revolution of the rope. The girly jumps wear on your legs more.

I only jumped because at that weight, I couldn't run. You can try walking also uphill to change things up.

Good Job Man!!!!! Keep me posted!!!!

  • @sidrocks182 Also, you can use the eliptical machines at the gym. They are great. No stress on your joints.

  • You are an absolute monster! I checked out your before and after pictures and that is AWESOME!!!

  • @BowhuntingManiac Thanks man. It's a constant struggle!!

  • @jumpropeclass Is there any kind of specific diet you did?

  • How long should you do this a day to make a difference?? BTW you look awesome doing this!

  • @xxtheoraclexx Start of with 15 - 20 min and work your way up to about an hour. Thanks for the compliment!!

  • Ripping it up! You make this look like an art.

  • @fretfanaticno1 Thanks !!!!!

  • wow. i also jump rope, but you look so calm and focused when you do! nice work

and is this the only workout you did to lose all the weight??

  • @droidx11 This and Weight training. I also run used to run every other weekend about 13 miles.

  • wow. i also jump rope, but you look so calm and focused when you do! nice work

  • im bouda try this and try to lose at least 20 lbs

  • @prettygirlrock46 Good for you!!! Do It!!!!

  • looks like apolo in rocky :) jajaja you're amazing dude!

  • @lenwapo Hahaha!!! Thanks, but I don't know about that.

  • So all you did was jump rope? Nothing else like strength training?

  • @boundary121 I train weights 2 - 3 times a week. I also run every other weekend. 10 miles depending on the weather.

  • YOU'RE AMAZING, Hi there, I am 54 years young and want to lose weight but will this kill my knees?..they do hurt once in awhile..please can I have your thoughts on this?...thanks

  • @gjax57 if you keep your knees slightly bent and your flute and absolutely tight, then you you'll be fine. Just make sure to stretch your legs and roll your legs with a foam roller. Very very important.

  • @jumpropeclass thank you so much hun, now to find me a foam roller lol...I wish I knew what I was looking for..any suggestions on where to get one? thanks so much..i'm going to check out your myspace :)

  • You are great man!

  • @mhd112211 Thanks!! I try. All for my daughter.

  • Can't wait until my rope comes... Kinda bored with pushups and barbells.

  • This looks like something I could do. Is there a particular kind of rope that's better than others?

    Thanks

  • @klank67 I like to use the aero speed II from Buddy Lee jump ropes.com. Is a speed rope

  • @jumpropeclass thanks! I'm on my second rope from Target and it's holding me back. Is there a store local in LA we can walk in and buy from? Or just online store is best? thx

  • @ouluvme2 I think there only available on line. I'm not sure.

  • And which one on that website specifically? Is the 12 dollar speed rope good enough or what you're using here?

  • @ouluvme2. Go to Buddy lee's website YouTube won't let me to put the website in the comments.

  • what about the time, how much do i have to do this

  • @gunswiohdn Do as much as you can. I would recommend you do intervals of 2 minutes at a time, if you can go longer definitely increase the time.

    Try this 10 times

    2 minutes of jump roping

    1 minute of rest

You'll build up your stamina, and endurance in your leg muscles like calves very fast. You'll get better each day, that's how cardio works. You have to continue to pushing yourself :) Try that routine I gave you, if it's too easy increase the jump rope time from 2 minutes to 3 and so forth

  • @sinz187 Thanks a lot man i'll start right away ... i thought nobody answered this questions hahaha

    Greetings from colombia!

  • @gunswiohdn start off with 15 minutes. You want to grace Lee work up to in our without stopping you can take many breaks is you want to go to keep going. Get an iPod so you can just get lost in the music and not think about how long do jumping, good luck.

  • @jumpropeclass ahha Music can definitely make someone go crazy . it makes a big help about endurance in rope jumping =]

  • Omg man , youre dancing!!! :)

  • @Azatis Hahaha! That's what the women at my gym tell me all the time!!

  • What kind of jump rope do you use?

  • this is pro

  • @chillerman625 There are MANY that are better than me, but thanks anyway.

  • @jumpropeclass can jumping rope burn fat ? my hands are thin and skinny but my belly is very fat... I want belly burn fat

  • Yes it can along with a low sugar low fat diet.@vios688

  • @jumpropeclass nice but sometime I feel tried and leg is like burning so I stop 15 seconds to drink water .. is it okay ? I rope jumping 30 mins everyday is it enough ?

  • Wow, amazing!!!

I started jumping rope a few months ago, but had to stop because I fell on my ribs and was in excruciating pain for months. Do you think it would be ok to slowly get back into it, or should I wait until the rib pain is completely gone. I miss doing this, though obviously I'm not as good as you, but it's a really great, fun workout to do :)

  • dude your like the hulk lol Great vid. it made me buy a rope and ive lost 10pounds in 8days. you made me feel great :)

  • @iiTzDeViL Great Job!!!!! I'm glad to hear that my experience is helping others. That's what these video's are all about. Keep me posted on your progress!!!

  • maaaan you'ew good

  • @ivoandsumi Thanks. Nothing special about me. anyone can do it.

  • any tips on the jumping part , seems like im jumping too much compared to you as you almost skip along the ground :/

  • @TheGenetic1 Just don't jump so high. It wastes energy. Stay on the balls of your feet.

  • Thats whats up!!!!

vid just inspired me to buy a rope and add it to my workouts!!!

    Your a GREAT Skipper!

  • cut my pie into pieces, this is my last desert...

  • awesome! Im convinced that jumping rope is the best exercise there is :-)

  • Wow you are good.

  • i can do about 50 jumps but than the rope hits my legs, but i don't feel tired at all why is that?

  • @sagigur you might want to check the length of the rope. It might be to short or long. Otherwise, it might be your timing from fatigue.

  • Hi mate, amazing. Im pretty good at it to, not as good as you tho!

I was wandering what kind of rope you can use, to skip outside?

  • @dkzjesse an aerospeed II Titanium handles.

  • @jumpropeclass

    Allright cheers!

  • @jumpropeclass

Is it suitable for jumping on concrete?

  • @dkzjesse My bad. Don't use the aerospeeed outside. I went through mine in a day. Use a nylon rope instead.

  • @jumpropeclass

No worries, you probably dont understand how happy i am that you answer

  • @jumpropeclass

Allright, thanks alot, i also tried the Aerospeed, 1 day on concrete, and it was almost through the steel. But are nylon ropes fast enough? :)
