@rjherche 420 BHP is still very good as, with the 911 tt, you can use that power where many other so called supercars have more BHP but can't use it as the chassis is not up to it or the way they use it just does not allow th power to be placed onto the road. BTW, it is really not a big problem to tune to 700 bhp and if you have the cash then you can get 850 from the unit and it'll be stable with no real problems. The engine in the 996 tt is amazing.

I have a 996 tiptronic, the engine is superb and is very easily remapped to give more from it's incredible poitential. I have mine at 510 BHP with 660 pounds foot of torque. I find that is just right and actually makes for better fuel economy in the tiptronic as it savs on downchanges due to the added torque. Be careful NOT to dyno it without disabling the haldex 4x4 system. Pick a reputable tuning company such as AMD or Celtic tuning. I love my turbo !

Be aware it's a tricky car with tc off though .

That said, also better search for a porsche-dealer giving you maybe a higher price, but also waranty and all the right info .

Also you'll get the benefits of being a porsche-owner..invitations to porsche-events in vip-area's etc ...lovely way to enjoy your porsche-dream to the max ;-)

It may cost a bit more , but you'll be sure to have a good one and have the benefits of the dealer counts on all areas ;-)

@hooch1666 The 996 number refers to the variant of 911 it is. Right now we have the generation 2 997 911, this is the facelift generation 996 911. The 993 is a 911 and there are many more going back to the first in 1963. They are AL 911's jut that they have different moel names. Ford wold use words cuah as mark 1, mark 2, mark 3 with Cortina etc.

@Towelman20 and you can use it as your daily driver too, unlike the lambos, ferraris which won't go over a speed bump lol. I love my 996 tt. Wouldnn't part with it now I have it to my own spec. It shocks people when I take them out. Hasd it remapped, different exhaust, rims, all carbon fibre trim etc. The best car I have ever had.
