I don't understand why the British aren't more patriotic in their OWN country. Great Britain (England) has more to be proud of than any other nation in Europe.

@HarryBodensson Yes, I'm fully aware that Britain is England, Wales, and Scotland. The UK includes the aforementioned plus Northern Ireland. I was implying that "Britain" (mostly England since Britain is dominated by England--hence "England" in brackets) has lots to be proud of (source: British citizen living abroad).

Britain is a Greek and then Celtic word describing the inhabitants of the island BEFORE the English arrive in about 430AD so how can Britain describe the England well not the true England anyway.

I was asked to and did sing this about 5 years ago at a forces tribute concert and it was very difficult to get through because it really does bring a lump to the throat - not good for singing!! Great lyrics and hugely patriotic and bloody right!!!

We only get called racist because we only see the Cross of St George at footie time or in the hands of the bnp and there sort.

If we all took pride in OUR flag and flew it from our cars and houses then it would become the flag of the majority, not the extreemist minority.

'Rose of England' is from Vera Lynn's album: "More Hits Of The Blitz" This album was distributed in 1966.

It is not racist to defend one's nation from foreign invaders, nor from disloyal citizens within. Remember that there is still an active, international Marxist movement, in addition to the threat of Muslim Jihad against the West. Arm yourselves, which includes "counter-propaganda" at every turn.
