it is incorrect to say that Dodo's never developed flying abilities. They used to fly but lost their flying abilities after making Mauritius their home. The bit about it being due to no predators is correct though .. they also weren't very tasty.

@someone2121996 I highly doubt that the dodos became extinct because we ate them since their physique is way too bony with too little meat for us to eat. I think it is because we brought many non-foreign species to invade their living range such as pigs, monkeys, dogs, etc...giving them no chance to reproduce.

Annihilated by men, rats, and dogs. It's both funny and sad. And it's only funny in an ironic sort of way (ironic because it's a sad truth but somehow the truth of it is funny because it shows humans as the degenerate and hypocritical species we are...and I don't why that's funny but it is). It's not really the rats' and dogs'. They were just trying to survive. It wasn't their choice to be taken to a foreign land where they didn't belong. Sort of makes a case for xenophobia on the dodo's behalf.
