Just because someone thought it was real doesn't mean they are retarded. Of course I didn't believe any of it, but the movie clearly tells you that it is based on true events. It even thanks the families for letting them use the footage. I can see why people believed that it was real.

u dont need proof that its fake, theres a notification that pops up at the end of the film and if u pause the video u can read all of it. it clearly says "all events and characters in this feature are fictional. Any resemblance to real life events or people is just coincidence" :)
