Hi there, I feel your pain, ive been struggling with eczema for many years (had it when i was 3-5, stayed away till i was 15 and i still have it) i am trying to steer clear away from steriod creams but the doc puts me straight on them again, which makes me angry because it is just a quick fix and does more damage in the long run then good.
i have recently purchased 100% natural handmade products off a trading website by some one who is a cosmaceutical technician, and they have worked so well that all moisture is regained in my face, it doesnt feel dry and my eyelids and nose bridge is healed up, i have not had to use my steriod cream since.
the first product is Eczema & Dermatitis lotion - Itch Be Gone which contains Apricot Kernel, Calendula, Comfrey, Grapeseed, Jojoba, Olive & Sweet Almond oils, Bees wax, Cocoa Butter, Witch Hazel, Vitamin E, 100% Pure Natural Essential Oils of Lavender and Niaouli. the 2nd product i use is Organic Unrefined Shea Butter which is said to be helpful with eczema, irritated skin, rashes, scars & wrinkles
. This wonderful natural butter melts on contact with the skin and is very moisturising and penetrates the skin quite quickly. Shea Butter is naturally rich in Vitamins A, E, and F, as well as a number of other vitamins and minerals. Vitamins A and E help to soothe, hydrate, and balance the skin. They also provide skin collagen which assists with wrinkles and other signs of aging. Vitamin F contains essential fatty acids, and helps protect and revitalize damaged skin and hair.
And the third product is 100% Pure Cold Pressed Unrefined Rosehip oil which is extremely high in essential fatty acids and is known to help look after dry, irritated, weathered and mature skin. It is also suitable for using on burns, scars and stretch marks. Used to moisturise, tone, nourish & soften the skin. It can be used on the face and body. Contains natural antioxidants and vitamins. I hope this helps, you can purchase these on trademe.co.nz or go to your local pharmacy/ cosmaceutical :)
I am having the same problem. My eye lids were very very itchy. Really drive my crazy. I went to see Doctor. My Doctor said eczema does not grow on eye lids. My doctor said that it
is fungal infection. She gave me medicine and cream to apply. Today is the 5th day after seeing the Doctor. I can see myself recovering. Looking forward to use my make-up kits again.
I too suffer with eczema on my eye lids. Same thing happened with me and the steroid cream. I did find something tat works amazing. Elisabeth Arden's 8 hour cream. It's like a sap....I put it on my eczema and it works!
Message me if you would like to know what I did to stop my problems with eczema. The items I use are cheap and can be purchased at department/drugstores and will NOT thin your skin like steroids. I tried putting the info in here but its too much and YouTube won't let it go through. Best wishes
You can either get the serum for $98 or the eye cream which is more moisturizing and less concentrated for 115 I think! but the lady was sweet and she gave a generous amount of sample so I could try it before spending so much! I purchased the serum!
HOWEVER the ingredients are specially made for anyone!!! it has special anti oxidents and a certain ingredient that helps patchy skin and oh my gosh!!! I finally was able to put aside my prescription eyecream after years and years!!! cause the medicine was making the skin around my eyes age faster! anyways this product is heaven on earth!!!
I have the same problem around my eyes and have had it since childhood! It drives me nuts especially that I am a makeup junkie! I have tried any eye cream you can possibly think of and they all just made it worse! Believe it or not I was at macys and I was looking at the prevage elizabeth garden products that are super expensive,
I stopped wearing eye makeup the past year because it was slightly aggravating, and anything hurtful I've tried to nix since eye eczema is so tiny yet so painful. I would never recommend aveeno and I don't recommend steroid creams around the eyes (even though a dermatologist has told me it was ok, I had bad side affects, though I still use steroids on the rest of my body, my eyesight is too precious). I DO RECOMMEND regular AQUAPHOR, it's by Eucerin but I don't recommend other Eucerin products.
I remember that. I used to have cracked under-eye skin and my doctor gave me steroid cream too :c It burned like hell for 1 week I have had eczema for 5 years,Serious for 1 now.But I manage,to get it down to only my hand(it's almost the complete top of my hand spreading to my wrist now)As the person below stated it may be something in your diet. Aveno baby works to soothe it but you will still need other stronger things such as steroid creams :/.
Do this diet, it erased my eczema. daily oranges, apples carrots potatoes tuna goats milk flaxseed spinach 2lt water (moisturizing shower get called dermol) (petroleam jelly with vitamin e and aloe vera cream)
Do not eat these. dairy cows milk wheat eggs gluten smoking alcohol junk food
I have eczema too. I recently saw a chinese herbal doctor and he has given me herbs to drink and claims it will cure it forever in 3-6 weeks!!

And don't follow random diets like recommended below until you are food allergy tested. Oranges and Apples would only make my face eczema worse.
